30 Jan

Naughty Boy recently hinted at a new collaboration with Rihanna.

The pair previously teamed up on “Half of Me,” taken from the Barbadian beauty’s seventh album, “Unapologetic,” out now via Island Records.

The track was written by Naughty Boy – born Shahid Khan – along with Emeli Sande and Stargate’s Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Storleer Eriksen.

His debut album, “Hotel Cabana,” features guest appearances from Gabrielle (“Hollywood”), Ed Sheeran (“Top Floor”), Sam Smith (“La La La”), Chasing Grace (“So Strong”) and Bastille (“No One’s Here to Sleep”).

Fans of Naughty Boy’s production work should keep an eye on the next LPs by Mikky Ekko [RCA Records], Kat Dahlia [Epic Records], Tanika Bailey [Virgin Records], Lily Allen [Parlophone Records] and Ella Henderson [Syco Music].

Meanwhile, the new collection by Rihanna is expected to yield further productions from Rodney Jerkins (Leona Lewis, Janet Jackson), Nicky Romero (David Guetta, Calvin Harris) and DJ Mustard (Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez).

Her last album, 2012’s “Unapologetic,” debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart. It also included the Sia Furler-penned “Diamonds” and the Parker Ighile-produced “What Now.”
