Charlie Puth has teamed up with Cirkut for a new collaboration.
The Canadian record producer and songwriter – real name Henry Walter – recently helmed eight songs on The Weeknd’s latest album “Starboy” including “I Feel It Coming,” False Alarm,” “Nothing Without You,” and “Reminder.”
Cirkut’s extensive resume boasts further works with Katy Perry (“Roar”), Jennifer Lopez (“Ain’t Your Mama”), Nicki Minaj (“The Night is Still Young”), Britney Spears (“Brightest Morning Star”), Miley Cyrus (“Wrecking Ball”), Rihanna (“You Da One”) and Ciara (“Give Me Love”).
Meanwhile, Puth is expected to release his sophomore studio collection later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.
The still-untitled project reportedly delivers songwriting contributions from Babyface, Pharrell Williams, Ilsey Juber, Toby Gad, Jacob Kasher, Ammar Malik, Wayne Hector, Ross Golan, Jason Evigan, Sean Douglas, Ammo, and Eskeerdo.
Puth’s debut studio collection, 2016’s “One Track Mind,” peaked to number six on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “One Call Away,” “We Don’t Talk Anymore” and “Dangerously.”
