Ray BLK teams up with Jimmy Napes for new single “Doing Me”

Ray BLK has announced the details for her new single.

The British singer/songwriter, born Rita Ekwere, has christened “Doing Me” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming project and will release it on June 9 via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

“Doing Me” was co-written and produced by James Napier (professionally known as Jimmy Napes), whose other credits include Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me,” Madonna’s “Best Night,” Alicia Keys’ “Hallelujah,” Mary J. Blige’s “When You’re Gone,” Jessie Ware’s “Pieces,” Liv Dawson’s “Searching, ” Ellie Goulding’s “Heal,” Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be,” and Lianne La Havas’ “Wonderful.”

BLK’s upcoming project, which serves as the follow-up to 2016’s “Durt,” is scheduled to arrive later this year.

The still-untitled collection reportedly delivers additional productions and songwriting contributions from Paul Epworth (FKA twigs) Chris Loco (Etta Bond), Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett (Little Mix), MNEK (Kylie Minogue), Cass Lowe (Snakehips) and Jordan Riley (Ella Henderson).
