Ray BLK signs new deal with Island Records

British singer/songwriter Rita Ekwere, professionally known as Ray BLK, has inked a new deal with Island Records UK.

The Universal Music imprint also houses artists including Ariana Grande, Sigrid, JP Cooper, Drake, Mollie King, Bibi Bourelly, Cosima, AlunaGeorge, Hailee Steinfeld, Marlon Roudette, and Jessie Ware, amongst others.

As mentioned in earlier posts, BLK is expected to release her upcoming project and follow-up to 2016’s “Durt” – featuring the Gina Kushka and Tom Havelock-penned / Jimmy Napes-produced “Doing Me” – later this year.

The still-untitled collection reportedly boasts further contributions from Rymez, Kelly Kiara, Lil Eddie, Raye, The 23rd, MNEK, Dayo Olatunji, Courage, Jin Jin, Invisible Men, Kamille, Mr. Hudson, Evan Bogart, Harloe, Parker Ighile, Kane “KIN” Parfitt, Moon Willis, Paul Epworth, and Chris Loco.

Lennon Stella signs new deal with RECORDS / Columbia Records

Canadian singer, songwriter, and actress Lennon Stella has signed a new deal with RECORDS/Columbia Records and will release her upcoming debut project later this year.

“Lennon’s unique artistry, point of view, distinctive vocal ability and star-power is simply overwhelming,” says Barry Weiss, Partner & Co-Founder, RECORDS. “We’re super excited to have her here at RECORDS. I’m elated that Jenna Andrews (who does A&R for the label) brought her to us.”

“I feel so lucky to work hand in hand with this incredible and inspiring group of people. There are no words to describe the feeling of finally being able to release my own music, something I have always dreamed of,” says Stella.

On the still-untitled collection, Stella has worked with songwriters including Amy Wadge, Maureen “MoZella” McDonald, Sarah Aarons, Trey Campbell, Sean Douglas, Max McElligott, Ali Tamposi, Chloe Angelides, Emily Warren, Fiona Bevan, Caitlyn Scarlett, Ella Henderson, Nate Cyphert, Parson James, Sam Fisher, Bipolar Sunshine, Elliphant, Ashlyn Wilson, and Jenna Andrews.

Among the producers backing Stella on the project are Joel Little, Ajay “Stint” Bhattacharyya, Jonny Lattimer, MNEK, Alex Hope, Gladius James, Daniel “Robopop” Omelio, Two Inch Punch, Philip “Pip” Kembo, Tommy English, Jesse Shatkin, Big Taste, Jason Evigan, M-Phazes, Alex Niceforo, Benny Cassette, Steve Mostyn, Joe Janiak, and The Monsters & Strangerz.

Becky Hill signs new deal with Polydor Records

British singer/songwriter Rebecca Claire Hill, professionally known as Becky Hill, has signed a new deal with Polydor Records.

The Universal Music Group imprint also houses artists including HAIM, James Blake, Cashmere Cat, The 1975, Jacob Banks, Neiked, Julia Michaels, Clean Bandit, Demi Lovato, Billie Eilish, Lana Del Rey, Blaise Moore, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ellie Goulding, Gwen Stefani, Charlotte OC, and Jessie Reyez.

Co-written with Karen Poole and MNEK, Hill’s upcoming promotional single “Unpredicatable,” which serves as the final release from her own label Eko Records, is scheduled to arrive on August 9th via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Formerly signed to Parlophone Records, the “False Alarm” star has reportedly co-penned songs on the next projects by Ella Eyre, Terri Walker, Chloe Leone, Imani Williams, DAKOTA, and Professor Green.

Hill’s previous credits include Tough Love’s “Touch,” Oliver Heldens’ “Last All Night (Koala),” Watermat’s “All My Love,” Marc Kinchen’s “Piece of Me,” Bondax’s “All I See,” Rudimental’s “Powerless,” KStewart’s “Be Without You,” Wilkinson’s “Afterglow,” and Lindsey Stirling’s “Love’s Just a Feeling.”

Marlon Roudette signs new deal with Island Records UK

Marlon Roudette has signed a new deal with Island Records UK.

“Excited to announce that I’ve signed a new record deal with @islandrecordsuk Massive thanks to the whole team and boss Darcus Beese for persevering since my Mattafix days!! #ultralove @islandrecords I’m on Bob Marley’s label baby!!,” the British singer/songwriter posted to Instagram.

The Universal Music imprint also houses artists including Ariana Grande, John Newman, Bibi Bourelly, Cosima, Elli Ingram, AlunaGeorge, Disclosure, Grace Mitchell, Hailee Steinfeld, Jack Garratt, DNCE, and Kid Cudi, amongst others.

Roudette’s current promotional single “Ultra Love” – which was co-written alongside Joacim Persson and Sebastian Arman – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

For his next project, Roudette has reportedly worked with Future Cut (Adele), Tre Jean-Marie (Jacob Banks), Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams), Jamie Hartman (Kacy Hill), Crada (Drake), Jimmy Napes (Rita Ora), Digital Farm Animals (Little Mix), Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran), Mark Batson (Emeli Sande), LOSTBOY (Fleur East) and Red Triangle (Nina Nesbitt).

On the songwriting front, the “New Age” star has contributed to the next projects by Liam Payne, Ady Suleiman, and Emma Bale. His previous credits include Siobahn Donaghy’s “Twist of Fate,” Mabel McVey’s “Finders Keepers,” Louisa Johnson’s “Road to Rome,” and Sinead Harnett’s “Unconditional.”

Ina Wroldsen signs record deal with Syco Music

Ina Wroldsen has signed a new record deal with Syco Music.

The Norwegian singer/songwriter previously wrote songs for current and former Syco recording artists including Leona Lewis (“My Hands”), Alexandra Burke (“Before the Rain”), Little Mix (“We Are Who We Are”), One Direction (“I Should Have Kissed You”), Rebecca Ferguson (“My Best”), James Arthur (“Recovery”), Fleur East (“Like That”) and Louisa Johnson (“Almost”).

She has also provided guest vocals on Calvin Harris & the Disciples’ “How Deep is Your Love” [Columbia], Chris Loco’s “Human” [OddChild] Sigma’s “Feel Like Home” [3Beat] and Martin Solveig’s “Places” [Virgin EMI].

Ciara signs new deal with Warner Brothers Records

Ciara has inked a new deal with Warner Brothers Records.

The Warner Music Group imprint also houses artists including Jason Derulo, Adam Lambert, Bebe Rexha, Jake Miller, Andra Day, Lianne La Havas, Kylie Minogue, Dua Lipa, Idina Menzel, Damon Albarn, and GRADES.

Ciara’s last studio collection under Epic Records, 2015’s “Jackie,” peaked to number seventeen on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned two singles in the shape of “I Bet” and “Dance Like We’re Making Love.”

That album also delivered contributions from Dr. Luke, Cirkut, Ester Dean, Rock City, LunchMoney Lewis, Harmony Samuels, Edgar “JV” Etienne, Jacob Kasher, Chloe Angelides, Livvi Franc, Ali Tamposi, and Diane Warren.

Chelcee Grimes inks new deal with RCA Label Group UK

Chelcee Grimes has signed a new deal with RCA Label Group UK and will release her debut album later this year.

“So excited to finally announce I’ve just signed to Sony RCA!!! So excited for 2017!!! Album Coming Soon!!! @RCALabelGroupUK,” the British singer-songwriter tweeted on Monday (January 16, 2017).

The Sony Music Entertainment imprint is also home to artists including Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Zayn Malik, Paloma Faith, Chloe Black, Rebecca Ferguson, G-Eazy, Billie Marten, Laura Mvula, Martin Garrix, and The Chainsmokers.
