Cashmere Cat reveals release date for new album “9”

Cashmere Cat has revealed the release date for his upcoming debut album.

The Norwegian DJ and record producer – born Magnus Hoiberg – will release “9” on April 28 via Mad Love Records and Interscope Records.

Current promotional single “9 (After Coachella)” – featuring Danish singer/songwriter MØ – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Other artists backing Cashmere Cat on “9” are Jhene Aiko (“Please Don’t Go”), Camila Cabello (“Love Invincible”), Selena Gomez (“Trust Nobody”), Ty Dolla $ign (“Infinite Stripes”), Ariana Grande (“Quit”), The Weeknd (“Wild Love”), Kacy Hill (“Europa Pools”) and Kehlani (“Night Night”).

The highly-anticipated project also boasts productions and songwriting contributions from Benny Blanco (Halsey), Cathy Dennis (Britney Spears), SOPHIE (Charli XCX), Frank Dukes (Lorde), Starrah (Nicki Minaj), Evian Christ (Tinashe) and Rock City (Keri Hilson).

Cashmere Cat has revealed the title of his upcoming debut album.

The Norwegian DJ, record producer, musician and turntablist – born Magnus Hoiberg – christened his first studio collection “9” and will release it later this year via Mad Love Records and Interscope Records.

Current promotional single “9 (After Coachella)” – featuring Danish singer/songwriter MØ and London-based electronic music producer SOPHIE – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Among the additional tracks slotted for inclusion on “9” are “Love Incredible (f/ Camila Cabello),” “Wild Love (f/ The Weeknd and Francis & the Lights),” “Trust Nobody (f/ Selena Gomez & Tory Lanez),” “Throw Myself a Party (f/ Starrah, 2 Chainz & Tory Lanez),” and “Please Don’t Go (f/ Jhene Aiko).”

On the production front, Cashmere Cat’s resume boasts works with The Weeknd (“True Colors”), Britney Spears (“Just Luv Me”), Travis Scott (“Way Back”), Ariana Grande (“Be My Baby”), Kanye West (“Wolves”), Tinashe (“All Hands on Deck”), Kid Ink (“Body Language”), Ryn Weaver (“OctaHate”), Miguel (“Going to Hell”), Justine Skye (“Save My Soul”) and Gwen Stefani (“Hell Yeah Baby”).

Ariana Grande enlists Pharrell Williams for new album

Ariana Grande has enlisted Pharrell Williams for her upcoming fourth album.

Williams recently produced the original motion picture soundtrack for “Hidden Figures,” which featured guest appearances from Lalah Hathway (“Surrender”), Mary J. Blige (“Mirage”), Alicia Keys (“Apple”) and Janelle Monae (“Jalapeno”).

The American singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, and film producer’s resume boasts further works with Beyonce (“Work it Out”), Toni Braxton (“Hit the Freeway”), Kelly Rowland (“Feet to the Fire”), Frank Ocean (“Pink + White”), Solange (“I Decided”), Ed Sheeran (“Sing”), Kylie Minogue (“I Was Gonna Cancel”), Usher (“Twisted”) and Mariah Carey (“Say Something”).

Meanwhile, Grande is expected to release her next studio collection – featuring additional alliances with Taylor Parks and Tommy Brown – later this year via Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

The still-untitled project follows 2016’s “Dangerous Woman,” which peaked to number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Focus,” “Side to Side,” “Into You” and “Everyday.”

Ariana Grande has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the Chris Marrs Piliero- directed clip for “Everyday” to her YouTube channel on Sunday (February 26, 2017).

The Future-featuring track was co-written by regular collaborator Savan Kotecha, whose recent credits include Skip Marley’s “Lions,” Katy Perry’s “Rise,” The Weeknd’s “Love to Lay,” G-Eazy’s “Saw it Coming,” Sage the Gemini’s “Now and Later,” and Nick Jonas’ “Under You.”

Production duties on “Everyday” were handled by Ilya Salmanzadeh (Jennifer Lopez, Ellie Goulding) and Max Martin (Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera).

As mentioned in various media outlets, Grande is currently working on her upcoming fourth studio collection under Republic Records.

Ariana Grande has reunited with Taylor Parks for her upcoming album.

In case you didn’t know, Parks previously co-wrote “My Everything” for Grande alongside Victoria Monet and the song’s producer Tommy Brown.

Other notable songwriting credits by Parks include Meghan Trainor’s “Better,” Alicia Keys’ “In Common,” Jojo’s “Fuck Apologies,” Mariah Carey’s “Infinity,” Keyshia Cole’s “Rick James,” and Fifth Harmony’s “Boss.”

Meanwhile, Grande is expected to release her fourth studio collection later this year via Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

The singer-songwriter-actress posted the visual clip for “Into You” to her Vevo channel on Monday (May 23, 2016).

“Into You” was co-written by Savan Kotecha (Usher, Tori Kelly), Alexander Kronlund (Ella Eyre, Fifth Harmony), Ilya Salmanzadeh (Natalie La Rose, Jennifer Lopez) and Max Martin (Adele, Taylor Swift).

Video treatment was handled by Hannah Lux Davis, who previously worked with the likes of Meghan Trainor (“Me Too”), Rachel Platten (“Better Place”), Hailee Steinfeld (“Love Myself”) and Demi Lovato (“Cool for the Summer”).
