Youngr unleashes new single “Monsters”

British singer, songwriter, and record producer Dario Younger Brigham-Bowes, professionally known as Youngr, has released his new single online.

“Monsters” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Sam Romans, whose other credits include Mary J. Blige’s “Doubt,” Lapsley’s “Love is Blind,” Melissa Steel’s “You Love Me,” Ella Mai’s “10,000 Hours,” Little Mix’s “Down & Dirty,” Mahalia’s “Back Up Plan,” Clean Bandit’s “Tears,” and AlunaGeorge’s “I’m in Control.”

Production duties on “Monsters” were handled by Youngr and Romans alongside Mark Spencer, who is also responsible for JP Cooper’s “September Song,” Zara Larsson’s “Ain’t My Fault,” Snakehips’ “Cruel,” Jack Garratt’s “Weathered,” Rudimental’s “Lay it All on Me,” and Years & Years’ “Eyes Shut.”

Youngr’s upcoming debut studio project – featuring previous promotional singles “Out of My System” and “Too Keen” – is expected to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Island Records.

MØ delivers new single “Nights with You”

Danish singer/songwriter Karen Orsted, professionally known as MØ, has delivered her new promotional single online.

“Nights with You” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Ryan Tedder, whose other credits include Beyonce’s “Halo,” Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love,” Natasha Bedingfield’s “Love Like This,” Gwen Stefani “Baby Don’t Lie,” and Taylor Swift’s “Welcome to New York.”

Production duties on “Nights with You” were collectively handled by SOPHIE (Madonna, Charli XCX), Benny Blanco (Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber) and Cashmere Cat (Jhene Aiko, Selena Gomez).

As mentioned in earlier posts, MØ’s upcoming sophomore album – featuring previous singles “Drum” and “Final Song,” – is expected to arrive later this year via RCA Victor / Chess Club Records.

Jasmine Thompson confirms details for new mini-album

Jasmine Thompson has confirmed the details for her upcoming EP.

The British singer/songwriter christened her next mini-album “Wonderland” and will release it on May 19 via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

Tracks slotted for inclusion on the follow-up to 2015’s “Adore” are “Old Friends,” “Someone’s Somebody,” “Wanna Know Love,” “Fix Me,” “Drama” and “Words.”

The title song is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Among the musicians backing Thompson on “Wonderland” are RITUAL (Dua Lipa, Frances), Maegan Cottone (Little Mix, Fleur East), Livvi Franc (Zara Larsson, Britney Spears) and Justin Tranter (Jojo, Fifth Harmony).

Era Istrefi taps Jenna Andrews for debut album

Kosovo-Albanian recording artist Era Istrefi has tapped the songwriting services of Jenna Andrews for her upcoming debut album.

The Canadian singer/songwriter’s notable credits include SoMo’s “Curve,” The Band Perry’s “Live Forever,” BANKS’ “Mind Games,” Jordan Fisher’s “All About Us,” Majid Jordan’s “Make it Work,” Skylar Stecker’s “Bring Me to Life,” Tori Kelly’s “Bottled Up,” Drake’s “You and the Six,” Marsha Ambrosius’ “Run,” Tamia’s “Love Life,” and Jessie J’s “Personal.”

Andrews’ resume boasts further collaborations with producers including Sacha Skarbek, Jeff Bhasker, Arnthor Birgisson, Jonas Jeberg, Will IDAP, RedOne, Chuck Harmony, Dan Heath, Benny Cassette, Matt Parad, Jon Levine, Tim Anderson, Wayne Wilkins, Mick Schultz, Kerry Brothers, Rune Westberg, Brett James, Daniel “Daylight” Kyriakides, Moon Willis, and King Henry.

Meanwhile, Estrefi is expected to release her first studio collection – featuring singles “Bon Bon” and “Redrum” – later this year via B1 Recordings / Neser Music in partnership with Ultra Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts additional songwriting contributions from Sam Romans (John Legend), Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett (Dido), Linnea Sodahl (Zara Larsson), Sarah Hudson (Dua Lipa), Jesse Saint John (Marina Diamandis), Camille Purcell (The Script) and Rachel “RAYE” Keen (Charli XCX).

Fifth Harmony drafts Happy Perez for new album

American pop quartet Fifth Harmony – composed of Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, Ally Brooke and Lauren Jauregui – has drafted Nathan Perez, professionally known as Happy Perez, for their third album.

Perez’s notable production credits include Halsey’s “Now or Never,” Machine Gun Kelly’s “At My Best,” Daley’s “Love Somebody,” Ella Henderson’s “The Last Time,” Frank Ocean’s “We All Try,” K. Michelle’s “Pay My Bills,” Mariah Carey’s “#Beautiful,” and Baby Bash’s “Suga Suga.”

Fans of his production works should also keep an eye on the next projects by Chloe x Halle [Parkwood / Columbia Records], Tamera Foster [Syco Music], Demi Lovato [Safehouse / Island / Republic / Hollywood Records], Miguel [RCA Records] and Tory Lanez [Mad Love / Interscope Records].

Meanwhile, Fifth Harmony are scheduled to release the follow-up to 2016’s “7/27” later this year via Syco Music and Epic Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers further productions from Digital Farm Animals (Liam Payne), Fredro (Alessia Cara), Jason Evigan (Bebe Rexha), Shama “Sak Pase” Joseph (Jennifer Lopez), Vincent Berry (Beyonce), Gian Stone (Nick Jonas) and The Monsters & Strangerz (Zara Larsson).

Wilkinson unleashes sophomore album “Hypnotic”

British drum and bass music producer and DJ Mark Wilkinson, professionally known as Wilkinson, has released his sophomore album online.

“Hypnotic” is now available via available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2013’s “Lazers Not Included” boasts guest appearances from Karen Harding (“Sweet Lies”), Shannon Saunders (“Breathe”), Andreya Triana (“Take Us Home”), Matt Wills (“We Will Be”), Raphaella (“Only the Innocent”), Wretch 32 (“Flatline”) and Livvi Franc (“In the Dark”).

Among the songwriters backing Wilkinson on the album are Negin Djafari (Liza Owen), Jessica “SLO” Mills (Gorgon City), Dee Adam (Ria Ritchie), Jem Cooke (Rebecca Ferguson), Bradford Ellis (Fleur East), Ali Tennant (Craig David), Talay Riley (Keri Hilson) and Josh Record (Ella Henderson).

The track was co-written by Andrew “BullySongs” Bullimore, whose other credits include Cheryl’s “Tattoo,” Galantis’ “No Money,” Flux Pavillion’s “Ironheart,” and Sigala’s “Only One,” featuring Digital Farm Animals.

Production duties on “Run” were handled by Luke Welsby and Olly Howells of Cardiff-based duo Bodhi, who previously worked with the likes of Tanika Bailey (“Fucking with My Heart”) and George the Poet (“My City”).

Meleka’s upcoming mini-album “Songs About C” – featuring the Snakehips-produced “Put it On Me” and Ian Dench-penned “Falling” – is expected to arrive later this year via J&J Entertainment.
