Bananarama record MKS song for new album “In Stereo”

British female pop duo Bananarama – composed of Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward – have a recorded a song originally performed by MKS for their eleventh album, “In Stereo,” which will arrive on April 19 via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

“Love in Stereo” was written by MKS members Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy alongside Hannah Robinson and Richard X, who are also responsible for Rachel Stevens’ “Some Girls,” Sophie Ellis Bextor’s “Starlight,” and Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Beat the Feeling.”

Originally formed in 1998 as Sugababes, MKS have released their last single “Flatline” (which was co-written and produced by Blood Orange’s Devonte Hynes) in 2013 via Universal Music Group / Polydor Records.

Their highly-anticipated album featured further contributions from Richard “Biff” Stannard (“Beat is Gone”), Shaznay Lewis (“Boys”), Tom Aspaul (“Burnt Out”), MNEK (“Drum”), Iain James (“Love Me Hard”), Sia (“Surrender”), Eliot James (“Summer of 99”) and Mojam (“Too in Love”).

Louise premieres music video for new single “Stretch”

Louise has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The visual clip for “Stretch” was posted to the British singer/songwriter’s YouTube channel on Friday (March 29, 2019).

“Stretch” – which was co-written by Jon Eyden alongside Swedish production duo Oliver Lundstrom and Fredrik Samsson (aka Oliver & Samsson) – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Louise’s upcoming studio collection “Heavy Love” is scheduled to arrive on October 18th via Warner Music Group / Lil Lou Records.

Other album producers include Francis “Eg” White, Sky Adams, Jim Duguid, Michael Angelo, Ollie Green, Lostboy, Phil Cook, Jez Ashurst, LDN Noise, Bradford Ellis, Jonny Hockings, and Clean Bandit.

On the songwriting front, Louise has worked with Karen Poole, Raye, Maiday, Danny Shah, Negin Djafari, Andrew Jackson, Rachel Furner, Iain James, Jaxxon, Bryn Christopher, Carla Monroe, Jacob Attwooll, Grace Tither, Adam Argyle, Sinead Harnett, Nick Tsang, Katy B, Jojo, Sam Klempner, and Dyo.

Sinead Harnett shares music video for new single “Be Myself”

Sinead Harnett has shared the music video for her new single online.

The visual clip for “Be Myself” was posted to the British singer/songwriter’s Vevo channel on Wednesday (March 27, 2019).

Production duties on “Be Myself” were handled by Stint, who is also responsible for Alina Baraz’s “Feels Right,” Nao’s “Drive and Disconnect,” Jessie Ware’s “Alone,” Sabrina Claudio’s “Unravel Me,” Demi Lovato’s “Tell Me You Love Me,” AlunaGeorge’s “Jealous,” and Zara Larsson’s “Make That Money Girl.”

Harnett is expected to release her next project – featuring previous promotional singles “Body,” “Lessons” and “System” – later this year via Bad Music.

The still-untitled collection reportedly boasts further contributions from Future Cut, Paul E. Phamous, Marlon Roudette, Alan Sampson, P2J, Ari PenSmith, Michael Angelo, Hue Strother, Autumn Rowe, Maths Time Joy, Steve Mostyn, Brandon Buttner, Illangelo, Doc McKinney, and Rodney Jerkins.

Ciara confirms details for new album “Beauty Marks”

Ciara has confirmed the details for her upcoming album.

The American singer/songwriter christened her seventh studio collection “Beauty Marks” and will release it on May 10 via Beauty Marks Entertainment.

Current promotional single “Thinkin Bout You” – which was co-written by Ester Dean and produced by Space Primates (aka Marc Sibley and Nathan Cunningham) – is now available via all digital streaming outlets.

Other album contributors include Rodney Jerkins (Brandy, Toni Braxton), Jasper Cameron (Mario, Christina Aguilera), Theron Thomas (Rihanna, Nicki Minaj), Carmen Reece (Ariana Grande, Craig David), Sam Fischer (Arlissa, Lennon Stella) and Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem (Gwen Stefani, Jason Derulo).

Kelsey Lu has delivered her new promotional single online.

“Blood” – which was co-written by Orlando Higginbottom (better known by his stage name Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs) and produced by Adrian Younge – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Lu’s upcoming debut album of the same name – featuring previous singles “Shades of Blue,” “Due West” and “I’m Not in Love” – is scheduled to arrive on April 19 via Columbia Records.

The highly-anticipated project yields additional productions and songwriting contributions from Jeff Gitty, Rodaidh McDonald, Justin Raisen, Michael Uzowuru, Skrillex, Jamie XX, Sarah Aarons, Jeff Kleinman, and Roofeo.

Becky Hill releases new promotional single “I Could Get Used to This”

Becky Hill has released her new promotional single online.

“I Could Get Used to This” – which was collectively produced by Mark Ralph and Richard “Weiss” Dinsdale – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was also co-written by Hill alongside regular collaborators Ryan Ashley (Samantha Mumba, Christina Aguilera), Uzoechi “MNEK” Emenike (Beyonce, Kylie Minogue) and Michael Kintish (Jojo, Eric Saade).

Hill’s debut album – featuring previous single “Sunrise in the East” (which was co-written by Maverick Sabre and collectively produced by Lostboy, Hitimpulse and ADP) – is expected to arrive later this year via Polydor Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers further contributions from The 23rd (Ellie Goulding), Rachel Furner (Craig David), Diztortion (Melissa Steel), Plested (Little Mix), Ed Drewett (Sinead Harnett), Josh Record (Ella Henderson), Ollie Green (Stephen Puth) and Karen Poole (Louise Redknapp).

Khalid drafts Sam Romans, Hit-Boy for new promotional single “Self”

American singer/songwriter Khalid Robinson, known mononymously as Khalid, has liberated his new promotional single online.

“Self” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Sam Romans (known by his stage name RØMANS), whose other credits include Craig David’s “Heartline,” Mary J. Blige’s “Doubt,” Demi Lovato’s “Sober,” Justine Skye’s “Don’t Think About It,” AlunaGeorge’s “I’m in Control,” and Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved.”

Production duties on “Self” were handled by Hit-Boy (born Chauncey Hollis), who is also responsible for Beyonce’s “Bow Down,” Kelly Rowland’s “Lay it On Me,” Mary J. Blige’s “Stronger,” Rihanna’s “Watch n’ Learn,” Nicki Minaj’s “Feeling Myself,” Mariah Carey’s “Thirsty,” and Tinashe’s “Joyride.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Khalid’s sophomore studio collection “Free Spirit” – featuring previous singles “My Bad,” “Better,” “Talk” and “Saturday Nights” – will arrive on April 5th via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The follow-up to 2017’s “American Teen” yields additional contributions from Stargate (Normani), Charlie Handsome (Sevyn Streeter), Jamil “Digi” Chammas (Arlissa), Denis Kosiak (Martin Garrix), Scribz Riley (Tove Lo), D’Mile (Lucky Daye), Kurtis “K9” McKenzie (Lauren Jauregui) and Al Shux (Elle Varner).
