Alessia Cara premieres “Wild Things” music video

Alessia Cara has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The Canadian singer-songwriter-guitarist posted the Aaron A-directed clip for “Wild Things” to her Vevo channel on Monday (March 07, 2016).

“Wild Things” was co-written by Sebastian Kole (Flo Rida, Jennifer Lopez) and Thabiso “Tab” Nkhereanye (Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige).

Production duties were handled by James “Malay” Ho, who also worked with Frank Ocean (“Lost”), Alicia Keys (“One Thing”), Tori Kelly (“Talk”), John Legend (“Green Light”) and Zayn Malik (“It’s You”).

Cara’s first studio collection “Know-It-All” – featuring previous single “Here” – is now available for download via Def Jam Recordings.

Other album contributors include Warren Felder (K. Michelle, Chris Brown), Andrew Wansel (Usher, Ariana Grande), Fredrik “Fredro” Odesjo (Christina Milian, Sebastian Guy) and Alan Nglish (Ginny Blackmore, Livvi Franc).

Alessia Cara has announced the details for her new single.

The Canadian singer/songwriter christened “Wild Things” as the second promotional cut from her debut album, “Know-It-All,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Def Jam Recordings.

“Wild Things” was co-written by Sebastian Kole (Flo Rida, Jennifer Lopez) and Thabiso “Tab” Nkhereanye (Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige).

Production duties were handled by James “Malay” Ho, whose other credits include Alicia Keys’ “One Thing” [RCA], Frank Ocean’s “Lost” [Def Jam], Tori Kelly’s “Talk” [Capitol], and John Legend’s “Green Light” [Columbia].

Commercial performance-wise, “Know-It-All” – featuring previous single “Here” – debuted at number nine on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

That collection also delivered alliances with Warren Felder (Kehlani, Chris Brown), Andrew Wansel (Usher, K. Michelle), Fredrik “Fredro” Odesjo (Christina Milian, Koda Kumi), and Alan Nglish (Ginny Blackmore, CeeLo Green).

Alessia Cara has revealed the tracklist for her upcoming debut album.

“Know-It-All” will hit stores and digital outlets on November 13 through Universal Music Group imprint Def Jam Recordings.

Lead single “Here” – which was co-written and co-produced by Sebastian Kole – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets. The track peaked to number twenty three on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

Ginny Blackmore teams with Al Shux for new single “Under My Feet”

Ginny Blackmore has announced the details for her new single.

The New Zealand singer/songwriter christened “Under My Feet” as the next promotional cut from her upcoming debut album “Over the Moon.”

“Under My Feet” was written by Blackmore along with Al Shux, who’s also behind Lianne La Havas’ “What You Don’t Do” [Nonesuch], Kwabs’ “Saved” [Atlantic] and Ella Henderson’s “Mirror Man” [Syco Music].

The track will also be available for download from October 9 through iTunes in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Blackmore has penned songs for Christina Aguilera (“Sing My Song”), Nicole Scherzinger (“Get ‘Em Ready for It”), Adam Lambert (“By The Rules”) and Katharine McPhee (“Love Strikes”).

Her first studio collection “Over the Moon” boasts further alliances with Aeon “Step” Manahan (Alexandra Burke, Stan Walker), Alan Nglish (Taio Cruz, CeeLo Green) and Rob Wells (Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber).

Ginny Blackmore has unwrapped the artwork for her upcoming debut album.

The New Zealand singer/songwriter is scheduled to release “Over the Moon” later this year through Sony Music Entertainment.

Blackmore wrote the album with record producers Aeon “Step” Manahan (Stan Walker, Alexandra Burke), Alan Nglish (CeeLo Green, Andreya Triana), Al Shux (Alicia Keys, Elle Varner) and Rob Wells (Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez).

On the songwriting front, the “Bones” star has penned songs for Christina Aguilera [RCA], Pixie Lott [Virgin EMI], Adam Lambert [Warner Bros], Katharine McPhee [eOne Music] and Nicole Scherzinger [TBA].

Her extensive resume includes further works with musicians such as Future Cut, Dapo Tormiro, Celetia Martin, Kevin Randolph, Iain James, Mojam, Lucas Secon, Freddy Wexler, Maiday, Jonathan Lipsey, and Ben Harrison.

Alessia Cara has released her debut EP online.

“Four Pink Walls” – featuring lead single “Here” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Def Jam Recordings.

In addition to “Here,” the mini-collection delivers four new cuts in the shape of “Seventeen,” “Outlaws” and “I’m Yours” and “Four Pink Walls.”

On the songwriting and production front, Cara has teamed up with Sebastian Kole (Flo Rida, Jennifer Lopez), Alan Nglish (CeeLo Green, Taio Cruz), Kuya Productions (Nicole Scherzinger, Jesse McCartney), Warren “Oak” Felder (Alicia Keys, Chris Brown) and Andrew “Pop” Wansel (Little Mix, Trey Songz).

It is also worth mentioning that the above mentioned songs will also be included on Cara’s forthcoming debut album, tentatively entitled “Know it All.” The highly-anticipated project is slated to hit stores in 2016.

Melanie Fiona drops music video for new single “Bite the Bullet”

Melanie Fiona has dropped the music video for her new single online.

The Canadian singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Bite the Bullet” to her Vevo channel Thursday (August 20, 2015).

“Bite the Bullet” – now available for download via iTunes – was co-written by BMG recording artist Midian along with Ryan Toby (Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige) and Andre Harris (Jill Scott, Mariah Carey).

The track also marks the first promotional cut from Fiona’s upcoming third album, “Awake,” slated to hit stores later this year through Title 9 Productions in partnership with Primary Wave Music and BMG Rights Management.

Other songwriters and producers backing Fiona on the follow-up to 2012’s “The MF Life” are Jack Splash (Alicia Keys, Keyshia Cole), Andrea Martin (Jess Glynne, Ella Eyre) and Alan Nglish (Andreya Triana, CeeLo Green).

Andreya Triana has debuted her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Playing with Fire” to her official YouTube channel on Friday (August 21, 2015).

“Playing with Fire” was written by Triana along with Carl Ryden (Nabiha, The Saturdays) and Marc Nelkin (Kesha, Corinne Bailey Rae).

Triana’s sophomore album “Giants” – featuring previous promotional cuts “That’s Alright with Me,” “Song for a Friend” and “Everything You Never Had” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Counter Records.

That collection also boasts contributions from Matthew “Aqualung” Hales (Sara Bareilles, Jason Mraz), Dee Adam (Ria Ritchie, Alexandra Burke), Paul O’Duffy (Ella Eyre, Marlon Roudette) and Alan Nglish (Livvi Franc, CeeLo Green).

Leah McFall hits the studio with Alan Nglish

Leah McFall has recorded new material with Alan Nglish.

It is yet to be to known whether the session was intended for another artist or McFall’s upcoming debut album.

Nglish recently co-wrote and produced “Song for a Friend” by Andreya Triana. The track appears on the British singer/songwriter’s sophomore album, “Giants,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Counter Records.

His other credits include CeeLo Green’s “Old Fashioned” [Roadrunner / Warner Bros Records], Livvi Franc’s “This is a Raid” [Jive / RCA Records] and Taio Cruz’s “Telling the World” [Island Records].

Meanwhile, McFall is expected to release her first studio collection later this year under Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

Lead single “Home” – which was helmed by will.i.am along with Jean Baptiste Kouame, Michael McHenry and Ryan “DJ Replay” Buendia – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

On the songwriting front, McFall has contributed to the upcoming fifth album by fellow artist Leona Lewis. The collection entitled “I Am” will hit stores later this year under Island Records (UK) and Def Jam Recordings (UK).
