Becky G premieres “Shower” music video

Becky G has premiered the music video for her new single online.

“Shower” marks the first promotional single from the singer/songwriter’s upcoming as-yet-untitled debut album.

The track was co-written by siblings Theron and Timothy Thomas of Planet VI, who are also responsible for Tessanne Chin’s “Everything Reminds Me of You” [Republic Records] and Candice Glover’s “Passenger” [Interscope Records].

Production duties were handled by Dr. Luke and Cirkut, whose extensive resume includes works for Miley Cyrus (“Wrecking Ball”), G.R.L. (“Ugly Heart”), Katy Perry (“Birthday”) and Britney Spears (“Brightest Morning Star”).

Becky G’s highly-anticipated debut album is expected to be released later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA / Kemosabe Records.

Chris Brown enlists Usher, Rick Ross for “New Flame”

Chris Brown has debuted his new single online.

“New Flame” – which features Usher and Rick Ross – marks the fourth promotional single from the artist’s sixth studio album, “X.”

The track was co-written by Verse Simmonds, who previously teamed up with Brown on hit singles “Don’t Think They Know” and “Love More.”

Production duties were handled by Count Justice, who also worked with the artists including Wiz Khalifa [Atlantic Records] and Rihanna [SRP Records].

As previously reported, “X” is scheduled for release later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

It serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Fortune,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and boasted singles “Don’t Judge Me,” “Turn Up the Music,” “Till I Die,” “Sweet Love” and “Don’t Wake Me Up.”

Among the musicians backing Brown on “X” are RoccStar (Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez), Diplo (Sia Furler, Pharrell Williams), B.A.M. (Kandace Springs, Marsha Ambrosius) and Darhyl “DJ” Camper (Mariah Carey, Elle Varner).

Paloma Faith has unveiled the music video for her new single online.

“Trouble with My Baby” marks the third promotional single from the British singer/songwriter’s latest album, “A Perfect Contradiction.”

The track was co-written by Andrea Martin, whose credits include Naughty Boy’s “Think About It” [Virgin EMI Records], Daley’s “Blame the World” [Republic Records] and Leona Lewis’ “When It Hurts” [Syco Music].

Production duties were handled by Steve Robson, who is also responsible for James Arthur’s “Is This Love” [Syco Music], Rebecca Ferguson’s “Bridges” [RCA Records] and Eliza Doolittle’s “Big When I Was Little” [Parlophone Records].

“A Perfect Contradiction” – which features the Pharrell Williams produced-“Can’t Rely on You” and Diane Warren-penned “Only Love Can Hurt Like This” – is now available for download via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

Ariana Grande confirms new album “My Everything”

My Everything

Ariana Grande has confirmed the title of her upcoming sophomore album.

The singer/songwriter christened her new collection “My Everything” and will release it on August 25 via Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

Lead single “Problem” – which features Iggy Azalea – is now available for download via iTunes an all other digital outlets. The track was written by Savan Kotecha along with Max Martin and Ilya “Knocdown” Salmanzadeh.

“My Everything” serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Yours Truly,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and delivered three hit singles in the shape of “The Way,” “Baby I” and “Right There.”

It will be executively produced by Scooter Braun, who is also overseeing the next releases by Madison Beer [Island Records], Tori Kelly [Capitol Records] and Carly Rae Jepsen [Interscope Records].

Among the musicians backing Grande on “My Everything” are Babyface (TLC, Mariah Carey), Ryan Tedder (Adele, Leona Lewis), Benny Blanco (Miguel, Jordin Sparks) and Rodney Jerkins (Ciara, Britney Spears).

Becky Hill has drafted Autumn Rowe and Toby Gad for her debut album.

Autumn Rowe is known for co-writing Kylie Minogue’s “Sexy Love” [Parlophone Records], The Saturdays’ “30 Days” [Polydor Records], Leona Lewis’ “Your Hallelujah” [Syco Music] and Little Mix’s “Red Planet” [Columbia Records].

Meanwhile, recent songwriting and production credits by Toby Gad include John Legend’s “All of Me” [Columbia Records], Rebecca Ferguson’s “Wonderful World” [Syco Music] and Foxes’ “Holding On to Heaven” [RCA Records].

As previously reported, Becky Hill is scheduled to release her highly-anticipated debut collection later this year via Warner Music Group / Parlophone Records.

The still-untitled LP will boast further contributions from TMS (Bridgit Mindler, Madison Beer), Iain James (Nicola Roberts, Cheryl Cole), David Hodges (Lea Michele, Christina Perri) and Two Inch Punch (Ella Eyre, Sam Smith).

Katharine McPhee has hinted at a new collaboration with Ina Wroldsen.

Wroldsen is known for co-writing Shakira’s “Empires” [RCA Records], Madison Beer’s “Melodies” [Island Records], Cher Lloyd’s “Bind Your Love” [Epic Records] and James Arthur’s “Recovery” [Syco Music].

The Norwegian singer/songwriter’s extensive resume also includes works for Leona Lewis [Island Records], The Saturdays [Polydor Records], Britney Spears [RCA Records] and Little Mix [Columbia Records].

Meanwhile, Katharine McPhee is expected to release her new album later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

The still-untitled collection is said to feature productions and songwriting contributions from Linda Perry (Pink, Alicia Keys), Fernando Garibay (Lea Michele, Natalia Kills) and The-Dream (Rihanna, Kelly Rowland).

Production duties were handled by Mac Robinson and Brian Warfield of The Fisticuffs, who are also responsible for Mariah Carey’s “Beautiful” [Def Jam Recordings] and Miguel’s “Quickie” [RCA Records].

As previously reported, “Souled Out” is scheduled for release later this year via Universal Music Group / Def Jam Recordings.

It serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Sail Out,” which debuted at number eight on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and boasted two hit singles in the shape of “Bed Peace” and “The Worst.”
