Jennifer Hudson has signed a new deal with Epic Records and her fourth album is expected to be released later this year.

Epic Records – which is an imprint of Sony Music Entertainment – also houses artists including Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Meghan Trainor, Fifth Harmony, Tamar Braxton, Zara Larsson, and Sara Bareilles.

Hudson’s last studio collection, 2014’s “JHUD,” debuted at number ten on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel),” “Walk it Out,” “I Still Love You” and “It’s Your World.”

For the new album, Hudson has teamed up with music moguls L.A. Reid and Clive Davis to serve as executive producers.

The duo previously collaborated on Whitney Houston’s 1992 soundtrack to “The Bodyguard,” which sold over 45 million copies worldwide. The record-smashing collection – which featured further contributions from Lisa Stansfield and Kenny G – is also the best-selling soundtrack of all time.
