Rita Ora has drafted the songwriting services of Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter of Semi-Precious Weapons for her upcoming sophomore album.

Michaels and Tranter previously co-wrote “Run” for Nicole Scherzinger. The track appears on the artist’s latest album, “Big Fat Lie,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with RCA Records.

Other notable songwriting credits by Michaels include Selena Gomez’s “Slow Down” [Hollywood Records], Kat Graham’s “Power” [A&M / Octone Records] and Demi Lovato’s “Firestarter” [Hollywood Records].

Meanwhile, Tranter recently co-wrote “Like Mariah” by Fifth Harmony [Syco Music / Epic Records] and “Nostalgic” by Kelly Clarkson [RCA Records].

As mentioned in earlier posts, Ora’s next studio collection will be released later this year via Roc Nation and Columbia Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “ORA,” which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and spawned hit singles “R.I.P. (featuring Tinie Tempah),” “How We Do (Party)” and “Shine Ya Light.”

Other songwriters backing the Ora on the new project are Priscilla Renea (Rihanna, K. Michelle), Victoria Monet (Ariana Grande, Jhene Aiko), Camille Purcell (Jessie J, Ella Henderson) and Jess Glynne (Little Mix, Clean Bandit).
