Tessanne Chin has drafted Dwayne “Supa Dups” Chin-Quee and Mitchum Chin for her upcoming debut album with Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

The songwriting and production duo have previously helmed works for Mary J. Blige [Matriarch / Geffen Records], John Legend [G.O.O.D. Music / Columbia Records] and Bruno Mars [Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records].

Some of their recent credits include “Smoke the Weed” by Snoop Lion [Mad Decent / RCA Records], “Like I Love You” by Melanie Fiona [Motown / Republic Records] and “Can’t Live in a World” by Cover Drive [Polydor Records].

Tessanne’s highly-anticipated LP is confirmed to boast further productions from Shama “Sak Pase” Joseph (Rihanna, Elle Varner), Ryan “Alias” Tedder (Beyoncé, Ella Henderson) and Toby Gad (Robin Thicke, Alicia Keys).

On the songwriting front, the “Tumbling Down” star collaborated with Diane Warren (Adele, Celine Dion), Autumn Rowe (Leona Lewis, Angel Haze), Lil Eddie (Fefe Dobson, Cody Simpson) and Planet VI (Usher, Keri Hilson).

Kelly Rowland reunites with Pharrell Williams for new album

Singer/songwriter Kelly Rowland is scheduled to collaborate with Pharrell Williams for her upcoming as-yet-untitled fifth studio album.

The pair previously teamed up on “Talk a Good Game” tracks “Street Life,” “Stand in Front of Me” and “Feet to the Fire.”

Other notable credits by Williams include Leah Labelle’s “Lolita” [Epic Records], Beyonce’s “Blow” [Columbia Records], Ed Sheeran’s “Sing” [Atlantic Records] and Kylie Minogue’s “I Was Gonna Cancel” [Parlophone Records].

The new collection by Rowland is expected to boast further productions from Christopher “Tricky” Stewart (Kat Dahlia, Mario Barrett) and Terius “The-Dream” Nash (Chris Brown, Nicole Scherzinger).

On the songwriting front, she has teamed up with Diane Warren (Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston), Lonny Bereal (Tank, Keyshia Cole), Traci Hale (Rihanna, Britney Spears), and Andre Merritt (Paloma Faith, Melanie Fiona).

Meanwhile, fans of Pharrell’s production work should keep an eye on the next projects by Alicia Keys [RCA Records], Stacy Barthe [Motown Records], Tori Kelly [Capitol Records] and Jessie J [Republic Records].

Jojo enlists Eric Bellinger for new album

Singer/songwriter Jojo has enlisted R&B crooner Eric Bellinger for her third LP.

The still-untitled project – which serves as the follow-up to 2006’s “The High Road” – is scheduled for release later this year via Atlantic Records.

Bellinger has previously penned works for Chris Brown [RCA Records], Jennifer Lopez [Capitol Records], RaVaughn [Columbia Records], Selena Gomez [Hollywood Records] and Christina Milian [Young Money Records].

Some of his recent credits include “Nowhere” by MKTO [Columbia Records], “Kiss It” by Dev f/ Sage the Gemini [Republic Records] and “Sex in the Ceiling” by Sevyn Streeter [CBE / Atlantic Records].

He also signed a new deal with Lyor Cohen’s 300 Entertainment – which is a subsidiary of Warner Music Group – to release, market and promote his debut solo album, “The Rebirth.”

Among the other songwriters and producers confirmed for Jojo’s highly-anticipated LP are Da Internz (Usher, Jazmine Sullivan), Marsha Ambrosius (Daley, Alicia Keys) and Diane Warren (Brandy, Toni Braxton).

Paloma Faith unveils “Only Love Can Hurt Like This” music video

Paloma Faith has unveiled the music video for her new single online.

“Only Love Can Hurt Like This” marks the second promotional single from the British singer/songwriter’s third studio album, “A Perfect Contradiction,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The track was written by Diane Warren, whose recent credits include “Unfinished Songs” (performed by Celine Dion), “Heart By Heart” (performed by Demi Lovato) and “You Don’t Have the Right” (performed by The Saturdays).

She also worked on the next albums by Adele [XL Recordings], Jojo [Atlantic Records], Ella Henderson [Syco Music], Mutya Keisha Siobhan [Polydor Records], Tessanne [Republic Records] and Kelly Rowland [TBA].

“Only Love Can Hurt Like This” serves as the follow-up to “Can’t Rely on You,” which peaked at number ten on the Official UK Singles Chart.

“A Perfect Contradiction” boasts further contributions from Pharrell Williams (Brandy, Mariah Carey), Andrea Martin (Fergie, Jordin Sparks), Raphael Saadiq (Joss Stone, Erykah Badu) and Chris Braide (Beyonce, Sia Furler).

Kelly Rowland hits the studio with songwriting team Bloodline

Singer/songwriter Kelly Rowland is currently recording new material for her upcoming as-yet-untitled fifth studio album.

Among the musicians drafted for the project are songwriting team Bloodline, which consists of sisters Nyla, Nyanda, Tasha and Candace Thorbourne.

Some of their notable credits are “Say Yes” by Nicole Scherzinger [Interscope Records] and “Follow the Leader” by Wisin & Yandel [WY Records].

Their extensive resume also includes works for Christina Aguilera [RCA Records], Jennifer Lopez [Capitol Records], Craig David [Universal Music] and Christina Milian [Young Money Records].

Bloodline member Nyla recently collaborated with Sean Paul on the track “Pornstar,” taken from the dancehall artist’s latest album, “Full Frequency,” out now via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

Meanwhile, among the other musicians expected to appear on Kelly Rowland’s upcoming LP are Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Terius “The-Dream” Nash, Diane Warren, Lonny Bereal, Traci Hale, and Andre Merritt.

Her last studio album, 2012’s “Talk a Good Game,” debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart. It also delivered two hit singles in the shape of “Kisses Down Low” and the Wiz Khalifa-assisted “Gone.”

Ella Henderson has announced the title of her new single.

The British singer/songwriter christened “Ghost” as the lead single from her upcoming debut album with Sony Music Entertainment / Syco Music.

The track was written by Ella Henderson along with Ryan “Alias” Tedder and Noel Zancanella, who are also responsible for “Glassheart” by Leona Lewis [Syco Music] and “Burn” by Ellie Goulding [Polydor Records].

Other tracks that are expected to appear on the still-untitled LP are “Billie Holiday,” “Giants,” “Rockets,” “Five Tattoos” and “The First Time.”

Among the musicians backing Henderson on the highly-anticipated collection are Richard Stannard, Diane Warren, Salaam Remi, Babyface, Steve Robson, Claude Kelly, Al Shux, Emeli Sande, Toby Gad, and Francis “Eg” White.

Jojo has hinted at a new collaboration with Diane Warren.

The singer/songwriter – born Joanna Levesque – is expected to release her third studio album later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

Legendary hitmaker Diane Warren previously penned hits performed by Celine Dion (“Because You Loved Me”), Mariah Carey (“After Tonight”), Toni Braxton (“I’m Still Breathing”) and Britney Spears (“When Your Eyes Say It”).

She also contributed to the next albums by Adele [XL Recordings], Paloma Faith [RCA Records], Kelly Rowland [Republic Records], Ella Henderson [Syco Music] and Nikki Williams [Island Def Jam Recordings].

Meanwhile, the new collection by Jojo serves as the follow-up to 2006’s “The High Road.” That collection peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and delivered hit single “Too Little, Too Late.”

The songwriting duo – consisting of siblings Theron & Timothy Thomas – are known for collaborating with Kelly Rowland [Republic Records], Miley Cyrus [RCA Records] and Rihanna [Island Def Jam Recordings].

Some of their recent credits include “Passenger” by Candice Glover [Interscope Records], “All on Your Body” by Jean Sean f/ Ace Hood [Republic Records] and “Opposites Attract” by Curtis Fields [Epic Records].

They also confirmed placements on the next albums by Usher [RCA Records], Kat Dahlia [Epic Records], Lauriana Mae [Atlantic Records], Keri Hilson [Interscope Records] and G.R.L. [Kemosabe Records].

Kandace Springs has released a new performance video online.

The singer/songwriter posted her rendition of “Say Something” by a Great Big World to her official YouTube page on Tuesday (February 18, 2014).

Her upcoming debut album is scheduled to hit shelves later this year via Universal Music Group / SRP / Blue Note / Capitol Records.

Lead single “Love Got in the Way” was written by Kandace Springs along with Evan Rogers, Carl Sturken, and Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge.

The still-untitled collection is expected to be released later this year via Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

Gad is known for collaborating with artists including Beyonce [Columbia Records], Alicia Keys [RCA Records], Robin Thicke [Interscope Records], Leona Lewis [Syco Music], and Kelly Rowland [Republic Records].

Some of his recent credits include “All of Me” by John Legend [Columbia Records], “Nobody Does It Like You” by Selena Gomez [Hollywood Records] and “Wonderful World” by Rebecca Ferguson [Syco Music].

In addition to Gad, the “Tumbling Down” singer also teamed up with Diane Warren (Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston), Autumn Rowe (Cher Lloyd, Alexandra Burke) and Shama “Sak Pase” Joseph (Rihanna, Kanye West).
