Normani Kordei enlists Raye, D’Mile for new collaboration

American singer/songwriter Normani Kordei has enlisted the songwriting and production services of Raye and D’Mile for her upcoming project.

Raye’s songwriting credits include John Legend’s “A Good Night,” Madison Beer’s “Home With You,” Hailee Steinfeld’s “Capital Letters,” Little Mix’s “If I Get My Way,” Rita Ora’s “Proud,” and Charli XCX’s “After the Afterparty.”

Meanwhile, D’Mile’s production resume boasts works with The Carters (“Boss”), LeToya Luckett (“I’m Ready”), TLC (“Way Back”), Usher (“Mind of a Man”), Jennifer Lopez (“One Love”), Trey Songz (“Disrespectful”), Wynter Gordon (“Back to You”), and Mary J. Blige (“In the Morning”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Normani signed a publishing deal with Stellar Songs and is currently working on her debut solo project under RCA Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly delivers further productions from Stargate, London on Da Track, Murda Beatz, T-Minus, Vinylz, Boi-1da, Jorgen Odegard, and Sons of Sonix.

On the songwriting front, Normani has also worked with Victoria Monet, Justin Tranter, Kennedi, Hue Strother, Caroline Ailin, James Fauntleroy, Tayla Parx, August Rigo, Starrah, Nija Charles, Micah Powell, and KiTo.

Arlissa teams up with Carmen Reece, Andre Harris for new collaboration

American-German singer/songwriter Arlissa has enlisted Carmen Reece and Andre Harris for a new collaboration.

Reece is responsible for co-writing Craig David’s “I Know You,” Tamar Braxton’s “Blind,” K. Michelle’s “Make the Bed,” Teyana Taylor’s “Put Your Love On,” Michelle Williams’ “Say Yes,” and Ariana Grande’s “Right There.”

Meanwhile, Harris’ songwriting and production resume boasts works with Usher (“Caught Up”), Destiny’s Child (“T-Shirt”), Ciara (“Oh”), Mariah Carey (“Lullaby”), Chris Brown (“Hold Up”) and Alicia Keys (“So Simple”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Arlissa has signed a new deal with Def Jam Recordings and is currently working on her upcoming debut project.

The still-untitled collection reportedly yields additional alliances with Lostboy, Pip Kembo, Martin Sjolie, Patrick Patrikious, Anita Blay, Jonny Hockings, Martin Terefe, Bastian Langebaek, Malay, Ari PenSmith, Shea Taylor, and Fred Ball.

Era Istrefi liberates new promotional single “Oh God”

Era Istrefi has liberated her new promotional single online.

“Oh God” – which was co-written by Chloe Angelides, Brett “Leland” McLaughlin, and Jonas Jeberg – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal, and all other digital streaming outlets.

Estrefi’s debut album – featuring previous singles “Prisoner,” “Origami,” “No More I Love Yous,” “Redrum” and “Bonbon” – is expected to arrive later this year via Neser Music in partnership with Ultra Records / B1 Recordings.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers further contributions from TMS, Chelcee Grimes, Hit Impulse, Maegan Cottone, Two Inch Punch, Sarah Hudson, Fred Ball, Sam Romans, Rami Yacoub, Jonny Hockings, and Red Triangle.

Kandace Springs confirms details for sophomore album

Kandace Springs has confirmed the details for her upcoming sophomore album.

The American singer, songwriter, and pianist has christened her second studio collection “Indigo” and will release it on September 7th via Blue Note Records.

Current promotional single “Don’t Need the Real Thing” – which was written by Janelle Kroll and Jimmy Harry and produced by Karreim Riggins – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

On the follow-up to 2016’s “Soul Eyes,” Springs has also worked with songwriters and producers including Carl Sturken, Evan Rogers, Mark Batson, Jamie Hartman, and Terrace Martin.

Mabel McVey reunites with Kid Harpoon for new collaboration

Swedish-British singer/songwriter Mabel McVey has reunited with Kid Harpoon for a new collaboration.

Harpoon previously co-wrote “Bedroom” and “Ivy” for McVey alongside Sarah Aarons and Brian Kennedy, respectively.

Harpoon’s recent songwriting and production credits also include Years & Years’ “Sanctify,” Jessie Ware’s “Alone,” Plan B’s “Grateful,” Lykke Li’s “Bad Woman,” Harry Styles’ “Carolina,” and Lea Michele’s “Heavy Love.”

Meanwhile, McVey is expected to release her next project – featuring the Marlon Roudette-penned “Fine Line” – later this year via Polydor Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly yields additional productions and songwriting alliances with Fraser T. Smith (“Put Your Name on It”), Joel Compass (“I Told You”), Amy Wadge (“Do it All Again”), Tre Jean-Marie (“Side of You”), Jordan Riley (“Lose My Cool”) and TMS (“Sleep At Night”).

Kamille premieres music video for new single “Emotional”

Kamille has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The visual clip for “Emotional” was posted to the British singer/songwriter’s Vevo channel on Monday (July 23, 2018).

The track was co-written and produced by TMS, who are also responsible for Justine Skye’s “Don’t Think About It,” Louisa Johnson’s “Best Behaviour,” Craig David’s “Change My Love” and Jess Glynne’s “Don’t Be So Hard on Yourself.”

Fans of Kamille’s songwriting works should keep an eye on the next releases by Little Mix, Olly Murs, Marina Diamandis, Louis Tomlinson, Ray BLK, Mali-Koa, Ella Henderson, John Newman, Mullally, and Rihanna.

She’s also been in the studio with producers including Timbaland, Naughty Boy, Diztortion, Louis Bell, Al Shux, Marshmello, Levi Lennox, SG Lewis, Jim Beanz, Fred Gibson, Sak Pase, and Sons of Sonix.

Tanika premieres music video for new single “No Man is An Island”

Tanika has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The visual clip for “No Man is An Island” was posted to Link Up TV’s YouTube channel on Friday (July 20, 2018).

The track was produced by Richard “P2J” Isong, whose other credits include June Diary’s “Take Me,” Lily Allen’s “Higher,” Mullally’s “Sweet Coffee,” Tiwa Savage’s “Get it Now,” and Chris Brown’s “Covered in You.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Tanika’s upcoming debut album, tentatively entitled “Birthdays in Jamaica,” featuring previous singles “Come Through” and “Kingston 13,” is expected to arrive later this year.

She’s also set to appear on the movie “The Intent 2,” for which she recorded new music as well. Her song “Up Hill Battle,” which was co-written and produced by Youthonix, appears on the original motion picture soundtrack “The Intent.”

Tanika also co-wrote “Without You” for fellow recording artist Alexandra Burke alongside regular collaborators Moses Samuels and Michael Akinkuni of songwriting/production duo Sons of Sonix.

Tamera Foster hits the studio with Eyelar Mirzazadeh

British singer/songwriter Tamera Foster has teamed up with fellow recording artist Eyelar Mirzazadeh for a new collaboration.

Eyelar is responsible for co-writing songs performed by Little Mix (“Is Your Love Enough”), Taya (“Got Me Wondering”), Charli XCX (“After the Afterparty”), Diztortion (“I’ll Be There”) and Redlight (“Here with Me”).

In addition to her very own project, Eyelar has also contributed to the next releases by Olly Murs, Astrid S, Rak-Su, L Devine, Alma, Rita Ora, Naughty Boy, Clean Bandit, Samm Henshaw, Little Mix, and Jax Jones.

Meanwhile, Foster – who was formerly signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco Music – is expected to release her upcoming debut project later this year.

Her song “Don’t Want You Back” – which she co-wrote with Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and Komi Al-Hakam – was recorded by Bakermat and Kiesza.

Foster has also worked with producers and songwriters including Mac & Phil, Kamille, Electric, Chelcee Grimes, Happy Perez, Lauren Aquilina, Knightstarr, Tom Aspaul, MNEK, Hayley Warner, Chris Loco, and Future Cut.

Ciara unleashes new promotional single “Level Up”

Ciara has unleashed her new promotional single online.

“Level Up” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Theron Thomas of Rock City, who previously teamed up with Ciara on singles “I’m Out,” “Dance Like We’re Making Love” and “I Bet,” taken from the albums “Ciara” (2013) and “Jackie” (2015), respectively.

Production duties on “Level Up” were handled by Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem, whose recent credits include Enrique Iglesias’ “Move to Miami,” Keith Urban’s “Coming Home,” Weezer’s “Feels Like Summer,” and Linkin Park’s “Talking to Myself.”

Ciara’s upcoming seventh studio collection, which serves as the follow-up to 2015’s “Jackie,” is expected to arrive later this year via Beauty Entertainment.

Diane Warren teases new collaboration with Ella Mai

Diane Warren has teased a new collaboration with Ella Mai.

“With amazing new artist @ellamai and her adorable dog friend in the studio last nite creating something epic!!,” the legendary songwriter posted to Instagram.

Warren’s extensive resume boasts works with Toni Braxton (“Unbreak My Heart”), Whitney Houston (“I Learned from the Best”), LeAnn Rimes (“How Do I Live?”), Monica (“For You, I Will”), Christina Aguilera (“I Turn to You”), Brandy (“Have You Ever”) and Lady Gaga (“Til It Happens To You”).

Meanwhile, Mai is expected to release her debut album – featuring contributions from Grades, Caroline Ailin, Tre Jean-Marie, and Diztortion – later this year via DJ Mustard’s label 10 Summers Records in partnership with Interscope Records.

Warren has also contributed to the next projects by Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Stanaj, Kelly Rowland, Yebba Smith, Lukas Graham, Ally Brooke, Seinabo Sey, Max George, Louisa Johnson, Antigoni Buxton, and Ben Platt.
