Jojo hits the studio with Stacy Barthe for new collaboration

American singer/songwriter Joanna Levesque, known mononymously as Jojo, has teamed up with Stacy Barthe for a new collaboration.

Barthe’s songwriting resume boasts works with Rihanna (“Cheers”), Alicia Keys (“Limitedless”), Teyana Taylor (“Outta My League”), Marsha Ambrosius (“So Good”), Bridget Kelly (“Carry My Cross”), Melanie Fiona (“Like I Love You”), Lauriana Mae (“Marvelous”) and Ciara (“Flaws and All”).

Her debut album “Becoming” – featuring productions from Malay, Benny Cassette, and Darhyl “DJ” Camper – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

In addition to contributing to Louise’s upcoming album, “Heavy Love,” Jojo is expected to release her fourth studio collection later this year via her own imprint Clover Music in partnership with Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers further songwriting contributions from Chloe Angelides, Isabella Kearney-Nurse, Max Wolfgang, Diana Gordon, Natt Dunn, Sebastian Kole, Caroline Ailin, Steph Jones, Iain James, Kennedi Lykken, Skyler Stonestreet, Myah Marie, and Boy Matthews.

FKA twigs unleashes music video for new single “Cellophane”

FKA twigs has unleashed the music video for her new single online.

The Andrew Thomas Huang-directed clip for “Cellophane” was posted to the British singer/songwriter’s YouTube channel on Wednesday (April 24, 2019).

Now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets; “Cellophane” was written by FKA twigs (born Tahliah Barnett) alongside Jeff Kleinman (Arlissa, Kelsey Lu) and Michael Uzowuru (Jorja Smith, Frank Ocean).

As mentioned in earlier posts, FKA twigs upcoming project – featuring further contributions Rick Nowels, Levi Lennox, and Sia Furler – is expected to arrive later this year via Young Turks Recordings.

Dyo releases debut promotional single “Arena”

British singer/songwriter Dayo Olatunji, known mononymously as Dyo, has released her new promotional single.

“Arena” – which was co-written by Dyo alongside Jonathan Lee and Alastair O’Donnell – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Arena” were collectively handled by Jay Weathers (Ella Eyre, Jaira Burns) and Parker Ighile (Tamera Foster, Grace Sewell).

As a songwriter, Dyo has penned songs for Fleur East (“Favourite Thing”), M.O (“Wondering”), Four of Diamonds (“Put Your Name On It”), Jacob Banks (“Love Ain’t Enough”) and Fifth Harmony (“Lonely Night”).

She has also contributed to the next projects by Dan Caplen, Lauren Jauregui, Mabel McVey, Zella Day, Ryn Weaver, Melissa Steel, Kranium, Zara Larsson, Ray BLK, Sabina Ddumba, Louise Redknapp, and Mack Wilds.

Dinah Jane premieres music video for new single “Heard It All Before”

Dinah Jane has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The Steve Gomillion-directed clip for “Heard It All Before” was posted to the American singer/songwriter’s YouTube channel on Friday (April 19, 2019).

The track was co-written by Micah Powell, whose other credits include Omarion’s “Post to Be,” Trey Songz’s “Picture Perfect,” Eric Bellinger’s “Film Me,” Sevyn Streeter’s “Shoulda Been There” and Tank’s “Next Breath.”

Production duties on “Heard It All Before” were handled by Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem, who is also responsible for Chris Brown’s “Wobble Up,” Gwen Stefani’s “Used to Love You,” Keith Urban’s “Coming Home,” Ciara’s “Freak Me,” Enrique Iglesias’s “Move to Miami,” and Avril Lavigne’s “Head Above Water.”

Jane’s current self-titled project – featuring two additional songs in the shape of “Pass Me By” and “Fix It” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Rotimi releases new promotional single “Love Riddim”

Nigerian-American singer-actor Olurotimi Akinosho, known professionally as Rotimi, has released his new promotional single online.

“Love Riddim” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by Rotimi alongside Al Sherrod Lambert (Jamie Foxx, Mary J. Blige), Varren Wade (Jennifer Lopez, Ella Mai), Colby O’Donnis (Lady Gaga, Kelly Rowland), Harmony “H-Money” Samuels (Chris Brown, Ariana Grande) and Edgar “Johnny Velvet” Etienne (Ciara, Janet Jackson).

As mentioned in various media outlets, Rotimi’s upcoming EP “Walk With Me” is scheduled to arrive on May 24 via FrontRo Music Group / EMPIRE.

Darhyl “DJ” Camper teases new collaboration with John Legend

Darhyl “DJ” Camper has teased a new collaboration with John Legend.

“I still remember sending fan mail online in the seventh grade letting you know I play wishing to meet you,” the American record producer and songwriter posted to Instagram on Friday (April 19, 2019).

Camper previously teamed up with Legend on “Open Your Eyes,” “Dreams” and “Angel,” taken from the artist’s fourth album, 2013’s “Love in the Future,” which debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Camper’s resume boasts additional works with Tamar Braxton (“Love & War”), Mary J. Blige (“Thick of It”), Ne-Yo (“Good Man”), Jessie J (“Not My Ex”), Trey Songz (“Pretty Girl’s Lie”), Christina Aguilera (“Masochist”), Mariah Carey (“Dedicated”) and Keyshia Cole (“Trust & Believe”).

Meanwhile, Legend’s current single “Preach” – which was co-written by Sarah Aarons and produced by Greg Kurstin – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Tamera Foster has teamed up with Fred Cox for a new collaboration.

The British record producer and songwriter previously helmed songs for Grace Carter (“Heal Me”), Olivia Nelson (“Back When”), Zak Abel (“Rock Bottom”), Caitlyn Scarlett (“Back When”), Rag’n’Bone Man (“Grace”), Kiah Victoria (“Treat Me”), Tanika (“Fuck Boy”) and Joel Compass (“Back to Me”).

Meanwhile, Tamera is expected to release her upcoming project – which reportedly features further contributions from Parker Ighile, Eyelar, Aston Rudi, Loxe, Dayyon Alexander, XSDTRK, and Maths Time Joy – later this year.

As a songwriter, Tamera co-wrote “Don’t Want You Back” for Bakermat & Kiesza alongside Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett (Yebba, Jess Glynne) and Komi Al Hakam (Sam Smith, Olly Murs). The track is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.
