Charli XCX enlists Andrew Watt for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Charlotte Aitchison, professionally known as Charli XCX, has enlisted fellow recording artist Andrew Watt for a new collaboration.

Watt recently co-wrote Rita Ora & Liam Payne’s “For You” alongside regular songwriting partner Ali Tamposi and Swedish record producer Ali Payami. The track appears on the original motion picture soundtrack, “Fifty Shades Freed,” out on February 9th via Republic Records.

Watt’s songwriting resume boasts additional works with Camila Cabello (“Havana”), Selena Gomez & Marshmello (“Wolves”), Hailee Steinfeld (“Let Me Go”), DJ Snake & Justin Bieber (“Let Me Love You”), Kygo (“It Ain’t Me”), Rita Ora (“Anywhere”) and Post Malone (“Feeling Whitney”).

XCX’s current mixtape “Pop 2” – featuring contributions from A.G. Cook, Carly Rae Jepsen, SOPHIE, Tove Lo, Alma, Caroline Polachek, Brooke Candy, Cupcakke, MØ, and Stargate – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

As a songwriter, XCX co-wrote “OMG” for Camila Cabello alongside Jonnali “Noonie Bao” Parmenius, Alexandra “Sasha Sloan” Yatchenko and Norwegian production duo Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen of Stargate.
