Snoh Aalegra premieres music video for new single “Whoa”

Snoh Aalegra has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The visual clip for “Whoa” was posted to the Swedish singer/songwriter’s YouTube channel on Friday (13 December 2020).

Production duties on “Whoa” were handled by D’Mile, whose other credits include The Carters’ “Boss,” LeToya Luckett’s “I’m Ready,” Usher’s “Mind of a Man,” H.E.R.’s “Could’ve Been,” Lucky Daye’s “Buying Time,” Victoria Monet’s “Ass Like That,” and Mary J. Blige’s “In the Morning.”

Aalegra’s debut studio album “Ugh, Those Feels Again” – featuring previous singles “I Want You Around,” “Find Someone Like You” and “Situationship” – is now available via Apple Music and all other digital streaming outlets.

The album boasts additional productions and songwriting contributions from NO ID, Harold Lilly, Marcus James, Jonah Christian, Matthew Burnett, Riley Bell, Johan Lenox, Maneesh, Joel Compass, Doctor O, Nes, Rob Holladay, Cam O’bi, Dee Lilly, Luke James, and Steve Wyreman of Cocaine 80s.

Jaz Karis releases debut EP “Summer Stories”

British singer/songwriter Jasmine Winifred, known professionally as Jaz Karis, has released her debut EP online.

“Summer Stories” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Besides lead singles “The Waiting Line” and “Summer Story,” the mini-collection also features four new songs in the shape of “Bad Memories,” “Come Around,” “Owe U” and “Unwritten Rules.”

On the songwriting and production front, Karis has worked with Richard “P2J” Isong (Beyonce, Justine Skye), Ariowa “Ari PenSmith” Irosogie (Snoh Aalegra, Chris Brown) and Linden Jay (Ritual, Lion Babe).

Jaz Karis releases new single “Summer Story”

British singer/songwriter Jasmine Winifred, known professionally as Jaz Karis, has released her new single online.

“Summer Story” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by Karis alongside Ariowa “Ari PenSmith” Irosogie and Richard “P2J” Isong, who previously teamed up with the artist on “Secrets,” taken from Justine Skye’s latest project, “Bare With Me.”

“Summer Story” also marks the first promotional cut from Karis’ upcoming EP, for which a title and release date is yet to be announced.

Justine Skye releases new “Bare With Me” EP

Justine Skye has released her new EP online.

“Bare With Me” – featuring six new songs including “Too Much,” “Secrets,” “Bulletproof,” “Fav” and “When You’re Ready” – is now available via Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Lead single “Maybe” was produced by Andrew “Dre Skull” Hershey (Santigold, Mabel McVey) and written by Skye alongside Josh Werner and Fai Khadra.

Other EP contributors include fellow recording artists Dyo and Jaz Karis as well as producers/songwriters P2J (Mario, Sinead Harnett), Ari PenSmith (Snoh Aalegra, Chris Brown), James Fauntleroy (Rihanna, Justin Timberlake), Hit-Boy (Bebe Rexha, Craig David) and The Rascals (Kehlani, Arin Ray).

“Situationship” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by Aalegra alongside Ari PenSmith (Sinead Harnett, Lily Allen) and Nathaniel J. Warner (Mahalia, Wretch 32).

Production duties on “Situationship” were handled by P2J (real name Richard Isong), who is also responsible for Beyonce’s “Brown Skin Girl,” Tanika’s “No Man is An Island,” Chris Brown’s “Covered In You,” Tiwa Savage’s “Hold Me Down,” and Mario’s “Mirror.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Aalegra’s upcoming debut album, tentatively entitled “Ugh, those feels again,” featuring previous single “Find Someone Like You,” is expected to arrive on August 16 via Artium Recordings.

The highly-anticipated project boasts further contributions from Joel Compass (Tinashe, FKA twigs), George Moore (Kwabs, Paloma Faith), Jonah Christian (Normani, Anderson Paak) and Kurtis McKenzie (Khalid, Lauren Jauregui).
