British singer-songwriter DAKOTA – real name Sophie Elton – has recorded new music with Maegan Cottone and Luke Fitton.

Cottone’s songwriting resume boasts credits with Ferras (“Closer”), Britney Spears (“Pretty Girls”), Olly Murs (“Up”), Fleur East (“Know Your Name”) and Medina (“Good Enough”).

Meanwhile, Fitton previously co-penned songs for The Saturdays (“What Are You Waiting For?), Girls Aloud (“Every Now and Then), Little Mix (“Pretend It’s Okay”) and Rebecca Ferguson (“Mr. Bright Eyes”).

DAKOTA, on the other hand, is scheduled to release her first studio collection in 2017 via 70Hz Recordings and Virgin EMI Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers further songwriting contributions from Nina Nesbitt, Becky Hill, Ed Drewett, Laura Dockrill, Jamie Scott, Amy Wadge, Maiday, Chiara Hunter, Samuel Preston, and Karen Poole.

Current single “Long Hot Summer” – which was co-written by DAKOTA alongside Tim Woodcock – is now available for download via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.
