Ella Mai teams up with Johnta Austin for new collaboration

Ella Mai has teamed up with Johnta Austin for a new collaboration.

Austin is responsible for co-writing Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together,” Toni Braxton’s “Just Be a Man About It,” Aaliyah’s “Miss You,” Mary J. Blige’s “Be Without You,” Janet Jackson’s “Call on Me,” Fantasia’s “Hood Boy,” Jessica Simpson’s “A Public Affair,” and Melanie Fiona’s “This Time.”

His debut album “Love, Sex & Religion” – featuring productions from Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox, Troy Taylor, J-Kits,  Drumma Boy, Harmony Samuels, Xeryus Gittens, and Troy Oliver – is out now via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Besides featuring on Usher’s latest single “Don’t Waste My Time,” Mai is also scheduled to release her second studio album later this year via DJ Mustard’s label 10 Summers Records in partnership with Interscope Records.

Her self-titled debut studio album debuted at number five on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles “Boo’d Up,” “Naked,” “Trip” and “Shot Clock.”

Ella Mai reveals tracklisting for self-titled debut album

Ella Mai has revealed the tracklisting for her upcoming debut album, which will arrive on October 12 via 10 Summers / Interscope Records.

Current promotional single “Trip” – which was co-written by Varren Wade and collectively produced by DJ Mustard and Quintin Gulledge – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

The self-titled project – which features Chris Brown, John Legend, and H.E.R. – also delivers productions and songwriting contributions from Bryan Michael Cox, Caroline Ailin, Harmony Samuels, Joelle James, Nana Rogues, Trey Campbell, Larrance Dopson, Sam Hook, and Marcos “Kosine” Palacious.

Ella Mai has revealed the artwork and release date for her debut album.

The British singer/songwriter will release the self-titled collection will arrive on October 10 via 10 Summers Records / Interscope Records.

Current promotional single “Trip” – which was co-written by Varren Wade and collectively produced by DJ Mustard and Quinton Gulledge – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

On the highly-anticipated project, Mai has also worked with songwriters and producers Diane Warren, Tre Jean-Marie, Caroline Ailin, Diztortion, Joelle James, Sam Hook, Larrance “Rance” Dopson, and Grades.

Ella Mai has unleashed her new promotional single online.

“Trip” – which was written by Mai alongside Varren Wade and Dijon “DJ Mustard” McFarlane – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Mai’s debut album – featuring previous singles “Naked” and “Boo’d Up” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via DJ Mustard’s label 10 Summers Records in partnership with Interscope Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly yields additional productions and songwriting contributions from Diane Warren, Tre Jean-Marie, Daniel “Grades” Traynor, Caroline Ailin, and Raoul “Diztortion” Chen.

Diane Warren teases new collaboration with Ella Mai

Diane Warren has teased a new collaboration with Ella Mai.

“With amazing new artist @ellamai and her adorable dog friend in the studio last nite creating something epic!!,” the legendary songwriter posted to Instagram.

Warren’s extensive resume boasts works with Toni Braxton (“Unbreak My Heart”), Whitney Houston (“I Learned from the Best”), LeAnn Rimes (“How Do I Live?”), Monica (“For You, I Will”), Christina Aguilera (“I Turn to You”), Brandy (“Have You Ever”) and Lady Gaga (“Til It Happens To You”).

Meanwhile, Mai is expected to release her debut album – featuring contributions from Grades, Caroline Ailin, Tre Jean-Marie, and Diztortion – later this year via DJ Mustard’s label 10 Summers Records in partnership with Interscope Records.

Warren has also contributed to the next projects by Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Stanaj, Kelly Rowland, Yebba Smith, Lukas Graham, Ally Brooke, Seinabo Sey, Max George, Louisa Johnson, Antigoni Buxton, and Ben Platt.

The visual clip for “Boo’d Up” was posted the British singer/songwriter’s Vevo channel on Thursday (April 26, 2018).

Produced by DJ Mustard and co-written by Joelle James and Larrance Dopson; the track is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Mai’s debut album – featuring further contributions from Diztortion, Caroline Ailin, Tre Jean-Marie, and Grades – is scheduled to arrive later this year via DJ Mustard’s 10 Summers Records in partnership with Interscope Records.

The visual clip for “Naked” was posted to the British singer/songwriter’s Vevo channel on Thursday (February 15, 2018).

Co-written by Samuel “Sam Hook” Jean and produced by Dijon “DJ Mustard” McFarlane; “Naked” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Mai’s upcoming project and follow-up to 2017’s “Ready” is expected to arrive later this year via 10 Summers Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly boasts additional alliances with Diztortion (Rihanna, Sean Paul), Tre Jean-Marie (Craig David, Dionne Bromfield), Grades (Alina Baraz, Jessie Ware) and Caroline Ailin (Dua Lipa, Zara Larsson).
