Liza Owen teams with Cedric Gervais on new single “Somebody New”

British singer/songwriter Liza Owen has teamed up with French DJ and house music producer Cedric Gervais for his new single “Somebody New,” now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Owen alongside Asia Whiteacre, whose other credits include Hey Violet’s “O.D.D.,” Astrid S’s “Breathe,” Hailee Steinfeld’s “Most Girls,” and Sophie & The Bom Boms’ “Creme De La Creme.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Owen is expected to release her upcoming debut project – featuring the Goldfingers-produced “Better with Me” and Ali Tamposi & Robopop-assisted “Don’t Call Me Baby” – later this year via Lava Records and Republic Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly delivers further productions from Knighstarr, Digital Farm Animals, Youthonix, Maestro the Baker, Benny Cassette, Mick Schultz, Luke Fitton, Sam Sumser, and Mac & Phil.

On the songwriting front, Owen has worked with Rachel Furner, Danny Parker, Ilsey Juber, Jesse St. John, Shungudzo Kuyimba, Ed Drewett, Chloe Angelides, Brian Lee, Sarah Hudson, Philip Plested, Negin Djafari, Levi Lennox, Eyelar Mirzazadeh, JHart, Tayla Parx, Andrew Watt, and Lauren Aquilina.

Rudimental announce details for new single

Rudimental have announced the details for their new single.

The British drum and bass band – composed of Kesi Dryden, Amir Amor, Piers Agget, and DJ Locksmith – have christened “Sun Comes Up” as the first promotional cut from their upcoming third album and will release it on June 30 via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

The James Arthur-featuring track was co-written by Cass Lowe, whose other credits include Snakehips’ “Don’t Leave,” Blonde’s “All Cried Out,” Sinead Harnett’s “Anywhere But Here,” Cheryl’s “Coming Up for Air,” Shola Ama’s “Boyfriend,” Fifth Harmony’s “Scared of Lonely,” AlunaGeorge’s “I Remember,” Felix Jaehn’s “Hot2Touch,” Niia Bertino’s “Girl Like Me,” Kwabs’ “Make You Mine,” Gabrielle Aplin’s “The House We Never Built,” and Hey Violet’s “Pure.”

Lowe has also contributed to the next projects by Ray BLK, Sam Smith, Ella Henderson, Stanaj, Paloma Faith, Alex Aiono, Leona Lewis, Zak Abel, Anne-Marie, Astrid S, David Guetta, Kenzie May, DAGNY, KStewart, Nick Jonas, Kiah Victoria, and MØ.

Meanwhile, Rudimental are expected to drop the follow-up to 2015’s “We the Generation” later this year via Major Tom’s Music in partnership with Asylum Records (UK) and Atlantic Records (US).

The still-untitled collection reportedly boasts further contributions from Sam Romans, Grace Barker, Jonny “Ghostwriter” Harris, Rachel “RAYE” Keen, Evan “Kidd” Bogart, Cara Salimando, James Newman, Arrow Benjamin, Jim Eliot, Andrew Jackson, and Camille “Kamille” Purcell.

British singer, songwriter, and record producer Josh Record has released his new promotional single online.

“Do” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Among the artists Record has previously wrote and / or produced songs for are Ella Henderson (“Yours”), MNEK (“More than a Miracle”), LP (“Muddy Waters”), Pixie Geldof (“Poison Apple”), Jorja Smith (“Broken”), Jones (“Hoops”), Dua Lipa (“Blame”) and Anne-Marie (“Stole”).

HAIM draft Ariel Recthshaid, Rostam Batmanglij for new single “Little of Your Love”

American rock band HAIM – consisting of sisters Este Haim (bass), Danielle Haim (guitars and lead vocals), and Alana Haim (guitars and keyboards) – have released their new promotional single online.

“Little of Your Love” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by regular collaborator Ariel Rechtshaid, who is also responsible for Adele’s “When We Were Young,” Carly Rae Jepsen’s “All That,” Kelela’s “Rewind,” Charli XCX’s “Stay Away,” Madonna’s “Living for Love,” Sky Ferreira’s “You’re Not the One,” and Usher’s “Climax.”

Production duties on “Little of Your Love” were collectively handled by Rechtshaid alongside Rostam Batmanglij, whose other credits include Solange’s “F.U.B.U.,” Frank Ocean’s “Ivy,” Santigold’s “Big Boss Big Time Business,” Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Warm Blood,” and Charli XCX’s “Need Ur Love.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, HAIM will release their upcoming sophomore album “Something to Tell You” – featuring previous promotional singles “Want You Back” and “Right Now” – will arrive on July 7th via Polydor Records (UK) and Columbia Records (US).

Blonde drafts Astrid S for new single “Just for One Night”

English deep house production duo Blonde – composed of Jacob Manson and Adam Englefield – have unleashed their new single online.

“Just for One Night” – featuring guest vocals from Norwegian singer/songwriter Astrid S – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Rachel Keen, professionally known as RAYE, who previously teamed up with Blonde on the Alex Newell-featuring “All Cried Out,” which peaked to number four on the UK Singles Chart.

Production duties on “Just for One Night” were collectively handled by Blonde alongside Hitimpulse, who are also responsible for Kygo & Ellie Goulding’s “First Time,” Alma’s “Chasing Highs,” Doctor’s “Only You,” and Felix Jaehn’s “Bonfire.”

Blonde’s upcoming project is expected to arrive later this year via FFRR Records in partnership with Warner Music Group’s imprint Parlophone Records.
