Jennifer Lopez premieres ‘Same Girl’ music video

Jennifer Lopez has premiered the music video for her new single online.

“Same Girl” is lifted from the artist’s upcoming as-yet-untitled album, which serves as the follow-up to 2010’s “Love?” [Island Def Jam Recordings].

The new collection – executively produced by RedOne – is scheduled for release later this year via Universal Music Group / 2101 Records / Capitol Records.

“Same Girl” was written by Chris Brown in collaboration with Cory Rooney. Meanwhile, production duties were handled by Antwan “Amadeus” Thompson, Charles Stephens and Ryan Matthew Tedder.

Other hitmakers backing Lopez on the new album are DJ Mustard (Rihanna, Trey Songz), Warren Felder (Azealia Banks, Nicki Minaj), Andrew Wansel (Diggy Simmons, Wynter Gordon) and Da Internz (Usher, Tamar Braxton).

On the songwriting front, the “Girls” star has teamed up with Sia (Ne-Yo, Alexis Jordan), Makeba Riddick (Brandy, Jessica Simpson), Ursula Yancy (Estelle, Mindless Behavior) and Eric Bellinger (Sevyn Streeter, Fantasia Barrino).

Shakira, Rihanna unleash ‘Can’t Remember to Forget You’ music video

Shakira has unleashed the music video for her new single online.

“Can’t Remember to Forget You” – which features Rihanna – marks the first promotional single from the Columbian singer/songwriter’s upcoming album, “Shakira,” out on March 25 via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The track – now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets – was written by Shakira and Rihanna along with Erik Hassle, Alexander Asplund, John Hill, and Tom “Kid Harpoon” Hull.

Video treatment was handled by Joseph Kahn, whose previous credits include Britney Spears’ “Perfume” [RCA Records], Ciara’s “Got Me Good” [Epic Records] and Mariah Carey’s “#Beautiful” [Island Def Jam Recordings].

Shakira’s self-titled LP is confirmed to boast further contributions from Sia (Beyonce, Kylie Minogue), Ina Wroldsen (Leona Lewis, Delta Goodrem), Ne-Yo (Brandy, Celine Dion) and Steve Mac (Alexandra Burke, Kelly Clarkson).

Rita Ora confirms new single ‘I Will Never Let You Down’

Rita Ora has confirmed the title for her new single.

The British singer/songwriter christened “I Will Never Let You Down” as the lead single from her upcoming sophomore album.

The still-untitled project – which serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “ORA,” is expected to be released later this year via Roc Nation / Columbia Records.

“Let You Down” was produced by Calvin Harris, whose credits include “We Found Love” by Rihanna [Island Records], “Too Much” by Kylie Minogue [Parlophone Records] and “Call My Name” by Cheryl Cole [Polydor Records].

For the highly-anticipated new LP, the “Shine Ya Light” star also enlisted David “Switch” Taylor (Beyonce, Alex Clare ), Priscilla Renea Hamilton (Melanie Fiona, Demi Lovato) and Thomas “Diplo” Pentz (Usher, Katy Perry).

MNEK covers ‘Ready for Your Love’ by Gorgon City

MNEK has released a new performance video online.

The British singer/songwriter – born Uzoechi Emenike – posted a stripped down cover of Gorgon City’s new single, “Ready for Your Love,” to his official Vevo page on Thursday (January 30, 2014).

The “Need U (100%)” star is currently working on his debut album, which will be released later this year via Universal Music Group / Virgin EMI Records.

He recently produced the track “Feels So Good,” taken from Kylie Minogue’s upcoming album, “Kiss Me Once,” out on March 17 via Parlophone Records.

Some of his other credits include “Nothing Feels Like You” by Little Mix [Syco Music], “Home Run” by Misha B [Relentless Records], ‘Love Song” by Javeon [PMR Records] and “All Fired Up” by The Saturdays [Polydor Records].

Rihanna reunites with Naughty Boy for new album?

Naughty Boy recently hinted at a new collaboration with Rihanna.

The pair previously teamed up on “Half of Me,” taken from the Barbadian beauty’s seventh album, “Unapologetic,” out now via Island Records.

The track was written by Naughty Boy – born Shahid Khan – along with Emeli Sande and Stargate’s Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Storleer Eriksen.

His debut album, “Hotel Cabana,” features guest appearances from Gabrielle (“Hollywood”), Ed Sheeran (“Top Floor”), Sam Smith (“La La La”), Chasing Grace (“So Strong”) and Bastille (“No One’s Here to Sleep”).

Fans of Naughty Boy’s production work should keep an eye on the next LPs by Mikky Ekko [RCA Records], Kat Dahlia [Epic Records], Tanika Bailey [Virgin Records], Lily Allen [Parlophone Records] and Ella Henderson [Syco Music].

Meanwhile, the new collection by Rihanna is expected to yield further productions from Rodney Jerkins (Leona Lewis, Janet Jackson), Nicky Romero (David Guetta, Calvin Harris) and DJ Mustard (Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez).

Aston Merrygold hits the studio with Kevin McCall

Aston Merrygold has recently recorded new material with Kevin McCall.

It is yet to be known whether the above mentioned material will appear on the former JLS member’s upcoming debut solo album.

McCall has previously penned and produced songs for Brandy [RCA Records], Kelly Rowland [Republic Records], Jasmine Villegas [Interscope Records], Keyshia Cole [Geffen Records] and Christina Milian [Young Money Records].

Some of his notable credits include “No Bullshit” by Chris Brown [RCA Records], “Special Delivery” by Bridget Kelly [Roc Nation], “My Girl” by Mindless Behavior [Interscope Records] and “Lighthouse” by Joe Jonas [Hollywood Records].

Meanwhile, JLS have released their last studio album “Evolution” in 2012 via RCA Records. That collection debuted at number three on the UK Albums Chart and delivered hit singles “Hottest Girl in the World” and “Hold Me Down.”

Their compilation album, “Goodbye – The Greatest,” is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets. The set features “Billion Lights,” written by Ali Tennant along with Camille Purcell and Sandy Wilhelm.

William Orbit releases new remix for ‘Some Girls’ by Madonna

William Orbit has released a new song online.

The hitmaker posted a previously-unheard remix for “Some Girls” by Madonna to his official SoundCloud page on Wednesday (January 29, 2013).

The track is lifted from the artist’s twelfth studio album, “MDNA,” out now via Universal Music Group / Live Nation / Interscope Records.

Orbit co-wrote “Some Girls” with Klas Ahlund, whose credits include “This is How We Do” by Katy Perry [Capitol Records], “Sweetie” by Carly Rae Jepsen [Interscope Records] and “Shy Boy” by Jordin Sparks [RCA Records].

“MDNA” boasts further songwriting contributions from Jean Baptiste Kouame (Tulisa Contostavlos, Wynter Gordon), Priscilla Renea Hamilton (Chris Brown, The Saturdays) and Keith Harris (Estelle Swaray, Mariah Carey).

Orbit recently produced “Alien” on Britney Spears’ latest album, “Britney Jean,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records. He wrote the track with Ana Diaz, Antony Preston, and Daniel “HyGrade” Traynor.

He also worked on the highly-anticipated third LP by British singer/songwriter Adele, which is expected to release later this year via XL Recordings.
