Grammy-winning singer/songwriter John Legend has recorded new material with hit music producers Alex Da Kid and James “Malay” Ho.

It is yet to be known whether these sessions are intended for Legend’s upcoming fifth studio album or a different project for another artist.

Recent production credits by Alex Da Kid include Rihanna’s “American Oxygen” [Roc Nation], Nicki Minaj’s “Bed of Lies” f/ Skylar Grey [Republic Records] and Imagine Dragons’ “I Bet My Life” [KIDinaKORNER / Interscope Records].

Meanwhile, James “Malay” Ho previously co-wrote and produced hit singles “You & I (Nobody in the World)” and “Green Light” for John Legend.

His other credits include “Lost” by Frank Ocean [Def Jam Recordings], “One Thing” by Alicia Keys [RCA Records], “The Thrill is Gone” by Fantasia [J Records] and “Undertow” by Goapele [Skyblaze Recordings].

Legend’s last album, “Love in the Future,” was released in August 2013 via Columbia Records. The collection peaked to number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned international hit single “All of Me.”

Furthermore, Legend serves as the executive-producer for Stacy Barthe’s upcoming debut album “BEcoming,” which will be released later this year via Homeschool Records in partnership with Motown Records.
