Billy Steinberg is an American songwriter and record producer.

Along with songwriting partner Tom Kelly, he co-wrote international hit singles performed by Madonna (“Like a Virgin”), Cyndi Lauper (“True Colors”), The Bangles (“Eternal Flame”) and Whitney Houston (“So Emotional”).

Steinberg also helmed singles with fellow musician Rick Nowels, including Celine Dion’s “Falling into You” (1996), Ace of Base’s “Everytime it Rains” (1999), Amber’s “Sexual” (1999) and Melanie C’s “I Turn to You” (2000).

In 2006, he co-wrote and co-produced Jojo’s “Too Little, Too Late” alongside Josh Alexander. The track – originally intended for the Pussycat Dolls – peaked to number 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

With Alexander, Steinberg continued to write songs for Leona Lewis (“Perfection”), Katharine McPhee (“Over It”), Demi Lovato (“Give Your Heart a Break”), Selena Gomez (“That’s More Like It”), Paris Hilton (“Heartbeat”), Nicole Scherzinger (“Don’t Hold Your Breath”) and Fefe Dobson (“The Initiator”).
