Lianne La Havas taps Stephen “DiGenius” McGregor for new album

British singer/songwriter Lianne La Havas has added DiGenius to the list of contributors for her upcoming sophomore album.

The hit songwriter and producer – born Stephen McGregor – is known for helming works for Ne-Yo [Compound Entertainment / Motown Records], Estelle [New London Records] and Tanika [Virgin EMI Records].

Some of his notable credits include “Don’t Leave Me” by Nelly Furtado [Interscope Records], “Dat U Like” by Sean Paul [Atlantic Records] and “Emotion” by Maverick Sabre [Mercury Records].

As previously reported, the new collection by Lianne La Havas is scheduled for release later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

It serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Is Your Love Big Enough?” which debuted at number four on the UK Albums Chart and produced hit singles including “No Room for Doubt,” “Forget,” “Lost & Found” and “Age.”

Lana Del Rey schedules release date for new album “Ultraviolence”

Lana Del Rey has scheduled the release date for her upcoming album.

The singer/songwriter – born Elizabeth Grant – will release “Ultraviolence” on June 2 via Universal Music Group / Interscope Records.

Lead single “Ultraviolence” was co-written by Rick Nowels, who also worked with the artist on “Summertime Sadness” and “Young and Beautiful.”

Some of his other credits include “I Follow Rivers” by Lykke Li [Atlantic Records], “Shooting Arrows” by Santigold [Republic Records], “No Freedom” by Dido [RCA Records] and “End of the World” by Nelly Furtado [Interscope Records].

“Ultraviolence” serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Born to Die,” which debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Joelle James teams up with Chris Brown for new song “Sweet Lemonade”

Joelle James has unveiled a new song online.

“Sweet Lemonade” is set to appear on the artist’s upcoming debut album.

The track was co-written by Chris Brown, whose scheduled to release his upcoming sixth studio album “X” later this year via RCA Records.

Some of his notable songwriting contributions are “Slower” (performed by Brandy), “See No More” (performed by Joe Jonas), “Drained” (performed by LeToya Luckett) and “Same Girl” (performed by Jennifer Lopez).

Meanwhile, the as-yet-untitled debut album by Joelle James is expected to be released later this year via CBE / Interscope Records.

She recently co-wrote “All the Way Home” for Tamar Braxton along with Sevyn Streeter, Michael Daley, Steven Russell, Harvey Mason Jr. and Damon Thomas.

Cher Lloyd debuts new song “Bind Your Love”

Cher Lloyd has debuted a new song online.

“Bind Your Love” is lifted from the British singer/songwriter’s upcoming sophomore album, “Sorry I’m Late,” out on May 27 via Epic Records.

The track was co-written by Karl “Shellback” Schuster and Ina Wroldsen, whose recent credits include Madison Beer’s “Melodies” [Island Records], Shakira’s “Empire” [RCA Records] and James Arthur’s “Recovery” [Syco Music].

Production duties were handled by Carl Falk and Rami Yacoub, who are also responsible for Demi Lovato’s “Really Don’t Care” [Hollywood Records] and One Direction’s “Kiss You” [Syco Music / Columbia Records].

“Sorry I’m Late” serves as the follow-up to 2011’s “Sticks and Stones,” which debuted at number four on the UK Albums Chart and delivered hit singles including “Swagger Jagger,” “With Your Love” and “Oath.”

Among the other musicians backing Lloyd on the new album are Benny Blanco (Rihanna, Katy Perry), Mike Posner (Labrinth, Emeli Sande), Jason Evigan (Zendaya, Fifth Harmony) and Savan Kotecha (Usher, Ariana Grande).

Justin Bieber drops new song “We Were Born for This”

Justin Bieber has dropped a new song online.

“We were Born for This” is expected to appear on the singer/songwriter’s upcoming as-yet-untitled fourth studio album with Island Records.

The track was co-written by Sam Hook, whose credits include Miley Cyrus’ “Drive” [RCA Records], Trey Songz’ “Na Na” [Atlantic Records] and August Alsina’s “Benediction” [Def Jam Recordings].

Production duties were handled by Eric Hudson, who is also responsible for K. Michelle’s “Damn” [Atlantic Records], Elle Varner’s “Rover” [RCA Records] and Omarion’s “Work” [Maybach Music Group / Warner Bros. Records].

The new album by Justin Bieber serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Believe,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

It will be executively produced by Scooter Braun, who is also overseeing the next projects by Ariana Grande [Republic Records], Carly Rae Jepsen [Interscope Records], Tori Kelly [Capitol Records] and Madison Beer [Island Records].

Laura Izibor hits the studio with Lucas Secon

Laura Izibor has collaborated with Lucas Secon on new material.

It is yet to be known whether this material will be included on the Irish singer/songwriter’s upcoming sophomore album.

Secon is known for collaborating with artists including Toni Braxton [Motown Records], Cody Simpson [Atlantic Records], Jordin Sparks [RCA Records], The Saturdays [Polydor Records] and Conor Maynard [Parlophone Records].

Some of his notable songwriting and production credits are “Get Outta My Way” by Kylie Minogue [Parlophone Records], “Cry Your Heart Out” by Olly Murs [Epic Records] and “Red Hot Kinda Love” by Christina Aguilera [RCA Records].

Laura Izibor released her debut album, 2009’s “Shine,” was released via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records. It featured hit singles “From My Heart to Yours,” “Shine,” “Don’t Stay” and “If Tonight is My Last.”

That collection – which features production from Christopher “Tricky” Stewart and Future Cut – debuted at number 27 on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Priyanka Chopra has unveiled the official lyric video for her new single online.

“I Can’t Make You Love Me” marks the third promotional single from the Bollywood star’s upcoming as-yet-untitled debut album.

The track – produced by Manual Reuter – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

As previously, the highly-anticipated debut LP by Priyanka Chopra is scheduled for release later this year via Universal Music Group / Interscope Records.

Album producers include RedOne (Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez), Zedd (Foxes, Skylar Grey), Timbaland (Brandy, Jennifer Hudson), Brian Kennedy (Chris Brown, Natasha Bedingfield) and Toby Gad (Craig David, John Legend).

On the songwriting front, the “Exotic” singer teamed up with Ester Dean (Ciara, Britney Spears), Bonnie McKee (Rita Ora, Katy Perry), Makeba Riddick (Tamar Braxton, Selena Gomez) and Livvi Franc (Shakira, Demi Lovato).
