Kali Uchis drafts Jorja Smith for new single “Tyrant”

Colombian-American singer-songwriter Karly Loaiza, known professionally as Kali Uchis, has liberated her new promotional single online.

“Tyrant” – featuring guest vocals from fellow recording artist Jorja Smith – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Uchis and Smith co-wrote “Tyrant” alongside the song’s producers Mark “Sounwave” Spears (Kendrick Lamar, Raleigh Ritchie), Jairus Mozee (Faith Evans, Jill Scott) and Larrance Dopson (Ty Dolla Sign, Lupe Fiasco).

Uchis’ upcoming debut album, on the other hand, is expected to arrive later this year Universal Music Group / Virgin EMI Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts additional alliances with Linda Perry (Pink, Christina Aguilera), Sam Romans (AlunaGeorge, Clean Bandit), Autumn Rowe (Dua Lipa, Leona Lewis), Devonte Hynes (Blondie, Sky Ferreira), Illangelo (RAYE, The Weeknd) and Billy Walsh (Camila Cabello, Alicia Keys).

Camila Cabello releases new single “I Have Questions”

Camila Cabello has released her new single online.

“I Have Questions” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Cabello alongside fellow recording artist Bibi Bourelly, whose other credits include Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money,” Selena Gomez’s “Camouflage,” and Usher’s “Need U.”

Production duties on “I Have Questions” were handled by Jesse Shatkin, who is also responsible for Sia’s “Chandelier,” Kylie Minogue’s “Kiss Me Once,” Rihanna’s “Sledgehammer,” Brooke Candy’s “Living Out Loud,” Foxes’ “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now,” and One Direction’s “Perfect.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Cabello is scheduled to drop her debut album “The Hurting, the Healing, the Loving” – featuring previous single “Cyring in the Club” – later this year via Syco Music / Epic Records.

The highly-anticipated collection boasts further songwriting contributions from Sia Furler (Britney Spears), Charli XCX (RAYE), Noonie Bao (Dua Lipa), Sasha Sloan (Anne-Marie), Madison Love (Jason Derulo), Savan Kotecha (Ariana Grande), Rickard Goransson (Nick Jonas) and Billy Walsh (Alicia Keys).

Album producers include Pharrell Williams (Ciara), Benny Blanco (Ed Sheeran), Ryan Tedder (Kesha), Happy Perez (Frank Ocean), Cashmere Cat (Halsey), Andrew “Pop” Wansel (Chris Brown), Frank Dukes (Lorde), Max Martin (Katy Perry), Ilya Salmanzadeh (Skip Marley) and Stargate (Tiwa Savage).

Sinead Harnett reunites with GRADES for new single “Still Miss You”

Sinead Harnett has confirmed the details for her new single.

The British singer/songwriter christened “Still Miss You” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming project and will release it on May 26 via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Production duties on “Still Miss You” were handled by GRADES, who previously teamed up with Harnett on “If You Let Me.”

Other notable credits by the electronic dance music record producer, born Daniel Traynor, include Tinie Tempah’s “Text from Your Ex,” Khalid’s “Winter,” Tove Lo’s “Lies in the Dark,” WENS’ “Bleed,” Tom Aspaul’s “Never Complaining,” Aanysa’s “Burn Break Crash,” and Fantasia’s “Wait for You.”

Meanwhile, Harnett is expected to release her next collection – featuring further alliances with Daniel “Utters” Radclyffe, Marlon Roudette, Christian “Crada” Kalla, Ed Thomas, and Rollo Armstrong – later this year.

American singer/songwriter Bebe Rexha has liberated her new single online.

“The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody)” – featuring Lil Wayne – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Rexha alongside Jacob “JKash” Kasher (Charlie Puth, Selena Gomez) and Clarence Coffee Jr. (Dua Lipa, Ella Henderson).

Production duties on “The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody)” were handled by Jonas Jeberg (Ella Eyre, Rachel Platten) and Joel Little (Lorde, Ruth Berhe).

Rexha’s upcoming project, which serves as the follow-up to “All Your Fault: Pt. 1,” is expected to arrive later this year via Warner Brothers Records.

Katy Perry joins forces with Nicki Minaj for new single “Swish Swish”

American singer/songwriter Katheryn Hudson, professionally known as Katy Perry, has released her new promotional single online.

“Swish Swish” – which was produced by Duke Dumont alongside Noah “Mailbox” Passovoy and PJ “PromNite” Sledge – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The Nicki Minaj-featuring track was also co-written by Sarah Hudson (Dua Lipa, Charli XCX) and Brittany “Starrah” Hazzard (Rihanna, Halsey).

In case you didn’t know, “Swish Swish” marks the second collaboration between Minaj and Perry, as the latter co-wrote “Get on Your Knees,” taken from Minaj’s 2014 album “The Pinkprint,” alongside Sarah Hudson, Chloe Angelides, Jacob “JKash” Kasher, Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, and Henry “CIRKUT” Walter.

Perry’s upcoming fifth studio collection “Witness,” on the other hand, will arrive on June 9th via Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

The follow-up to 2013’s “Prism” – featuring singles “Chained to the Rhythm” and “Bon Appetit” – delivers further contributions from Max Martin (Tori Kelly), Sia Furler (Camila Cabello), Ali Payami (Ellie Goulding), Ferras Al-Qaisi (Ricky Martin), Shellback (Taylor Swift) and Oscar Holter (Demi Lovato).

Cuban-born American singer/songwriter Camila Cabello has unleashed her debut solo single online.

“Crying in the Club” – which samples Christina Aguilera’s “Genie in a Bottle” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by fellow recording artist Sia, whose other credits include Katy Perry’s “Chained to the Rhythm,” Blondie’s “Best Day Ever,” Kygo’s “Oasis,” Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Boy Problems,” Kelly Clarkson’s “Invincible,” and Katharine McPhee’s “Round Your Little Finger.”

Production duties on “Crying in the Club,” on the other hand, were collectively handled by Benny Blanco (Rihanna, Ed Sheeran), Cashmere Cat (Miguel, Bebe Rexha), Happy Perez (Halsey, Frank Ocean) and Matthew Beckley (Britney Spears, Machine Gun Kelly).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Cabello is scheduled to release her debut album “The Hurting, the Healing, the Loving” later this year via Simon Cowell’s label Syco Music in partnership with Epic Records.

Plan B releases new single “In the Name of Man”

British hip hop recording artist, actor, film director and producer Benjamin Drew, primarily known as Plan B, has released his new single online.

“In the Name of Man” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by Plan B alongside fellow recording artist Foy Vance, whose other credits include Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Odetta,” Ed Sheeran’s “Nancy Mulligan,” Rudimental’s “Never Let You Go,” Miranda Lambert’s “Pushing Time,” and Sawyer Fredericks’ “Bittersweet.”

Production duties on “In the Name of Man” were handled by Plan B alongside Mustafa Omer and James Murray of Mojam Music, who are also responsible for Frances’ “No Matter,” Naughty Boy’s “Should’ve Been Me,” Emeli Sande’s “Hurts,” Tanika Bailey’s “Party Til We Fight,” Gorgon City’s “Imagination,” Sam Smith’s “Like I Can,” and James Arthur’s “Get Down.”

As reported in various media outlets, Plan B’s upcoming third studio collection, which serves as the follow-up to 2010’s “The Defamation of Strickland Banks,” is expected to arrive later this year via Warner Music Group / 679 Recordings.
