The Weeknd premieres “False Alarm” music video

The Weeknd has premiered the music video for his new single online.

The Canadian singer-songwriter – real name Abel Tesfaye – posted the visual clip for “False Alarm” to his Vevo channel on Thursday (October 13, 2016).

“False Alarm” is now available for download via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was also co-written by The Weeknd alongside Ahmad “Belly” Balshe, Doc McKinney, Emanuel Nickerson, Henry “Cirkut” Walter and Benjamin “Ben Billion$” Diehl.

As mentioned in earlier posts, The Weeknd’s third studio collection “Starboy” is scheduled to arrive on November 25 via XO / Republic Records.

The keenly-awaited project follows 2015’s “Beauty Behind the Madness,” which debuted topped the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Can’t Feel My Face,” “In the Night” and “The Hills.”

“False Alarm” – which serves as the follow-up to previous single “Starboy” – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

The track was co-written by The Weeknd – real name Abel Tesfaye – alongside Ahmad “Belly” Balshe, Doc McKinney, Emanuel Nickerson, Henry “Cirkut” Walter and Benjamin “Ben Billion$” Diehl.

As mentioned in earlier posts, The Weeknd’s upcoming third studio collection “Starboy” is scheduled to hit stores and online outlets on November 25 via XO / Republic Records.

The Canadian singer-songwriter christened “False Alarm” as the second promotional cut from his upcoming third album “Starboy” and will release it on September 30 via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

As mentioned in earlier posts, “Starboy” – featuring productions from Daft Punk, Doc McKinney and Cirkut – is scheduled to arrive on November 25 via XO in partnership with Republic Records.

The keenly-awaited project follows 2015’s “Beauty Behind the Madness,” which debuted topped the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Can’t Feel My Face,” “In the Night” and “The Hills.”

On the songwriting front, The Weeknd – real name Abel Tesfaye – co-penned tracks for fellow recording artists including Drake (“Crew Love”), Ariana Grande (“Love Me Harder”), Disclosure (“Nocturnal”), Rihanna (“Woo”), Wiz Khalifa (“Remember You”) and Beyonce (“6 Inch”).

The Canadian singer-songwriter posted the Grant Singer-directed clip for “Starboy” to his Vevo channel on Wednesday (September 28, 2016).

Production duties on “Starboy” were handled by French electronic music duo Daft Punk alongside Doc McKinney and Cirkut.

The track also marks the first promotional cut from The Weeknd’s upcoming album, “Starboy,” which will arrive on November 25 via XO / Republic Records.

The Weeknd’s previous studio collection, 2015’s “Beauty Behind the Madness,” debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Can’t Feel My Face,” “In the Night” and “The Hills.”

The Weeknd reunites with Stephan Moccio for third album

The Weeknd has started work on his upcoming third album.

Production on the still-untitled project is headed by Canadian hitmaker Stephan Moccio, who previously teamed up with The Weeknd on “Earned It,” which peaked to number three on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

Moccio’s extensive resume includes further works with Celine Dion (“A New Day Has Come”), Miley Cyrus (“Wrecking Ball”), Skylar Grey (“I Know You”), Ne-Yo (“Ballerina”), and Seal (“Daylight Saving”).

The Oscar-nominated songwriter and record producer also contributed to the next projects by Jordan Smith [Lightworks Media / Republic Records], Jessie Ware [PMR / Island Records] and Shawn Mendes [Island Records].

The Weeknd’s latest studio collection, 2015’s “Beauty Behind the Madness,” debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned hit singles including “Can’t Feel My Face,” “The Hills” and “In the Night.”

That project also yielded collaborations with Max Martin (Adele), Ali Payami (Taylor Swift), Kanye West (Sia), Mike Dean (Madonna), Savan Kotecha (Usher), Peter Svensson (Ellie Goulding), Da Heala (Rick Ross), and Illangelo (Drake).

Rihanna releases new album “Anti”

Rihanna has released her eighth album online.

“Anti” – featuring appearances from Drake and SZA – is now streaming exclusively on Tidal for one week, and a deluxe version of the album with three bonus tracks will be made available on January 29th.

Lead single “Work” was co-written by Jahron “PartyNextDoor” Brathwaite and produced by Matthew “Boi-1da” Samuels, Allen Ritter, and Sevn Thomas.

Other songwriters backing Rihanna on the follow-up to 2012’s “Unapologetic” are James Fauntleroy (Leona Lewis), Bibi Bourelly (Usher), Jean Baptiste Kouame (Madonna), The-Dream (Santigold), and The Weeknd (Ariana Grande).

On the production front, “Anti” boasts contributions from Shea Taylor (Sia), Jeff Bhasker (Beyonce), Mick Schultz (Zendaya), Hit-Boy (Brandy), DJ Mustard (Tinashe), Fred Ball (Jessie Ware), and Brian Kennedy (Fantasia).

The Weeknd has premiered the music video for his new single online.

The Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer posted the visual clip for “In the Night” to his Vevo channel on Tuesday (December 08, 2015).

“In the Night” was co-written by Ahmad “Belly” Balshe along with Savan Kotecha (Usher, Tori Kelly), Ali Payami (Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift), Peter Svensson (Avril Lavigne, Carly Rae Jepsen) and Max Martin (Adele, Britney Spears).

Video treatment was handled by Alex Lee and Kyle Wightman of BRTHR, who are also behind Jessie Ware’s “Tough Love” [Island], MS MR’s “Think of You” [Columbia] and Iggy Azalia’s “Bounce” [Def Jam].

The Weeknd’s latest album “Beauty Behind the Madness” – featuring previous singles “Tell Your Friends,” “The Hills,” “Earned It” and “Can’t Feel My Face” – is now available for download via XO / Republic Records.
