Charlie Puth confirms title for sophomore album

Charlie Puth has confirmed the title for his upcoming sophomore album.

The American singer, songwriter, and record producer – born Charles Otto Puth Jr. – christened his second studio collection “VoiceNotes” and will release it later this year via Artist Partner Group / Atlantic Records.

Current single “Attention” – which was written by Puth alongside regular collaborator Jacob “JKash” Kasher – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2016’s “Nine Track Mind” reportedly delivers further songwriting contributions from Ross Golan (Jasmine Thompson), Ammar Malik (Ed Sheeran), Breyan Isaac (Britney Spears), Eskeerdo (Alex Aiono), Sean Douglas (Madonna), Ilsey Juber (Lykke Li) and Babyface (Alicia Keys).

Among the producers expected to appear on the highly-anticipated project are Johan Carlsson (Ariana Grande), Toby Gad (Prince Royce), Jason Evigan (Rachel Platten), CIRKUT (The Weeknd), Rami Yacoub (Demi Lovato), JRY (Nick Jonas), Pharrell Williams (Ariana Grande) and AMMO (Halsey).

Allie X liberates debut album “COLLXTION II”

Canadian singer/songwriter Alexandra Hughes, professionally known as Allie X, has liberated her debut album online.

“COLLXTION II” – featuring singles “Paper Love” and “Need You” – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

The album boasts songwriting contributions from Brett “Leland” McLaughlin (Kat Graham), Nathaniel “Nate” Campany (Carly Rae Jepsen), Trey Campbell (Ella Henderson), Clarence Coffee Jr. (Bebe Rexha) and Troye Sivan (Kacy Hill).

On the production front, Allie X has worked with Christopher Braide (Jessie Reyez), Matthieu “Billboard” Jomphe (Madonna), Joshua “AMMO” Coleman (Halsey), Oliver “Oligee” Goldstein (Jessie J), Allan “Kool Kojak” Grigg (Sean Paul) and Henry “CIRKUT” Walter (Trey Songz).

Fifth Harmony announce details for new single

Fifth Harmony have announced the details for their new single.

The American pop quartet – composed of Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui – christened “Down” as the first promotional cut from their upcoming third album and will release it on June 2 via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Claire “Jude” Demorest alongside Joshua “Ammo” Coleman and Dallas Koehlke, who previously teamed up with Fifth Harmony on the Ty Dolla Sign-assisted “Work from Home,” which peaked to number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

As mentioned in earlier posts, the follow-up to 2016’s “7/27” is scheduled to arrive later this year via Syco Music and Epic Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers further songwriting contributions from Dayo Olatunji (Jason Derulo), Akil “Forever Fresh” King (Iggy Azalea), Carmen Reece (Pia Mia), Verse Simmonds (K. Michelle), Candy Shields (Brave Williams), Sebastian Kole (Alessia Cara), Tayla Parx (Alicia Keys), Marlin “Hookman” Bonds (Zendaya) and Koko LaRoo (Jake Miller).

Among the producers expected to appear on the album are Jason Evigan (Selena Gomez), Digital Farm Animals (Rita Ora), Shama Joseph (Rihanna), Fredro (Jessie Reyez), Happy Perez (Miguel), Vincent Berry (Mary J. Blige), Gian Stone (Nick Jonas), and The Monsters & Strangerz (Bebe Rexha).

Halsey liberates new single “Eyes Closed”

American singer/songwriter Ashley Frangipane, professionally known as Halsey, has released her new promotional single online.

“Eyes Closed” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Halsey alongside Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, whose other credits include Beyonce’s “6 Inch,” Rihanna’s “Woo,” Lana Del Rey’s “Lust for Life,” Ariana Grande’s “Love Me Harder,” and Drake’s “Crew Love.”

Production duties on “Eyes Closed” were handled by Benjamin “Benny Blanco” Levin (Ciara, Ed Sheeran), Magnus “Cashmere Cat” Hoiberg (Kacy Hill, Jhene Aiko) and Nathan “Happy” Perez (Miguel, Frank Ocean).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Halsey’s upcoming sophomore studio collection “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom” – featuring previous single “Now or Never” – will arrive on June 2 via Astralwerks / Capitol Records.

Current single “Now or Never” – which was co-written by Starrah and collectively produced by Benny Blanco, Happy Perez, and Cashmere Cat – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2015’s “Badlands” delivers additional alliances with Lido (Ariana Grande), Christopher Braide (Lana Del Rey), Sia Furler (Labrinth), Ricky Reed (Kesha), Dan Wilson (Noah Cyrus), Greg Kurstin (Beyonce), Justin Tranter (Selena Gomez), Rogét Chahayed (Kendrick Lamar), The Weeknd (Rihanna) and AMMO (Jason Derulo).

Puth wrote “Attention” alongside Jacob Kasher Hindlin, professionally known as JKash, who previously teamed up with the artist on “Does it Feel,” “I Won’t Tell a Soul” and the Selena Gomez-featuring “We Don’t Talk Anymore.”

Other notable credits by JKash include Maroon 5’s “Cold,” Bebe Rexha’s “I Got You,” Zara Larsson’s “So Good,” Carly Rae Jepsen’s “I Really Like You,” Trey Songz’s “Priceless,” Jason Derulo’s “Swalla,” and Meghan Trainor’s “No.”

American singer, songwriter, and record producer Charlie Puth has reunited with Ross Golan and Johan Carlsson for a new collaboration.

The songwriting and production duo previously teamed with Puth on “Then There’s You,” taken from the artist’s debut album, 2016’s “Nine Track Mind.”

Other notable credits by Golan and Carlsson include Colbie Caillat’s “Live it Up,” Little Mix’s “You Gotta Not,” Jason Derulo’s “Painkiller,” Meghan Trainor’s “Hopeless Romantic,” Gavin DeGraw’s “Fire,” Michael Buble’s “Today is Yesterday’s Tomorrow,” One Direction’s “If I Could Fly,” Flo Rida’s “My House,” and Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman.”

Meanwhile, Puth is expected to release his sophomore studio collection later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The follow-up to “One Track Mind” reportedly delivers productions from Pharrell Williams (Nelly Furtado), Toby Gad (Madonna), Jason Evigan (Fifth Harmony), Cirkut (The Weeknd), Rami Yacoub (Enrique Iglesias), John Henry Ryan (John Legend) and Ammo (Beyonce).
