Snoh Aalegra has teamed up with The Neptunes for a new collaboration.

Composed of Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, The Neptunes recently helmed nine songs on Justin Timberlake’s last album “Man of the Woods” including “Midnight Summer Jam,” “Higher, Higher,” “Wave,” “Supplies,” “Flannel,” “Montana,” “Breeze of the Pond” and “Livin’ Off the Land.”

The songwriting and production duo are also responsible for Kelis’ “Caught Out There,” Britney Spears’ “I’m a Slave 4 U,” Usher’s “U Don’t Have to Call,” Beyonce’s “Work it Out,” Toni Braxton’s “Hit the Freeway,” Mariah Carey’s “Say Something,” and Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl.”

Meanwhile, Aalegra’s most recent single “Whoa” – which was co-written and produced by Dernst “D’Mile” Emile – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Her debut album “Ugh, Those Feels Again” features additional contributions from NO ID, Harold Lilly, Marcus James, Jonah Christian, Matthew Burnett, Riley Bell, Johan Lenox, Maneesh, Joel Compass, Doctor O, Nes, Rob Holladay, Cam O’bi, Dee Lilly, Luke James, and Steve Wyreman of Cocaine 80s.

Arin Ray releases new EP “Phases II”

Arin Ray has released his new EP online.

“Phases II” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The EP includes singles “Change” (featuring Kehlani) and “A Seat,” as well as three new songs in the shape of “ZZZ,” “Don’t Chase” and “The Get Down.”

Among the musicians backing Ray on “Phases II” are The Rascals (Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly), Babyface (Toni Braxton, Mariah Carey), Sir Dylan (The Weeknd, John Legend) and Lord Quest (Schoolboy Q, Talib Kweli).

On the songwriting and production front, Ray is known for helming K. Michelle’s “Ain’t You,” Jason Derulo’s “Love Like That,” Justin Skye’s “Back for More,” Jeremih’s “Feel Like Phil,” and Maeta’s “Be Mine.”

Jorja Smith enlists Dre Skull for new collaboration

Jorja Smith has enlisted Dre Skull for a new collaboration.

The American musician (born Andrew Hershey) recently produced and co-wrote “Bad Behaviour” for Polydor recording artist Mabel McVey. The track appears on Mabel’s debut studio album, “High Expectations,” which peaked to number three on the UK Albums Chart.

Dre Skull’s resume boasts additional works with Burna Boy (“Show & Tell”), Drake’s (“Too Much”), PartyNextDoor (“Not Nice”), Justine Skye (“Maybe”), Santigold (“Crashing Your Party”), Lily Allen (“What You Waiting For”), Wiz Kid (“Daddy Yo”), Tkay Maidza (“Follow Me”) and Popcaan (“Silence”).

Meanwhile, Smith is currently working on new music with Ronald “Flippa” Colson (Rihanna, Nicki Minaj), Jeff Gitty (Tori Kelly, Lianne La Havas), Marlon Roudette (Jada Kingdom, Zara Larsson) and P2J (Jaz Karis, Tanika Bailey).

Snoh Aalegra has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The visual clip for “Whoa” was posted to the Swedish singer/songwriter’s YouTube channel on Friday (13 December 2020).

Production duties on “Whoa” were handled by D’Mile, whose other credits include The Carters’ “Boss,” LeToya Luckett’s “I’m Ready,” Usher’s “Mind of a Man,” H.E.R.’s “Could’ve Been,” Lucky Daye’s “Buying Time,” Victoria Monet’s “Ass Like That,” and Mary J. Blige’s “In the Morning.”

Aalegra’s debut studio album “Ugh, Those Feels Again” – featuring previous singles “I Want You Around,” “Find Someone Like You” and “Situationship” – is now available via Apple Music and all other digital streaming outlets.

Usher has unleashed his new single online.

“Don’t Waste My Time” – featuring Ella Mai – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was produced by regular collaborators Jermaine Dupri and Bryan Michael Cox, who previously teamed up with Usher on singles “U Got It Bad,” “U-Turn” and “Confessions Part II,” taken from the albums “8701” (2001) and “Confessions” (2004), respectively.

Usher’s upcoming ninth album, tentatively entitled “Confessions 2,” is expected to arrive early next year via Brand Usher / RCA Records.

The highly-anticipated project reportedly delivers additional productions and songwriting contributions from Danja, Rico Love, Sean Garrett, Mike Sabath, Stacy Barthe, Ryan Toby, Uforo Ebong, JHart, Sebastian Kole, Harmony Samuels, Ghoss, Akil King, Verse Simmonds, and Sons of Sonix.

British singer/songwriter Rachel Keen, known mononymously as Raye, has delivered her new single online.

“Please Don’t Touch” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by Raye alongside Camille “Kamille” Purcell (Sam Smith, Lianne La Havas) and Fraser T. Smith (Jess Glynne, Ella Eyre).

Raye’s upcoming project – featuring previous single “Love Me Again” (which was co-written by Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and prodcued by Fred Ball) – is expected to arrive early next year via Polydor Records.

As a songwriter, Raye is known for co-writing Beyonce’s “Bigger,” John Legend’s “A Good Night,” Ellie Goulding’s “Sixteen,” Hailee Steinfeld’s “Capital Letters,” Madison Beer’s “Home With You,” and Justin Skye’s “Don’t Think About It.”

She also co-wrote “Hands on the Sink” for Louise alongside Fred Cox and Francis “Eg” White. The track appears on Louise’s upcoming album, “Heavy Love,” which will arrive on 17 January 2020 via Lil Lou Records.

Selena Gomez has confirmed the details for her upcoming album.

The American singer, songwriter, and actress christened her next studio collection “Rare” and will release it 10 January 2020 via Interscope Records.

Lead singles “Look At Her Now” and “Lose You to Love Me” are now available via Apple Music and all other digital streaming outlets.

The album also features songwriting contributions from Madison Emiko Love, Leland, Caroline Ailin, Justin Tranter, Julia Michaels, Sean Douglas, Breyan Isaac, Julie Frost, Amy Allen, Steph Jones, Bebe Rexha, Simon Wilcox, Jasmine Thompson, Scott Harris, Chloe Angelides, and Liza Owen.

The track was written by Dua Lipa alongside Clarence Coffee Jr. (Tinashe, Bebe Rexha) and Jeff Bhasker (Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Dua Lipa’s upcoming second studio album “Future Nostalgia” – featuring previous single “Don’t Start Now” (which was co-written by Caroline Ailin, Emily Warren and Ian Kirkaptrick) – is expected to arrive early next year via Warner Bros. Records.

The highly-anticipated project reportedly features additional songwriting contributions from from Julia Michaels, Sarah Hudson, Tove Lo, Kennedi, Tayla Parx, Kamille, Sarah Aarons, Ilsey Juber, Jozzy, Sasha Sloan, and Lindy Robbins.

Alexander’s songwriting resume boasts works with Camila Cabello (“This Love”), Madison Beer (“Say It To My Face”), Hamzaa (“Hard to Love”), Demi Lovato (“Concrete”), Ella Mai (“Everything”) and Sabrina Carpenter (“Tell Em”).

Meanwhile, Mooncie’s is known for co-writing and/or producing Dermot Kennedy’s “Outnumbered,” Dua Lipa’s “I’m Free,” Joy Crookes’ “Early,” Mullally’s “She Don’t Know Me,” and Sonia’s “I Don’t Know.”

Harnett’s debut studio album “Lessons in Love” – featuring singles “Pulling Away,” “Leo Bear,” “By Myself,” “Lessons” and “If You Let Me” – is now available iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Jazmine Sullivan teases spring release for upcoming EP

Jazmine Sullivan has teased a spring release for her upcoming EP.

“So I’ve been quiet for a min. And by a minute I mean 5 years. But I just recently experienced something that has rocked my world and turned it upside down. Life is funny like that. And I’m almost sure it’s leading me on a patch that will inspire an album. t for now, an EP is on the way. Probably spring release. Love you all,” the American singer/songwriter posted to Instagram.

Sullivan’s most recent album, 2015’s “Reality Show,” peaked to number twelve on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles “Dumb,” “Forever Don’t Last” and “Let it Burn.”

Since then, she has recorded new music with fellow recording artist Justin Timberlake as well as songwriters and producers Malay (Tori Kelly, Frank Ocean), Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett (Raye, Craig David), Nova Wav (Kehlani, Teyana Taylor) and Jenna Andrews (Tamia, Elle Varner).

As a songwriter, Sullivan is known for co-writing Mary J. Blige’s “Thick of It,” Christina Milian’s “Say I,” Tamia’s “Still Love You,” Monica’s “Everything to Me,” Faith Evans’ “He Is,” Candice Glover’s “Cried,” Jessica Sanchez’s “Drive By,” and Jennifer Hudson’s “I’m His Only Woman.”
