Craig David taps Sam Dew for new album

British singer/songwriter Craig David has tapped the songwriting services of Sam Dew for his upcoming seventh album.

Dew is known for co-writing Taylor Swift’s “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” Rihanna’s “Numb,” Jessie Ware’s “Champagne Kisses,” Clams Casino’s “Breath Away,” Usher’s “Far from Perfect,” Julio Bashmore’s “Holding On,” SOHN’s “Hard Liquor,” Marsha Ambrosius’ “Night Time,” Bridget Kelly’s “The Mouth,” Lianne La Havas’ “What You Don’t Do,” and Mary J. Blige’s “Self Love.”

The Chicago-based singer/songwriter’s extensive resume boasts further works with producers Benny Blanco, Two Inch Punch, Jim Jonsin, Warren “Oak” Felder, Andrew “Pop” Wansel, Steve “Aceface” Mostyn, Ronald “FLIP” Colson, David Sitek, Jack Antonoff, Ludwig Goransson, Fred Ball, Shea Taylor, Matthew “Aqualung” Hales, Justin Parker, Darhyl “DJ” Camper, Fraser T. Smith, Alexander “Al Shux” Shuckburgh, and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League.

Meanwhile, David is expected to release his next studio collection, which serves as the follow-up to 2016’s “Following My Intuition,” later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / Insanity Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly boasts additional alliances with Tre Jean-Marie (Jason Derulo), Negin Djafari (Mabel), Diztortion (Lethal Bizzle), Caroline Ailin (Ella Henderson), Max McElligott (John Newman), Ed Drewett (Fleur East), Talay Riley (Nick Jonas) and Dave Tozer (Ella Eyre).

Sam Dew’s mini-album “Damn Sue,” on the other hand, is now available via via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.
