John Legend has enlisted Joel Compass for his upcoming album.

“So blessed! Had the pleasure of producing/writing with the coolest guy doing it right now @JohnLegend,” Compass posted to his Twitter account.

On the songwriting and production front, Compass is known for his work with FKA twigs (“Time”), Laura Welsh (“Soft Control”), Lion Babe (“Impossible”), M.O (“Preach”), Seal (“Monascow”) and Tinashe (“Fire and Flames”).

As a singer, his promotional cuts “Run,” “Forgive Me” and “Girlfriends” are now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Polydor Records and Amanda Ghost’s Outsiders Recorded Music Limited.

Meanwhile, Legend is scheduled to release his fifth studio collection and follow-up to 2013’s “Love in the Future” next year through Columbia Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts additional alliances with Malay (Frank Ocean), Alex Da Kid (Rihanna), RoccStar (CeeLo Green), Sean Garrett (Jamie Foxx) and Sam Romans (Mary J. Blige).
