K. Michelle has teamed with Rodney Jerkins for a new collaboration.

“Thank you Rodney Jerkins for creating such an amazing piece. It’s crazy how one song can tell the story of so many tears,” the singer-songwriter posted to Instagram on Sunday (January 22, 2017).

Jerkins’ credits include Toni Braxton’s “He Wasn’t Man Enough,” Whitney Houston’s “It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay,” Michael Jackson’s “You Rock My World,” Jennifer Lopez’s “If You Had My Love,” Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name,” Lady GaGa’s “Telephone,” and Mariah Carey’s “You’re Mine (Eternal).”

The Grammy award-winning record producer and songwriter’s resume boasts further works with Brandy (“What About Us?”), Monica (“All Eyez on Me”), Aaliyah (“Everything’s Gonna Be Alright”), Mary J. Blige (“Doubt”), Janet Jackson (“Make Me”) and Keyshia Cole (“Shoulda Let You Go”).

Meanwhile, K. Michelle is currently putting the final touches on her fourth studio collection under Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers additional productions and songwriting contributions from Soulshock & Karlin, Bianca “Blush” Atterberry, Chuck Harmony, Rosina “Soaky Siren” Russell, Claude Kelly, Amber “Sevyn” Streeter, Mike Dupree, Lovy Longomba, and Kam Parker.

K. Michelle’s previous album, “More Issues than Vogue,” debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned four promotional singles in the shape of “Not a Little Bit,” “Ain’t You,” “Mindful,” and “Time.”
