Keri Hilson is making new music with Patrick “J. Que” Smith.

It is yet to be known whether last night’s session is intended for another artist or Hilson’s upcoming third studio album.

The pair previously teamed up on songs performed by Mary J. Blige (“Take Me As I Am”), Toni Braxton (“Supposed to Be”), Omarion (“Ice Box”), Timbaland (“The Way I Are”) and Jennifer Lopez (“Wrong When You’re Gone”).

Smith is also responsible for co-writing and / or producing “Baby I” by Ariana Grande [Republic Records], “Where It Hurts” by Tamar Braxton [Epic Records] and “Catching Feelings” by Justin Bieber [Def Jam Recordings].

Hilson’s next studio collection is thought to be released in early 2015 via Universal Music Group / Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts further collaborations with Ne-Yo (K. Michelle, Celine Dion), Tiffany Fred (Zendaya, Sevyn Streeter), Jim Jonsin (Beyonce, Kelly Rowland) and Benny Cassette (Elle Varner, Mary Lambert).

Her last studio offering, 2010’s “No Boys Allowed,” peaked at number eleven on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and delivered singles “The Way You Love Me,” “Lose Control,” “One Night Stand” and “Pretty Girl Rock.”

She also co-wrote the Mike WiLL Made It-produced “Passenger” for Candice Glover along with Theron and Royce Thomas of Rock City.
