Rita Ora recruits Jess Glynne for sophomore album

Jess Glynne has written songs for Rita Ora’s upcoming sophomore album.

The Grammy-winning singer/songwriter previously co-wrote M.O’s “For a Minute” [Operator Records] and provided guest vocals on Clean Bandit’s “Real Love” [Atlantic Records] and Route 94’s “My Love” [Virgin EMI Records].

Her current single “Hold My Hand” – which was co-written by Glynne along with Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and Ina Wroldsen and produced by Clean Bandit’s Jack Patterson and Starsmith – is now available for download via iTunes.

Meanwhile, Ora’s highly-anticipated sophomore album will hit stores and digital outlets later this year via Roc Nation and Columbia Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “ORA,” which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and spawned four singles in the shape of “R.I.P,” “How We Do (Party),” “Shine Ya Light” and “Radioactive.”

Other songwriters backing Ora on the new CD are Priscilla Renea (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato), Camille Purcell (Ella Henderson, Leona Lewis) and Victoria Monet (Ariana Grande, Fifth Harmony).

Ella Eyre confirms new single “Together”

Ella Eyre has confirmed the title for her new single.

The British singer/songwriter dubbed “Together” as the next promotional cut from her upcoming debut album, “Feline,” out soon via Virgin EMI Records.

“Together” serves as the follow-up to previous single “Comeback,” which was written by Eyre along with the song’s producers Alexander Kronlund, Oscar Goerres and Ilya “KnocDown” Salmanzadeh.

Other musicians backing Eyre on “Feline” are Chris Loco (Emeli Sande, Kylie Minogue), Greg Wells (Katy Perry, Colbie Caillat), Jarrad Rogers (Charli XCX, Rita Ora) and Two Inch Punch (Ed Sheeran, Jessie Ware).

On the songwriting front, Eyre and Wayne  Hector co-wrote “Changing” for drum & bass duo Sigma along with Peter Kelleher, Benjamin Kohn and Thomas Barnes of TMS. The Paloma Faith-assisted track topped the UK Singles Chart.

She also provided guest vocals on the DJ Fresh’s latest single “Gravity.” The track – which was co-written by Jon Shave, George Astasio and Jason Pebworth of The Invisible Men – debuted at number four on the UK Singles Chart.

Tourist teams with Josef Salvat, Niia Rocco for new single “Holding On”

Tourist has debuted his new single online.

The Grammy-winning record producer and songwriter posted the audio clip for “Holding On” to his SoundCloud page on Thursday (March 26, 2015).

“Holding On” – featuring vocals from Josef Salvat and Niia – will be available for download from May 24 via iTunes (UK) and all other digital outlets.

The track marks the second promotional cut from Tourist’s upcoming debut album under Tourist Recordings and Polydor Records.

On the songwriting and production front, Tourist – real name William Phillips – previously co-wrote and / or produced Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” [Capitol Records] and Jessie Ware’s “Pieces” [Island Records].

He also contributed to the as-yet-untitled first studio collection by G.O.O.D. Music signee Kacy Hill, which is expected to be released later this year.

Hilary Duff announces new single “Sparks”

Hilary Duff has announced the details for her new single.

The singer/songwriter christened “Sparks” as the third promotional cut from her upcoming studio album under Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

“Sparks” – available for download from April 10 via iTunes – was co-written by Peter Thomas along with Tove Lo, whose other credits include Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” and Lea Michele’s “1000 Needles.”

Production duties on “Sparks” were handled by Christian “Bloodshy” Karlsson, who is also responsible for Katy Perry’s “Love Me” [Capitol], Britney Spears’ “Toxic” [Jive] and Madonna’s “Like It or Not” [Warner Bros.].

Duff’s fifth studio collection – featuring previous promotional cuts “Chasing the Sun” and “All About You” – serves as the follow-up to 2007’s “Dignity,” which peaked to number three on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

The still-untitled project spawns further collaborations with Toby Gad (Beyonce, Carly Rae Jepsen), Ed Sheeran (Taylor Swift, Jessie Ware), Savan Kotecha (Tori Kelly, Ariana Grande) and Carl Falk (Labrinth, Nicki Minaj).

Rihanna confirms new single “B*tch Better Have My Money”

Rihanna has confirmed the details for her new single.

The singer/songwriter christened “Bitch Better Have My Money” as the second promotional cut from her upcoming eighth album, tentatively entitled “R8.”

Production duties on “My Money” were handled by Roc Nation signee Deputy, who also worked with A-list writers and artists such as Wale, J Cole, NeYo, Rick Ross, French Montana, Flo Rida, The Dream, Sean Garrett to list a few.

Previous single, the Kanye West and Paul McCartney-assisted “FourFiveSeconds,” is now available for download via iTunes.

“R8” serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Unapologetic,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned hit singles including “Diamonds,” “Stay (featuring Mikky Ekko)” and “Pour it Up.”

Other producers backing Rihanna on “R8” are Stargate (Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez), Alex Da Kid (Nicki Minaj, Skylar Grey), DJ Mustard (Omarion, Keyshia Cole) and Naughty Boy (Emeli Sande, Leona Lewis).

Lion Babe unleash “Wonder Woman” music video

Lion Babe have unleashed the music video for their new single online.

The experimental duo – consisting of members Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman – posted the visual clip for “Wonder Woman” to their official Vevo channel on Wednesday (March 25, 2015).

“Wonder Woman” was produced by Pharrell Williams, whose recent credits include Usher’s “She Came to Give it to You” f/ Nicki Minaj [RCA] and Kylie Minogue’s “I Was Gonna Cancel” [Parlophone].

The track marks the first promotional cut from Lion Babe’s debut album, which is expected to be released later this year via Outsiders Recorded Music Limited in partnership with Polydor Records (UK) and Interscope Records (US).

The still-untitled CD features further alliances with Amanda Ghost (Beyonce, Jordin Sparks), Jeff Bhasker (Drake, Ed Sheeran), Makeba Riddick (Brandy, Toni Braxton) and Joel Compass (Cheryl, FKA twigs).

Jason Derulo drafts K. Michelle, Guordan Banks for new album

Singer/songwriter Jason Derulo has drafted K. Michelle and Guordan Banks for his upcoming fourth studio collection.

Guordan is known for co-writing John Legend’s “Who Do We Think We Are” [Columbia Records] and Keyshia Cole’s “Trust and Believe” [Geffen Records].

Furthermore, he co-wrote K. Michelle’s hit single “Maybe I Should Call” along with Bianca Atterberry. The Eric Hudson and Andrew Clifton-produced track appears on K. Michelle’s latest album, “Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart.”

Meanwhile, Derulo’s current single “Want to Want Me” – which was produced by Ian Kirkpatrick and co-written by Lindy Robbins, Sam Martin and Mitch Allan – is now available for download via iTunes.

His next studio collection under Warner Bros. Records will be released later this year. The keenly-awaited project serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “Talk Dirty,” which peaked to number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Other songwriters backing Derulo on the new album are Taylor Parks (Elle Varner, Tori Kelly), Ross Golan (Colbie Caillat, Prince Royce), Sean Douglas (Madonna, David Guetta) and Talay Riley (Usher, Keri Hilson).
