[Musicians’ Galore] Arnthor Birgisson

Arnthor Birgisson is an Icelandic/Swedish songwriter and producer.

He is known for his works with Selena Gomez (“Write Your Name”), Leona Lewis (“My Hands”), Shontelle (“Impossible”), Vanessa Hudgens (“Say OK”), Enrique Iglesias (“Wish I Was Your Lover”), Shayne Ward (“No U Hang Up”), Paula DeAnda (“Roll the Credits”), and Danity Kane (“Stay with Me”).

Along with fellow musician Anders Bagge, Birgisson has helmed international hit singles for Janet Jackson (“All Nite”), Samantha Mumba (“Gotta Tell You”), Jessica Simpson (“Irresistible”), Honeyz (“Won’t Take it Lying Down”), and Jennifer Lopez (“Love Don’t Cost a Thing”).

Other artists Birgisson has collaborated with are Carlos Santana, Britney Spears, Delta Goodrem, Bebe Rexha, Christina Milian, Tina Arena, Nadine Coyle, Celine Dion, Tiaan Williams, Rachel “Raye” Keen, Nikki Williams, Ronan Keating, Agnes Carlsson, Kim Cesarion, and Tove Styrke.

On the production front, Birgisson co-helmed songs with Max Martin, Rami Yacoub, Christian “Bloodshy” Karlsson, Andreas “Quiz” Romdhane, Joel Pott, Mughal “ISHI” Eshraque, Gary Clark, Andrew Frampton, Sandy Vee, Paul Herman, Gary Go, Achraf “AJ Junior” Janussi, and Gordon Chambers.

On the songwriting front, Birgisson co-penned songs with Cathy Dennis, Makeba Riddick, Karen Poole, Shelly Poole, Lindy Robbins, Kara DioGuardi, Pam Sheyne, Angela Hunte, Michelle Bell, Ina Wroldsen, Erika Nuri, Julie Frost, Maegan Cottone, Ana Diaz, Negin Djafari, Savan Kotecha, Wayne Hector, Sean Garrett, Iain James, Ali Tennant, Bilal Hajji, and Sean Douglas.
