Sam Smith has hinted at a new collaboration with Rihanna.

“I’m personally very excited for Rihanna’s album. I know some stuff about that record that no-one knows” the British singer/songwriter stated in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Smith – real name Samuel Frederick Smith – recently co-wrote four songs on Mary J. Blige’s latest CD, “The London Sessions.” The songs in question are “Right Now,” “Nobody But You,” “Therapy” and “Not Loving You.”

His debut album “In the Lonely Hour” is now available for download via PMR Records and Capitol Records. The platinum-selling project includes singles “Money on My Mind,” “Stay with Me” and “I’m Not the Only One.”

Meanwhile, Rihanna’s next studio collection will be released later this year via Roc Nation in partnership with SRP Records.

The highly-anticipated project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Unapologetic,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Other songwriters previously linked to the new album, tentatively entitled “R8,” are Natalia Kills, Elijah Blake, Kiesza, James Fauntleroy, Emeli Sande, Charli XCX, Ne-Yo, Anjulie Persaud, Kelly Sheehan, and Ester Dean.

On the production front, Rihanna has reportedly teamed with Stargate, Naughty Boy, DJ Mustard, Alex Da Kid, Jeff Bhasker, Glass John, and Tiago Carvalho.
