Brandy recruits Kirby Lauryen for new album

8 Dec

Brandy has recruited Kirby Lauryen for her upcoming seventh album.

Lauryen recently co-wrote “Break Your Heart Right Back” for Ariana Grande. The track is lifted from the artist’s sophomore album, “My Everything,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Republic Records.

Other notable credits by Lauryen include Keyshia Cole’s “She” [Interscope Records] and Jennifer Lopez’s “Let it Be Me” [Capitol Records].

Meanwhile, Brandy is expected to release her forthcoming studio collection next year. The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Two Eleven,” which peaked at number three on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

MBK CEO Jeff Robinson will executive produce the highly-anticipated LP. He’s also overseeing the next releases by Elle Varner [RCA], Justine Skye [Atlantic], Daisha [Epic], Tiara Thomas [Interscope] and Gabi Wilson [RCA].

For the new album, Brandy has also teamed with songwriters and producers Swagg R’Celious, Diane Warren, Andrew “Pop” Wansel, Stacy Barthe, Ronald “Flip” Colson, Steve “Ace” Mostyn, and Warren “Oak” Felder.
