Jazmine Sullivan teases spring release for upcoming EP

Jazmine Sullivan has teased a spring release for her upcoming EP.

“So I’ve been quiet for a min. And by a minute I mean 5 years. But I just recently experienced something that has rocked my world and turned it upside down. Life is funny like that. And I’m almost sure it’s leading me on a patch that will inspire an album. t for now, an EP is on the way. Probably spring release. Love you all,” the American singer/songwriter posted to Instagram.

Sullivan’s most recent album, 2015’s “Reality Show,” peaked to number twelve on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles “Dumb,” “Forever Don’t Last” and “Let it Burn.”

Since then, she has recorded new music with fellow recording artist Justin Timberlake as well as songwriters and producers Malay (Tori Kelly, Frank Ocean), Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett (Raye, Craig David), Nova Wav (Kehlani, Teyana Taylor) and Jenna Andrews (Tamia, Elle Varner).

As a songwriter, Sullivan is known for co-writing Mary J. Blige’s “Thick of It,” Christina Milian’s “Say I,” Tamia’s “Still Love You,” Monica’s “Everything to Me,” Faith Evans’ “He Is,” Candice Glover’s “Cried,” Jessica Sanchez’s “Drive By,” and Jennifer Hudson’s “I’m His Only Woman.”

Amber Mark teams up with Marlon Roudette, Trey Campbell for new collaboration

American singer/songwriter Amber Mark has teamed up with Marlon Roudette and Trey Campbell for a new collaboration.

Roudette’s songwriting resume boasts works with Mabel (“Finders Keepers”), Jax Jones (“Ring Ring”), Sinead Harnett (“Unconditional”), Alex Clare (“Crazy to Love You”), Louisa Johnson (“Roads to Rome”), Siobhan Donaghey (“Twist of Fate”), Nico Santos (“Say You Won’t Go”) and SBTRKT (“I Feel Your Pain”).

Meanwhile, Campbell is responsible for co-writing Ella Mai’s “Gut Feeling,” Bebe Rexha’s “Atmosphere,” Banks’ “Look What You’re Doing to Me,” Maad’s “Black Ice,” Noah Cyrus’ “Sadness,” Gallant’s “Sharpest Edges,” Adam Lamber’s “Two Fux,” and Marsha Ambrosius’ “Flood.”

Amber’s most recent single “What If” – which was co-written and produced by Jeffrey “Jeff Gitty” Gitelman – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Her upcoming and currently-untitled debut album – featuring further contributions from Mark Ralph, Two Inch Punch, Sarah Aarons, and Noah Breakfast – is expected to arrive early next year via Virgin EMI Records.

Kara Marni drafts Cadenza for new collaboration

Kara Marni has teamed up with Cadenza for a new collaboration.

The British record producer and songwriter (born Oliver Rodigan) recently helmed Jorja Smith’s “Be Honest” (featuring Burna Boy) alongside Amira “Miraa May” Benameur and Andron “IzyBeats” Cross.

Cadenza’s resume boasts additional works with Rita Ora (“Falling to Pieces”), Tala (“Alchemy”), Corella (“Talk”), RuthAnne (“Liquid”), Bad Gyal (“Santa Maria”), AJ Tracey (“Plan B”) and Rag’n’Bone Man (“Healed”).


Meanwhile, Kara’s most recent EP “No Logic” – featuring 7 songs in the shape of “Lose My Love,” “Opposite,” “Caught Up,” “All Night, Pt. I,” “No Logic,” “Lay Your Blame,” and “All Night, Pt. II” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Her upcoming project reportedly boasts additional contributions from Loxe, Carmen Reece, Mike Woods, Ruth-Anne Cunningham, Che Pope, Jay Mooncie, Autumn Rowe, Dayyon Alexander, Chiara Hunter, and Sons of Sonix.

Teyana Taylor unleashes new single “We Got Love”

Teyana Taylor has unleashed her new single online.

“We Got Love” – which samples The Younghearts’ “We’ve Got Love (You Better Believe It)” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Denisia “Blu June” Andrews and Brittany “Chi” Coney of Nova Wav, who previously teamed up with Taylor on “K.T.S.E.” singles “Gonna Love Me,” “Issues / Hold On” and “WTP.”

Production duties on “We Got Love” were collectively handled by Kanye West alongside Boogz Da Beast (Dave East, John Legend), E*vax (Jay-Z, Kid Kudi), Mike Dean (Madonna, Christina Aguilera), Seven Aurelius (Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey) and Johan Lenox (Nas, Alessia Cara).

Taylor’s upcoming, and currently untitled, album – featuring previous singles “How You Want It?” and “Morning” – is expected to arrive later this year via Getting Out of Your Dreams / Def Jam Recordings.

Camila Cabello has delivered her second studio album online.

“Romance” – featuring singles “Liar,” “Shameless,” “Cry for Me,” “Easy,” “Living Proof” and “Senorita” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The new project features productions from The Monsters & Strangerz, Andrew Watt. Frank Dukes, Louis Bell, Benny Blanco, Cashmere Cat, Jon Bellion, DJ HardWerk, Carter Lang, Westen Weiss, John Hill, and Mattman & Robin.

On the songwriting front, Cabello has worked with Ali Tamposi, Justin Tranter, Nate Mercereau, Ricky Reed, Charli XCX, Jack Patterson, Crystal Nicole, Ryan Tedder, Sam Romans, Dayyon Alexander, and Amy Wadge.

Jamaican singer/songwriter Jada Ashanti Murphy, known professionally as Jada Kingdom, has released her new single online.

“Heavy” – which was collectively produced by DJ Papis and Acero MC – is now available via Apple Music and all other digital streaming outlets.

Jada’s upcoming project under Twinkle Media / Pop Style Music reportedly features additional contributions from P2J (Jaz Karis, Doja Cat), Marlon Roudette (Mabel, Sinead Harnett) and Cadenza (Kara Marni, Jorja Smith).

Mabel shares music video for new single “Loneliest Time of Year”

Mabel has shared the music video for her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Loneliest Time of Year” to her Vevo channel on Friday (06 December 2019).

The track was co-written by Kamille “Kamille” Purcell (Sam Smith, Lianne La Havas), Nayla “Sillkey” Nyassa (Ray BLK, Jaz Karis), Uzoechi “MNEK” Emenike (Kelis, Christina Aguilera) and Tre Jean-Marie (Ella Eyre, Paloma Faith).

Mabel’s debut studio album, “High Expectations,” was released in August this year via Polydor Records. The collection peaked to number three on the UK Albums Chart and spawned singles “Don’t Call Me Up” and “Mad Love.”
