Fleur East taps Grace Tither for sophomore album

Fleur East has tapped the songwriting services of Grace Tither for her upcoming sophomore album under Simon Cowell’s label Syco Music.

The British songstress’s credits include Zara Larsson’s “Secret,” Ella Eyre’s “Easy Go,” Brandon Beal’s “Cashflow,” Nabiha’s “Eleven Eleven,” Christian Amby’s “One More Time,” and Kato & Sigala’s “Show You Love.”

Tither’s resume boasts further works with producers Ki “KiFi” Fitzgerland, Tre Jean-Marie, Bhavik “Knightstarr” Pattani, James Flannigan, Mich “Cutfather” Hansen, Kasper Larsen, Josh Wilkinson, Duck Blackwell, Paul Harris, Michael Angelo, and Jez Ashurst.

The follow-up to 2015’s “Love, Sax and Flashbacks,” on the other hand, is expected to arrive later this yea via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers additional songwriting contributions from Maegan Cottone, Dayo Olatunji, Tayla Parx, Fiona Bevan, Chiara Hunter, Hannah Wilson, Lauren Aquilina, Jessica Morgan, Sam Romans, Jacob Attwooll, Bryn Christopher, JHart, Talay Riley, BullySongs, and Philip Plested.

Among the producers expected to appear on the album are Goldfingers, Tre Jean-Marie, Laconic, DJ Freedo, PRGRSHN, Ryden Carl, M-Phazes, Nana Rouges, Mojam Music, Red Triangle, TMS, and Mac & Phil.

Fleur East hits the studio with Mac & Phil

Fleur East has added Mac & Phil to the list of contributors for her upcoming sophomore album.

The British duo – composed of Matthew Holmes and Philip Leigh – recently co-produced “Bloodstream” for The Chainsmokers and co-wrote it with regular collaborator Philip Plested and Columbia recording artist Phoebe Ryan.

Mac & Phil also helmed seven songs on Scottish singer/songwriter Emeli Sande’s second album, 2016’s “Long Live the Angels,” including “Hurts,” “Give Me Something,” “Right Now,” “Lonely” and “Happen.”

Meanwhile, East is expected to release her sophomore studio collection later this year via Simon Cowell’s Sony Music imprint Syco Music.

Other musicians expected to appear on the follow-up to 2015’s “Love, Sax & Flashbacks” are Mojam Music (Sam Smith), Leland (Rachel Platten), DJ Freedo (Little Mix), PRGRSHN (Angel), Laconic (Imani Williams), M-Phazes (Keyshia Cole), Tre Jean-Marie (Bobii Lewis) and Red Triangle (Charlie Puth).

Fans of Mac & Phil’s work, on the other hand, should keep an eye on the next projects by Ava Lily, Tamera Foster, Ella Henderson, Carys Selvey, Etham Basden, Arlene Zelina, Kara Marni, Liza Owen, Melissa Steel, Taya, Mahalia Burkmar, Becky Hill, DAKOTA, Mali-Koa, and James Morrison.

Fleur East has teamed up with Red Triangle for a new collaboration.

The British songwriting and production team – comprising of Rick Parkhouse and George Tizzard – recently helmed four songs on James Arthur’s latest album “Back from the Edge” including “The Truth,” “Phoenix” and “Skeletons.”

Other notable credits by Red Triangle include Green Day’s “Still Breathing,” Cheryl’s “I Don’t Care,” 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Good Girls,” Ronan Keating’s “Shine Like Gold,” Charlie Puth’s “As You Are,” Alex Newell’s “Shame,” The Vamps’ “One Night,” and Little Sea’s “Cut it Out.”

Meanwhile, East is expected to release her sophomore studio collection later this year via Simon Cowell’s Sony Music imprint Syco Music.

The follow-up to 2015’s “Love, Sax & Flashbacks” reportedly boasts additional productions from Mojam Music (Emeli Sande), Leland (Selena Gomez), DJ Freedo (Shola Ama), PRGRSHN (Samm Henshaw), Laconic (Cover Drive), M-Phazes (Zara Larsson) and Tre Jean-Marie (Craig David).

Melissa Steel writes new music with Shola Ama

Melissa Steel has written new music with fellow artist Shola Ama.

The “Imagine” star recently provided guest vocals on JKAY’s single “Danger,” co-written by Aminata “A*M*E” Kabba, Caroline Ailin, Marvin Humes, and Uzoechi “MNEK” Emenike.

As a songwriter, Ama co-wrote Taya’s “Got Me Wondering” alongside Eyelar Mirzazadeh and the song’s producer Tommy “Toddla T” Bell.

Ama also co-wrote “Good Friends” for UK girl group M.O alongside Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and Gareth “Bless Beats” Keane.

Meanwhile, Steel is expected to release her first studio collection – featuring promotional singles “Kisses for Breakfast” and “You Love Me” – later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly features productions from Diztortion (Ms. Dyanmite), Tre Jean Marie (KAYTRANADA), Michael Angelo (Stanaj), Di Genius (Drake), Jonny Lattimer (Anne-Marie), Knox Brown (Dua Lipa), Moon Willis (Justine Skye), Phil Cook (Birdy) and Laconic (Cover Drive).

Steel also collaborated with songwriters Autumn Rowe (Leona Lewis), Viktoria Hansen (All Saints), Jennifer Decilveo (Diana Gordon), Nicola Roberts (Tinashe), Dayo Olatunji (Fifth Harmony) and Sam Romans (Alicia Keys).

Taya premieres music video for new single “Deeper”

Taya has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter – real name Taylor Fowlis – posted the visual clip for “Deeper” to her YouTube channel on Tuesday (January 17, 2016).

“Deeper” – now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets – was co-written by Tom Havelock alongside the song’s producers Alexander “Al Shux” Shuckburgh, Felix Snow, and Raoul “Diztortion” Chen.

Meanwhile, Taya is expected to release her debut project – featuring previous singles “Fingerprints,” “Sweet Waste of Time” and “Got Me Wondering” – later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly delivers productions from Starsmith, Laconic (Ash Milton & Daniel Goudie), Digital Farm Animals, Electric (Henrik Michelsen & Edvard Erfjord), Parker Ighile, Tre Jean-Marie, and Chris Loco.

On the songwriting front, Taya has worked with Eyelar Mirzazadeh, Ina Wroldsen, Karen Poole, Chiara Hunter, Maiday, Nicola Roberts, Caroline Ailin, Shola Ama, Jin Jin, Laura Dockrill, James Newman, and Jacob Attwooll.

Imani Williams drafts Maegan Cottone, The Family for debut album

Imani Williams has drafted Maegan Cottone, Linnea Deb and Anton Hård af Segerstad for her upcoming debut album.

Cottone is known for her songwriting credits with Ferras (“Closer”), Little Mix (“Move”), Britney Spears (“Pretty Girls”), Olly Murs (“Up”), Fleur East (“Know Your Name”) and Medina (“Good Enough”).

Meanwhile, Deb and Hård af Segerstad are part of the Swedish songwriting / production team “The Family” together with Joy Deb. They previously worked with the likes of Jojo (“Save My Soul”) and Fifth Harmony (“Top Down”).

Williams, on the other hand, is expected to release her first studio collection in 2017 via Sony Music Entertainment UK.

Current single “Don’t Need No Money” – featuring Sigala and Blonde – is now available for download via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Among the additional songwriters backing Williams on her debut album are Becky Hill (KStewart), Natasha Bedingfield (Brandy), Ayak Thiik (The Vamps), Chelcee Grimes (Kesha) and Ali Tennant (Jessie J).

Fleur East has recorded new music with Mojam and Talay Riley.

“2 in the 2 with these talented Mofo’s @FleurEast & @TalayRiley,” Mojam posted to their Instagram account on Wednesday (October 12, 2016).

The British songwriting and production duo – composed of Mustafa Omer and James Murray – recently helmed “Hurts” for Emeli Sande alongside Matthew Holmes and Philip Leigh.

Meanwhile, Riley’s songwriting resume boasts works with Wilkinson (“Afterglow”), Dua Lapa (“Last Dance”), Nick Jonas (“Levels”), Kelela (“All the Way Down”) and Clams Casino (“A Breath Away”).

East, on the other hand, is expected to release her sophomore studio collection next year via Simon Cowell’s Sony imprint Syco Music.

The follow-up to 2015’s “Love, Sax & Flashbacks” reportedly boasts further productions from M-Phazes, Freedo, Leland, Tre Jean-Marie, and Laconic.
