Monica teams up with Akon for new song “Hustler’s Ambition”

Monica has debuted a new song online.

The singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Hustler’s Ambition” – featuring Akon – to her Vevo channel on Wednesday (November 25, 2015).

Production duties on “Hustler’s Ambition” were handled by DJ Dahi, whose other credits include Madonna’s “Beautiful Scars” [Interscope], Tinashe’s “Bet’ [RCA] and Kelela’s “All the Way Down” [Cherry Coffee].

As mentioned in earlier posts, Monica is scheduled to release her eighth studio collection “Code Red” on December 18 through RCA Records.

Lead single “Just Right for Me” – now available for download via iTunes – was co-written by Jocelyn “Jo’zzy” Donald (Zendaya, Chris Brown) and produced by Polow Da Don (Tamia, Jamie Foxx).

Other album contributors include Timbaland (Aaliyah), Johnta Austin (Ciara), Bryan Michael Cox (Faith Evans), Jermaine Dupri (Alicia Keys), Tami LaTrell (Keyshia Cole), Danja (K. Michelle) and Keri Hilson (Mary J. Blige).

Sean Paul reveals credits for new album ‘Full Frequency’

Sean Paul has revealed the songwriting credits for his upcoming album.

The Jamaican dancehall artist is scheduled to release “Full Frequency” on February 18 via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

Lead single “Other Side of Love” was written by Sean Paul along with Benjamin “Benny Blanco” Levin and Niles “Cyrano” Hollowell-Dhar (aka The Cataracs).

The follow-up to 2012’s “Tomahawk Technique” boasts further songwriting contributions from Ester Dean (Candice Glover, Trey Songz), Wayne Hector (Kylie Minogue, James Blunt) and Giorgio Tuinfort (Rihanna, David Guetta).

On the production front, Sean Paul has teamed up with Toby Gad (Robin Thicke, John Legend), Stargate (Brandy, Janet Jackson), Fernando Garibay (Lady GaGa, Enrique Iglesias) and Polow Da Don (Ciara, Nicole Scherzinger).

Salaam Remi has unveiled the music video for his new single online.

“One in the Chamber” – which features Akon – marks the first promotional single from the musician’s debut album, “One: in the Chamber.”

In addition to Akon, the Grammy-nominated LP boasts further appearances from Jordin Sparks [RCA Records], Ne-Yo [Motown Records], Corinne Bailey Rae [Capitol Records] and Estelle [New London Records].

Fans of Remi’s production work should look out for the next albums by Jennifer Hudson [RCA Records], Ella Henderson [Syco Music], Stacy Barthe [Motown Records] and Jazmine Sullivan [RCA Records].

Brit Smith has premiered the music video for her new single.

“Provocative (hiDhi)” – which features will.i.am – marks the first promotional single from the British singer/songwriter’s upcoming as-yet-untitled debut album with Universal Music Group / Interscope Records.

The track was produced by Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley, whose recent credits include Justin Timberlake (“Take Back the Night”), Robin Thicke (“Take It East On Me”) and Cher (“I Don’t Have to Sleep to Dream”).

He also worked on the next albums by Beyonce [Columbia Records], Kylie Minogue [Parlophone Records], Jennifer Hudson [RCA Records], Priyanka Chopra [Interscope Records] and Kat Dahlia [Epic Records].

Brit Smith was a member of pop duo Brit & Alex, commonly known for their 2008 hit single “Let It Go.” When the group disbanded, Brit returned to the music scene in 2010 under the alias Matisse and released breakout single “Better Than Her,” which featured vocals from Senegalese star Akon.

Akon has premiered the music video for his new single online.

“So Blue” marks the first promotional single from the artist’s upcoming studio album, “Stadium,” out soon via Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

The track was co-written by Claude Kelly, whose recent credits include “Thunder” by Jessie J [Republic Records], “I Blame You” by Ledisi [Verve Music Group] and “Beautiful Surprise” by Tamia [EMI Records].

Production duties were handled by Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis and Arden “Keyz” Altino, who have also teamed up with the likes of Estelle (“Thank You”), Ashanti (“The Woman You Love”), Miguel (“Do You”) and Keri Hilson (“All the Boys”).

Akon’s last studio album, 2008’s “Freedom,” debuted at number seven on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart. It also yielded four singles in the shape of “Right Now (Na Na Na),” “I’m So Paid,” “Beautiful” and “We Don’t Care.”

Sean Paul delays release date for new album ‘Full Frequency’

Sean Paul has delayed the release of his upcoming sixth studio album.

Originally scheduled to hit music outlets on November 4, “Full Frequency” will now be available on February 4 via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The new collection serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Tomahawk Technique,” which yielded hit singles including “Got 2 Luv U (featuring Alexis Jordan)” and “How Deep is Your Love (featuring Kelly Rowland).”

Among the artists contributing to “Full Frequency” are Akon (“Lights On”), Nyla (“Pornstar”), Nicki Minaj (“Entertainment”), Konshens (“Want Dem All”), Iggy Azalea (“Wickedest Style”) and Prince Royce (“Dangerous Ground”).

Production duties were handled by Toby Gad (John Legend, Robin Thicke), Benny Blanco (Katy Perry, Mike Posner), The Cataracs (Selena Gomez, Enrique Iglesias) and Young Yonny (Justin Bieber, Elijah Blake).

Salaam Remi has unveiled a new song online.

“Chocolate Brown Eyes” is taken from the legendary music producer’s debut album, “One: In the Chamber,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment.

The track features vocals from Jordan Sparks, who is currently working on her upcoming as-yet-untitled third studio album, out soon via RCA Records.

She also co-wrote Ariana Grande’s hit single “The Way” along with Sevyn Streeter, Al Sherrod Lambert and Harmony “H-Money” Samuels.

“One: In the Chamber” boasts further contributions from Estelle [New London Records], Corinne Bailey Rae [Capitol Records] and Akon [Republic Records].

The super producer uploaded “Makin’ It Hard for Me” – which features Corinne Bailey Rae – to his official SoundCloud page on Tuesday (September 17, 2013).

The track will be included on Remi’s upcoming album, “One: In the Chamber,” out soon via Sony Masterworks / Sony Music Entertainment.

Other artists confirmed on the album are Estelle [New London Records], Akon [Republic Records] and Ne-Yo [Compound Entertainment / Motown Records].

Remi also contributed to the next projects by Ella Henderson [Syco Music], Jordin Sparks [RCA Records], Stacy Barthe [Motown Records], James Arthur [Syco Music], Kat Dahlia [Epic Records] and Jennifer Hudson [RCA Records].
