Jamie Foxx has recruited Elijah Blake for his upcoming fifth studio album.

The R&B singer and songwriter – born Sean Fenton – is known for co-writing Keyshia Cole’s “Rick James” [Interscope Records], Rihanna’s “No Love Allowed” [Def Jam Recordings] and Ciara’s “DUI” [Epic Records].

In addition, he’s currently putting the final touches on his debut LP, tentatively entitled “Songs About Melody.” The highly-anticipated project will be distributed via Universal Music Group / Def Jam Recordings.

Meanwhile, the new studio album by Jamie Foxx is expected to be released later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

It serves as the follow-up to 2010’s “Best Night of My Life,” which debuted at number six on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and delivered hit singles including “Winner” and the Drake-assisted “Fall for Your Type.”

Among the other hitmakers backing the “Unpredictable” star on the still-untitled project are Mike WiLL Made It (Brandy, Mariah Carey), Lonny Bereal (Chris Brown, Teyana Taylor), will.i.am (Usher, Nicole Scherzinger), Kevin Cossom (Mary J. Blige, Keri Hilson) and Kanye West (Beyonce, John Legend).
