K. Michelle reunites with Sevyn Streeter for third album

K. Michelle has reunited with Sevyn Streeter for her upcoming third album.

The pair previously teamed up on a song entitled “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” which did not make the final cut of K. Michelle’s second album.

Streeter’s songwriting resume includes other works with Ariana Grande (“The Way”), Tamar Braxton (“Pieces”), Chris Brown (“Fine China”), Kelly Rowland (“Put Your Name on It”) and Jessie J (“Keep Us Together”).

Furthermore, her second mini-collection “Shoulda Been There – Part 1” – featuring the Hit-Boy-assisted “Boomerang” and Da Internz-produced “Love in Competition” – is out now via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

Meanwhile, K. Michelle is slated to release her next LP and follow-up to 2014’s “Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart?” later this year through Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled project will boast further alliances with Harmony Samuels (Ciara, Fifth Harmony), Diane Warren (Leona Lewis, Rita Ora), Warren “Oak” Felder (Miguel, Alessia Cara) and Andrew “Pop” Wansel (Usher, Alicia Keys).

Fleur East enslists Babyface, Rodney Jerkins for debut album

British singer/songwriter Fleur East has added Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Rodney Jerkins to the list of musicians for her upcoming debut album.

Recent credits by Babyface include Jordin Sparks’ “They Don’t Give” [Louder Than Life], Colbie Caillat’s “Try” [Republic], Tamar Braxton’s “Where it Hurts” [Epic] and Ella Henderson’s “The First Time” [Syco Music].

Meanwhile, Jerkins is responsible for helming Mary J. Blige’s “Doubt” [Capitol], Avery Wilson’s “If I Have to” [Epic], Mariah Carey’s “You’re Mine (Eternal)” [Def Jam] and Melissa Steel’s “You Love Me?” [Atlantic].

As mentioned in earlier posts, East is scheduled to release her first studio collection later this year through Simon Cowell’s Sony imprint Syco Music.

The still-untitled project delivers further contributions from Fraser T. Smith (Sam Smith, Nelly Furtado), Diane Warren (Ciara, Leona Lewis), Future Cut (Rita Ora, Melanie Fiona) and Ina Wroldsen (Calvin Harris, Britney Spears).

Diane Warren hints at new collaboration with Mariah Carey

Diane Warren has hinted at a new collaboration with Mariah Carey.

“This song is crazy!! So great to work and hang with you again @MariahCarey! We forgot to take a fucking picture though! See you soon!,” the legendary songwriter posted to Twitter on Tuesday (August 11, 2015).

Warren previously co-wrote “After Tonight” for Carey along with the song’s producer David Foster. The track appears on Carey’s seventh album, “Rainbow,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Columbia Records.

Furthermore, Warren has contributed to the next projects by Bebe Rexha [Warner Bros], Zendaya [Hollywood], Lea Michele [Columbia], Fleur East [Syco], Karen Harding [Capitol], Leona Lewis [Island] and K. Michelle [Atlantic].

Carey, on the other hand, is currently working on new material for her upcoming fifteenth studio collection and second release under Epic Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “Me. I Am Mariah … The Elusive Chanteuse,” which peaked to number three on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles “#Beautiful” and “You’re Mine (Eternal).”

Singer/songwriter K. Michelle has tapped the production services of British hitmaker Harmony Samuels for her upcoming third album.

Samuels’ resume includes works for Ciara (“I Bet”), Tamar Braxton (“Let Me Know”), Teyana Taylor (“Put Your Love On”), Fantasia Barrino (“Lose to Win”), Jennifer Hudson (“Think Like a Man”) and Ariana Grande (“The Way”).

He also confirmed placements on the next projects by Pia Mia [Interscope Records], Jojo [Atlantic Records], Gabi Wilson [RCA Records], LeToya Luckett [Entertainment One Music] and Melissa Steel [Atlantic Records].

Meanwhile, K. Michelle is scheduled to release her next studio collection later this year through Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled CD will deliver further alliances with Diane Warren (Zendaya, Prince Royce), Warren “Oak” Felder (Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson), Ester Dean (Katy Perry, Florence Welch) and Andrew “Pop” Wansel (Miguel, Alessia Cara).

“@Diane_Warren made me do it!!! Ha ha@@ She’s the baddest chick ever!!! And @BlakSmoke is sick!,” the British singer/songwriter tweeted.

Warren and Burrell are collectively responsible for writing and producing Paloma Faith’s “Only Love Can Hurt Like This” [RCA Records] and Nicole Scherzinger’s “Trust Me I Lie” [Interscope Records].

Furthermore, Warren has contributed to the next projects by Zendaya [Hollywood], Lea Michele [Columbia], Karen Harding [Capitol], Leona Lewis [Island], Grace [RCA], K. Michelle [Atlantic] and Adele [XL Recordings].

Meanwhile, East is scheduled to release her first studio collection later this year through Sony Music Entertainment and Simon Cowell’s label Syco Music.

Singer/songwriter K. Michelle has reunited with Warren “Oak” Felder and Andrew “Pop” Wansel for her upcoming album.

Felder and Wansel previously teamed up with K. Michelle on “Going Under” and the Priscilla Renea-assisted hit single “V.S.O.P.”

The production and songwriting duo are also responsible for Alicia Keys’ “Fire We Make” [RCA], Rihanna’s “Numb” [SRP], Tamia’s “Sandwich and a Soda” [Def Jam] and Ariana Grande’s “Break Your Heart Right Back” [Republic].

Meanwhile, K. Michelle is expected to release her third studio collection later this year through Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled project will feature additional alliances with Diane Warren (Beyonce, Celine Dion), Ester Dean (Ciara, Kelly Rowland), Rico Love (Usher, Melanie Fiona) and Timbaland (Keri Hilson, Nelly Furtado).

The British singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Thunder” to her Vevo channel on Thursday (July 16, 2015).

“Thunder” was co-written and produced by Toby Gad, whose other credits include Demi Lovato (“Skyscraper”), Selena Gomez (“Nobody Does it Like You”), Fergie (“Big Girls Don’t Cry”) and Beyonce (“If I Were a Boy”).

Lewis’ fifth studio collection “I Am” – featuring lead single “Fire Under My Feet” – will hit stores and digital outlets on September 11 through Island Records (UK) and Def Jam Recordings (US).
