Taya drafts Eyelar Mirzazadeh, Alan Sampson for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Taylor Fowlis, known mononymously as Taya, has drafted Eyelar Mirzazadeh and Alan Sampson for a new collaboration.

Eyelar, who previously teamed up with Taya on the Toddla T-produced “Got Me Wondering” and Jonny Coffer-assisted “Here with Me,” is known for co-penning Charli XCX’s “After the Afterparty,” Diztortion’s “I’ll Be There,” Yellow Claw’s “Drowning in Champagne,” and Little Mix’s “Is Your Love Enough?”

Sampson, who also collaborated with Taya on the Anita Blay-penned “Skin,” is responsible for co-writing and / or co-producing Jay Sean’s “Ride It,” Alesha Dixon’s “Every Little Part of Me,” Zayn Malik’s “She,” Rita Ora’s “Kiss Me,” and Craig David’s “Louder Than Words.”

Meanwhile, Taya’s current promotional single “When Ur Sober” – which was written by Emma Davidson-Dillon alongside Wayne Hector and Arnthor Birgisson – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Her self-titled mini-album features additional alliances with Diztortion (Rihanna), Mark Ralph (Era Istrefi), Nicola Roberts (Tinashe), Felix Snow (Selena Gomez), Al Shux (Plan B), Karen Poole (Lily Allen), Tom Havelock (Sinead Harnett), Jonas Jeberg (Ella Eyre) and Anjulie Persaud (Cassie).

Taya unleashes new promotional single “When Ur Sober”

British singer/songwriter Taylor Ann Fowlis, known mononymously as Taya, has unleashed her new promotional single online.

“When Ur Sober” – featuring Yxng Bane – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Boasting co-production duties from Diztortion (Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson) and Mark Ralph (Amber Mark, Zara Larsson); “Sober” was co-written by Wayne Hector (Anne-Marie, Jess Glynne), Arnthor Birgisson (RAYE, Enrique Iglesias) and Emma Davidson-Dillon (Jasmine Thompson, Zac Samuel).

Taya’s upcoming debut mini-album – featuring previous singles “Deeper,” “Got Me Wondering” and “Sweet Waste of Time” – is scheduled to arrive on September 1st via Atlantic Records UK.

Other producers backing Taya on the self-titled project are George Reid (Raleigh Ritchie), Felix Snow (Katy Perry), Jonas Jeberg (Chris Brown) and Alexander “Al Shux” Shuckburgh (Lianne La Havas).

On the songwriting front, Taya has worked with Karen Poole (Dua Lipa), Eyelar Mirzazadeh (Tinashe), Anjulie Persaud (Nicki Minaj), Tom Havelock (Sinead Harnett) and Jean Baptiste Kouame (Mabel McVey).

Lea Michele has delivered her new album online.

“Places” – featuring singles “Love is Alive,” “Anything’s Possible,” “Run to You” and “Getaway Car” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2014’s “Louder” delivers songwriting contributions from Ali Tamposi, Ellie Goulding, Allie X, Julia Michaels, Chantal Kreviazuk, Fransisca Hall, Anjulie Persaud, Ruth-Anne Cunningham, Chloe Angelides, MoZella, Dana Parish, Alexandra Savior, Wrabel, Tim Myers, and Michael Fitzpatrick.

Lion Babe have premiered the music video for their new single online.

The experimental soul duo posted the Luke Gilford-directed clip for “Where Do We Go” to their Vevo channel on Sunday (January 31, 2016).

“Where Do We Go” was co-written by group members Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman along with Anjulie Persaud (Kelly Clarkson, Madison Beer) and Robin Hannibal (Laura Welsh, Erik Hassle).

Production duties were handled by Mark Ralph, who is also responsible for AlunaGeorge’s “I’m in Control” [Island], Foxes’ “Wicked Love” [RCA], and Clean Bandit’s “Extraordinary” f/ Sharna Bass [Atlantic].

As mentioned in earlier posts, Lion Babe’s first studio collection “Begin” – featuring previous singles “Treat Me Like Fire,” “Jump Hi,” and “Impossible” – will hit stores on February 5 via Outsiders Record Music / Polydor Records.

Other album contributors include Amanda Ghost (Beyonce), Jeff Bhasker (Alicia Keys), Pharrell Williams (Kelly Rowland), Makeba Riddick (Toni Braxton), Dave Sitek (Kelis), Andrew Wyatt (Bruno Mars), and Joel Compass (FKA twigs).

Kelly Clarkson has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Piece By Piece” to her Vevo channel on Thursday (November 19, 2015).

“Piece By Piece” was produced by regular collaborator Greg Kurstin, whose recent credits include Adele’s “Hello” [Columbia], Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Boy Problems” [Interscope] and John Newman’s “Come and Get It” [Island].

Meanwhile, Clarkson latest album “Piece By Piece” – featuring previous singles “Invincible” and “Heartbeat Song” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

Commercial performance-wise, the follow-up to 2013’s “Wrapped in Red” debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

It also boasts alliances with Bonnie McKee (Adam Lambert), Kelly Sheehan (Beyonce), Justin Tranter (Pia Mia), Kara DioGuardi (Hilary Duff), Anjulie Persaud (Madison Beer) and Julia Michaels (Demi Lovato).

Madison Beer announces new single “All for Love”

Madison Beer has announced the title of her new single.

The singer/songwriter christened “All for Love” as the next promotional cut from her upcoming debut album under Island Records.

“All for Love” – featuring Jack & Jack – was helmed by Chloe Angelides (Jessie J, Nicki Minaj), LunchMoney Lewis (Ciara, Fifth Harmony), Jeff Halavacs (Selena Gomez, Jesse McCartney) and Matt Beckley (Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Beer’s first studio collection – featuring previous singles “Melodies” and “Unbreakable” – will be released later this year.

The still-untitled LP reportedly boasts further songwriting contributions from Lindy Robbins (Nicole Scherzinger), Julia Michaels (Rita Ora), Ina Wroldsen (Demi Lovato), Anjulie (Kelly Clarkson) and Taylor Parks (Jason Derulo).

On the production front, Beer has teamed up with Tricky Stewart (Usher), Dem Jointz (Rihanna), The-Dream (Beyonce), Motesart (Sia), TMS (Labrinth), Jason Evigan (Madonna), Mitch Allan (Zendaya) and Toby Gad (Alicia Keys).

Rihanna recruits Sam Smith for new album?

Sam Smith has hinted at a new collaboration with Rihanna.

“I’m personally very excited for Rihanna’s album. I know some stuff about that record that no-one knows” the British singer/songwriter stated in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Smith – real name Samuel Frederick Smith – recently co-wrote four songs on Mary J. Blige’s latest CD, “The London Sessions.” The songs in question are “Right Now,” “Nobody But You,” “Therapy” and “Not Loving You.”

His debut album “In the Lonely Hour” is now available for download via PMR Records and Capitol Records. The platinum-selling project includes singles “Money on My Mind,” “Stay with Me” and “I’m Not the Only One.”

Meanwhile, Rihanna’s next studio collection will be released later this year via Roc Nation in partnership with SRP Records.

The highly-anticipated project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Unapologetic,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Other songwriters previously linked to the new album, tentatively entitled “R8,” are Natalia Kills, Elijah Blake, Kiesza, James Fauntleroy, Emeli Sande, Charli XCX, Ne-Yo, Anjulie Persaud, Kelly Sheehan, and Ester Dean.

On the production front, Rihanna has reportedly teamed with Stargate, Naughty Boy, DJ Mustard, Alex Da Kid, Jeff Bhasker, Glass John, and Tiago Carvalho.
