British singer/songwriter Rita Ekwere, professionally known as Ray BLK, has teamed up with Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and Fred Ball for a new collaboration.
Jin Jin’s songwriting resume boasts works with Jess Glynne (“Hold My Hand”), Tinie Tempah (“Not Letting Go”), Jax Jones (“You Don’t Know Me”), Yebba Smith (“Evergreen”), Raye (“Decline”) and Sabrina Carpenter (“Alien”).
Meanwhile, Ball’s songwriting and production credits include Mariah Carey’s “One Mo ‘Gen,” Jessie Reyez’s “Apple Juice,” Zara Larsson’s “One Mississippi,” Anne Marie’s “Some People,” Justine Skye’s “Heaven,” Toni Braxton’s “Deadwood,” and Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain.”
Ray BLK’s current project “Empress” – featuring 8 songs in the shape of “Run Run,” “Paradise,” “Got My Own,” “Girl Like Me,” “Mama,” “Empress,” “Don’t Beg” and “Just a Kid” – is now available via all digital streaming outlets.
That collection delivers alliances with Fraser T. Smith, Emma Davidson-Dillon, Cass Lowe, Jordan Riley, Fred Gibson, Warren “Oak” Felder, Sebastian Kole, Francis “Eg” White, Josh Grant, and Simon Aldred.
