John Legend reveals new album “Darkness and Light” tracklist

John Legend has revealed the tracklisting for his upcoming album.

The singer-songwriter – real name John Stephens – will release “Darkness and Light” on December 2 via GOOD Music / Columbia Records.

Lead single “Love Me Now” – which was produced by Blake Mills and John Henry Ryan – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Other musicians backing Legend on “Love and Darkness” are James “Malay” Ho (Sam Smith, Zayn Malik), Greg Kurstin (Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson) and Tobias Jesso Jr. (Adele, Jarryd James).

The follow-up to 2013’s “Love in the Future” reportedly boasts further alliances with Joel Compass, Alex Da Kid, Sean Garrett, Jonathan Rotem, Hayley Warner, Andrew Jackson, Stephan Moccio, Sam Romans, and Maty Noyes.

The singer/songwriter will release “Darkness and Light” on December 2 via Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

Lead single “Love Me Now” – which was produced by Blake Mills and John Henry Ryan – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2013’s “Love in the Future” also features guest appearances from Chance the Rapper, Miguel, American Music Prize-winning sax star Kwasmi Washington, and Brittany Howard from Alabama Shakes.

On the songwriting and production front, Legend has reportedly enlisted Malay, Joel Compass, Sean Garrett, Jonathan Rotem, Andrew Jackson, Sam Romans, Alex Da Kid, RoccStar, Hayley Warner, and Stephan Moccio.

John Legend has announced the details for his new single online.

The singer-songwriter christened “Love Me Now” as the first promotional cut from his upcoming fifth album and will release it on October 7  via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Legend’s previous studio collection under Columbia Records, 2013’s “Love in the Future,” debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “All of Me” and “You & I (Nobody in the World).”

For the keenly-awaited new album, Legend has reportedly teamed with producers Malay (Sam Smith), Jonathan Rotem (Rihanna), Alex Da Kid (Nicki Minaj), RoccStar (Prince Royce) and Stephan Moccio (The Weeknd).

Album songwriters, on the other hand, include Hayley Warner (Tamera Foster), Andrew Jackson (Erik Hassle), Sean “The Pen” Garrett (Beyonce), Joel Compass (FKA twigs) and Sam Romans (Craig David).

Skylar Grey has announced the details for her upcoming album.

The singer-songwriter – real name Holly Hafermann – christened her next studio collection “Natural Causes” and will release it on September 23 via KIDinaKORNER / Interscope Records.

Among the musicians backing Grey on “Natural Causes” are Alex Da Kid (Rihanna), Mark Batson (Alicia Keys), Jayson DeZuzio (Raleigh Ritchie), Symbolyc One (Madonna), and Mike Elizondo (Natasha Bedingfield).

Grey’s previous studio collection, 2013’s “Don’t Look Down,” peaked to number eight on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Final Warning” and “Wear Me Out.”

She also collaborated with hitmakers Stephan Moccio and Jason Evigan on the tracks “I Know You” and “Wreak Havoc,” taken from the original motion picture soundtracks “50 Shades of Grey” and “Suicide Squad,” respectively.

On the songwriting front, Grey co-wrote “Gangsta” for Atlantic recording artist Kehlani along with Jeremy “JMike” Coleman, Andrew “Djemba Djemba” Swanson, Jacob Luttrell, and Jason Evigan.

Britney Spears has unleashed her new single online.

The singer-songwriter posted the audio clip for “Make Me” – feautring G-Eazy – to her Vevo channel on Thursday (July 14, 2016).

“Make Me” – now available for download via iTunes – was co-written by Joe Janiak (Adam Lambert, Ellie Goulding) and the song’s producer BURNS (Charli XCX, Louisa Johnson).

As mentioned in earlier, Spears is scheduled to release her ninth studio collection later this year through Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The follow-up to 2013’s “Britney Jean” reportedly delivers additional productions from Jason Evigan, DJ Mustard, Ian Kirkpatrick, Nick Monson, Christopher “CJ” Baran, Alex Da Kid, and Robopop.

On the songwriting front, Spears has teamed up with Julia Michaels, Carla Marie Williams, Simon Wilcox, Chantal Kreviazuk, Isley Juber, Phoebe Ryan, Mischke Butler, Justin Tranter, Breyan Isaac, and Matthew Koma.

Britney Spears registers new song title “Man on the Moon”

Britney Spears has registered a new song title with ASCAP – The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

“Man on the Moon” was written by Columbia recording artist Phoebe Ryan along with Ilsey Juber (Beyonce), Sterling Fox (Adam Lambert), Marcos Lomax (Fifth Harmony) and Jason Evigan (Jon Bellion).

The track is slotted for inclusion on Spears’ upcoming ninth album and follow-up to 2013’s “Britney Jean,” which peaked to number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles “Work Bitch” and “Perfume.”

For the still-untitled project, Spears also teamed up with Ian Kirkpatrick, Simon Wilcox, DJ Mustard, Chantal Kreviazuk, Alex Da Kid, Justin Tranter, CJ Baran, Nick Monson, Julia Michaels, Robopop, and Carla Marie Williams.

Current single “Make Me” – available for download from May 20 via iTunes – was co-written by Mischke Butler (Tinashe Austin Mahone) and produced by BURNS (Charli XCX, Louisa Johnson).

John Legend has drafted the songwriting and production services of Hayley Warner and Jonathan Rotem for his upcoming fifth album.

Warner is known for co-writing Tori Kelly’s “Hollow” [Capitol], Tina Arena’s “I Want to Love You” [EMI] and Samantha Jade’s “Castle” [Sony Music].

Meanwhile, recent production credits by Rotem include Who is Fancy’s “Boys Like You” f/ Meghan Trainor & Ariana Grande [Republic], Gwen Stefani’s “Used to Love You” [Interscope] and Fifth Harmony’s “Like Mariah” [Epic].

As mentioned in earlier posted, Legend is scheduled to release the follow-up to 2013’s “Love in the Future” next year through Columbia Records.

The still-untitled LP reportedly features additional alliances with Malay (Zayn Malik), Sam Romans (Mary J. Blige), Alex Da Kid (Rihanna), RoccStar (Usher), Sean Garrett (Beyonce) and Joel Compass (Seal).

John Legend has enlisted Joel Compass for his upcoming album.

“So blessed! Had the pleasure of producing/writing with the coolest guy doing it right now @JohnLegend,” Compass posted to his Twitter account.

On the songwriting and production front, Compass is known for his work with FKA twigs (“Time”), Laura Welsh (“Soft Control”), Lion Babe (“Impossible”), M.O (“Preach”), Seal (“Monascow”) and Tinashe (“Fire and Flames”).

As a singer, his promotional cuts “Run,” “Forgive Me” and “Girlfriends” are now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Polydor Records and Amanda Ghost’s Outsiders Recorded Music Limited.

Meanwhile, Legend is scheduled to release his fifth studio collection and follow-up to 2013’s “Love in the Future” next year through Columbia Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts additional alliances with Malay (Frank Ocean), Alex Da Kid (Rihanna), RoccStar (CeeLo Green), Sean Garrett (Jamie Foxx) and Sam Romans (Mary J. Blige).
