Sam Smith has recorded new music with James “Malay” Ho.

The hit songwriter and record producer is known for his works with John Legend (“Green Light”), Frank Ocean (“Lost”), Goapele (“Undertow”), Alicia Keys (“One Thing”), and Stacy Barthe (“War IV Love”).

His recent credits include Thirdstory’s “G Train” [Verve], Alessia Cara’s “Wild Things” [Def Jam], Zayn Malik’s “It’s You” [RCA], Raury’s “Trap Tears” [Columbia], and Tori Kelly’s “Talk” [Capitol].

Meanwhile, Smith is currently recording new music for his upcoming sophomore album under Method Records and Capitol Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts productions and songwriting contributions from Jimmy Napes (Madonna, Ellie Goulding), Levi Lennox (Miguel, Becky Hill), and Mark Taylor (Enrique Iglesias, Kylie Minogue).

Smith’s first studio collection, 2014’s “In the Lonely Hour,” debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Stay With Me” and “I’m Not the Only One.”
