Shania Twain has teamed up with singer, songwriter, and record producer Matthew Koma for her upcoming fourth album.
In a recent interview with Billboard magazine, Koma stated “This is one of the first times I got to work with somebody who was re-addressing what their message was after having had such a huge, impactful career. She (Twain) wasn’t following rules that she previously has followed.”
His current single “Kisses Back” – which was co-written by Joshua Steele and co-produced by Flux Pavilion – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.
On the songwriting front, Koma’s resume boasts works with Kelly Clarkson (“Someone”), Carly Rae Jepsen (“This Kiss”), Hilary Duff (“Arms Around a Memory”), Giorgio Moroder (“Tempted”) and Zedd (“Clarity”).
Meanwhile, Twain is expected to release her next studio collection – featuring further contributions from Jake Gosling and Chris Leonard – in 2017 via Universal Music Group / Capitol Records Nashville.
The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up 2002’s “Up!,” which topped the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “I’m Gonna Getcha Good,” “Forever and Always” and “When You Kiss Me.”
