Jess Glynne drafts Ed Sheeran for sophomore album

British singer/songwriter Jess Glynne has drafted fellow recording artist Ed Sheeran for her upcoming sophomore album.

Sheeran co-wrote “Woman and Like Me” and “Thursday” for Glynne alongside regular collaborator Steve Mac, as registered on ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers).

In addition to Sheeran’s global hit “Shape of You,” which topped both the UK and US Singles Chart, Sheeran and Mac wrote songs for other artists including Rita Ora (“Your Song”), Liam Payne (“Strip that Down”) and Zara Larsson (“Don’t Let Me Be Yours”).

Mac also produced and co-wrote “Take Me Home” for Glynne alongside Wayne Hector and Nick Tsang. The track, which appears on Glynne’s debut album “I Cry When I Laugh,” peaked to number six on the UK Singles Chart.

Glynne’s second studio collection, on the other hand, is expected to arrive later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly delivers additional alliances with Toby Gad (Craig David), Jin Jin (Ray BLK), Starsmith (Foxes), Talay Riley (Nick Jonas), GRADES (Kwabs), Sam Romans (John Legend), Kid Harpoon (Harry Styles), Justin Tranter (Imagine Dragons) and Kamille (David Guetta).
