British singer/songwriter Mahalia Burkmar, known mononymously as Mahalia, has unleashed her new promotional single online.
“Simmer” – featuring Burna Boy – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.
The track was co-written by Wayne Hector, whose recent credits include Rita Ora’s “Ritual,” Maren Morris’ “Kingdom of One,” Prettymuch’s “Healthy,” Josh Groban’s “Won’t Look Back,” and Leon Bridges’ “Bad Bad News.”
Production duties on “Simmer” were collectively handled by Felix Joseph (Jorja Smith, Kevin Garrett) and Jonah Christian (Snoh Alegra, Anderson Paak).
Mahalia’s upcoming debut album “Love and Compromise” – featuring previous singles “I Wish I Missed My Ex” and “Do Not Disturb” – is scheduled to arrive on September 13 via Asylum Records (UK) and Atlantic Records (US).
The highly-anticipated project yields additional productions and songwriting contributions from Aston Rudi, Jonny Lattimer, Alastair O’Donnell, Nate Warner, Sam Dew, Pop Wansel, DJ Dahi, Sounwave, and Jennifer Decilveo.
