John Legend enlists Raye for new collaboration

John Legend has enlisted fellow recording artist Raye for a new collaboration.

The British singer/songwriter (born Rachel Keen) recently co-wrote “If I Had My Way” for Little Mix alongside fellow recording artist Sam Romans and Thomas Barnes, Benjamin Kohn and Peter Kelleher of UK production team TMS.

Raye’s songwriting resume boasts additional works with Justine Skye (“Don’t Think About It”), Dev (“Come at Me”), Tara Carosielli (“Money”), Charli XCX (“After the Afterparty”), Tieks (“Say a Prayer”), Blonde (“All Cried Out”), M.O (“Not in Love”), 5 After Midnight (“Up in Here”), SG Lewis (“Yours”), Matoma (“The Wave”) and Snakehips (“Don’t Leave”).

Meanwhile, Legend’s latest studio collection “Darkness and Light” – featuring promotional singles “Love Me Now,” “Penthouse Floor” and “Surefire” – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

He also provided guest vocals on the Zak Abel-penned / TMS-produced cut “I’ll Be Gentle,” taken from Paloma Faith’s chart-topping album “The Architect.”

Sam Smith premieres music video for new single “One Last Song”

Sam Smith has premiered the music video for his new single online.

The visual clip for “One Last Song” was posted to the British singer/songwriter’s Vevo channel on Wednesday (November 29, 2017).

Production duties on “One Last Song” were collectively handled by Steve Fitzmaurice (Paloma Faith, Kylie Minogue), Jimmy Napes (Madonna, Alicia Keys) and Tyler Johnson (John Legend, Harry Styles).

Smith’s latest album “The Thrill of it All” – featuring the Stargate-produced lead single “Too Good at Goodbyes” and Timbaland-assisted “Pray” – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Stacy Barthe teases new collaboration with Janelle Monae

Stacy Barthe has teased a new collaboration with Janelle Monae.

“When your fellow unicorn summons you to come out and play… #janellemonae,” the American singer/songwriter posted to her Instagram profile on Tuesday (November 28, 2017).

Barthe’s songwriting resume boasts works with Alicia Keys (“Limitedless”), Melanie Fiona (“Like I Love You”), Britney Spears (“Blur”), Katy Perry (“Hummingbird Heartbeat”), Miley Cyrus (“Adore You”), Bridget Kelly (“Carry My Cross”), Rihanna (“Cheers”), Lauriana Mae (“Flaws & All”), Marsha Ambrosius (“Honey Pot”) and Teyana Taylor (“Outta My League”).

Her debut album “Becoming,” released in 2015 via John Legend’s label Home School Records in partnership with Motown Records, spawned contributions from fellow musicians including Malay (“War IV Love”), Oren Yoel (“In My Head”), Claude Kelly (“Me Versus Me”), Darhyl “DJ” Camper (“Flawed Beautiful Creatures”) and Benny Cassette (“Live for Today”).

Monae, on the other hand, is expected to release her upcoming studio collection early next year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers additional alliances with Fred Cox (Tori Kelly), Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran), Jonny Lattimer (Raye), Ina Wroldsen (Calvin Harris), Adriano Buffone (Jessie Ware), Tayla Parx (Christina Aguilera), Fabienne Holloway (Grace Cartner) and Jin Jin (Yebba Smith).

Raye reunites with Billy Walsh of Somewhere Else for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Rachel Keen, known mononymously as Raye, has reunited with Billy Walsh of Somewhere Else for a new collaboration.

The pair previously teamed up on Somewhere Else’s single “Glue,” which is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Walsh’s songwriting resume boasts additional works with Emeli Sande (“Starlight”), Alicia Keys (“In Common”), The Weeknd (“Die for You”), Post Malone (“I Fall Apart”) and Majid Jordan (“Something About You”).

Meanwhile, Raye is expected to release her next project – featuring the Jin Jin-assisted / Fraser T. Smith produced single “Decline” – early next year via Universal Music Group / Polydor Records.

As a songwriter, she recently co-wrote “If I Had My Way” for Little Mix alongside fellow recording artist Sam Romans and Thomas “Froe” Barnes, Benjamin Kohn and Peter “Merf” Kelleher of UK production team TMS.

Liam Payne hits the studio with Justin Tranter for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Liam Payne has recorded new music with Justin Tranter.

The Warner/Chappell signee recently co-wrote “Home” for Nick Jonas alongside regular collaborator Nick Monson. The track is taken from the original motion picture soundtrack, “Ferdinand.”

Tranter’s songwriting resume boasts additional works with Maroon 5 (“Help Me Out”), Halsey (“Bad at Love”), Julia Michaels (“Issues”), Gwen Stefani (“Used to Love You”), Fergie (“Tension”), Jason Derulo (“If I’m Lucky”), Kesha (“Finding You”), Justin Bieber (“Friends”) and Selena Gomez (“Bad Liar”).

Meanwhile, Payne’s upcoming debut album – featuring singles “Strip That Down” and “Bedroom Floor” – is expected to arrive early next year via Hampton Records in partnership with Capitol Records (UK) and Republic Records (US).

Miguel unwraps tracklisting for new album “War & Leisure”

American singer/songwriter Miguel Jontel Pimentel, known mononymously as Miguel, has unwrapped the tracklisting for his upcoming fourth album “War & Leisure,” which is scheduled to arrive on December 1st via ByStorm Entertainment in partnership with Sony Music’s RCA Records.

Current promotional single “Come Through And Chill” – featuring J. Cole & Salaam Remi – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2015’s “Wildheart” reportedly boasts further contributions from Steve Mostyn, Jeff Bhasker, Happy Perez, Sidney Swift, Dave Sitek, Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis, Arden Altino, Dylan Wiggins, and Raphael Saadiq.

Louis Tomlinson selects “Miss You” as new promotional single

British singer/songwriter Louis Tomlinson has selected “Miss You” as the next promotional cut from his upcoming debut album and will release it on December 1st via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

The track was co-written by Tomlinson alongside Asia Whiteacre (Hailee Steinfeld, Rachel Platten), Sarah Blanchard (Bebe Rexha, Imani Williams), Pablo Bowman (Becky Hill, Zak Abel) and Richard Boardman (Sigma, Alan Walker).

Production duties on “Miss You” were collectively handled by Julian Bunetta alongside Andrew Haas and Ian Franzino of Afterhrs, who have also worked with Niall Horan (“Mirrors”), Maroon 5 (“Best 4 U”), Hey Violet (“Like Lovers Do”), Ben Haenow (“Second Hand Heart”) and One Direction (“Wolves”).

Tomlinson’s first studio collection – featuring previous promotional singles “Back to You” and “Just Like You” – is expected to arrive early next year via 78 Productions in partnership with Syco Music (UK) and Epic Records (US).

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts further productions and songwriting contributions from TMS (Craig David), Kamille (Anne-Marie), Sam Romans (Olly Murs), Hayley Warner (John Legend), Jason Evigan (Charlie Puth), Skylar Grey (Eminem) and LunchMoney Lewis (Andy Grammer).
