Kandace Springs has recorded new material with Dan Wilson.

“Had an amazing day in the studio with Dan Wilson cutting a dope song, then rehearsed with the band for Kimmel tomorrow!!” the singer, songwriter and pianist tweeted on Wednesday (January 14, 2015).

Wilson is responsible for co-writing and / or producing Adele’s “Someone Like You” [XL Recordings], John Legend’s “You & I (Nobody in the World)” [Columbia Records] and Pink’s “The Great Escape” [RCA Records].

His extensive songwriting and production resume includes further works for Taylor Swift [Big Machine Records], James Blunt [Atlantic Records], Paloma Faith [RCA Records] and James Morrison [Island Records].

Meanwhile, Springs is expected to release her full-length debut album later this year via SRP Records and Blue Note Records.

New York-based songwriting and production duo Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken will serve as the executive producers for the still-untitled project.

Among the musicians backing Springs on the keenly-awaited album are Jack Splash (Solange, Alicia Keys), Stacy Barthe (Rihanna, K. Michelle), Andre Harris (Usher, Melanie Fiona) and Andrea Martin (LeToya Luckett, Ella Eyre).

Her self-titled EP is now available for download via iTunes (US). The mini-collection features singles “Love Got in the Way” and “West Coast,” as well as contributions from Steve Mostyn, Jessyca Wilson, and Brandon Hodge.
