Kah-Lo teams with Jin Jin, Laconic for new single “Exit Sign”

Nigerian singer/songwriter Faridah Seriki, known professionally as Kah-Lo, has dropped her new single online.

“Exit Sign” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett, whose other credits include Jax Jones’ “You Don’t Know Me,” Raye’s “Love Me Again,” Craig David’s “When You Know What Love Is,” Jess Glynne’s “Hold My Hand,” Madison Beer’s “Home With You,” and Elderbrook’s “How Do You.”

Production duties on “Exit Sign” were handled by Ash Milton and Dan Goudie of Laconic, who are also responsible for Hamzaa’s “Unlucky,” Earl St. Claire’s “Repeat,” John De Sohn’s “I Got Eyes,” Kamauu’s “Absinthe,” Maad’s “New Religion,” and Tom Grennan’s “Lighting Matches.”

KahLo’s upcoming project – which reportedly features additional contributions from Mustafa Omer and James Murray of Mojam – is expected to arrive later this year via Lagos Way Records / eOne Music.

Izzy Bizu hits the studio with Zak Abel, Fred Cox for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Isobel Beardshaw, known professionally as Izzy Bizu, has teamed up with Zak Abel and Fred Cox for a new collaboration.

Besides releasing his debut album “Only When We’re Naked” in 2017 via Atlantic Records UK, Abel is also known for co-writing Paloma Faith’s “I’ll Be Gentle” and Why Don’t We & Macklemore’s “I Don’t Belong In This Club.”

Meanwhile, Cox’s production resume boasts works with Grace Carter (“Heal Me”), Olivia Nelson (“Back When”), Caitlyn Scarlett (“Back When”), Rag’n’Bone Man (“Grace”), Kiah Victoria (“Treat Me”), Denai Moore (“Leave It Up To You”), Chloe Howl (“Comfortably Me”) and Tanika (“Fuck Boy”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Bizu is currently working on her upcoming sophomore album under Sony Music Entertainment UK Limited.

The follow-up to 2016’s “A Moment of Madness” reportedly features additional alliances with Ian Barter, Lucy “Pawws” Taylor, Diane Warren, Plested, Fiona Bevan, Kane “KIN” Parfitt, Kelli Leigh, Troy Miller, and Laconic.

Joy Crookes teams up with Jafaris for new single “Early”

British singer/songwriter Joy Crookes has teamed up with fellow recording artist Jafaris for her new single “Early,” which is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Early” were handled by Jay Mooncie, whose other credits include Dermot Kennedy’s “Outnumbered,” Mullally’s “She Don’t Know Me,” Dua Lipa’s “I’m Free,” and Col3trane’s “The Fruits” (with DJDS and Raye).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Crookes is currently working on her upcoming project under Speakerbox Recordings / Insanity Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly features additional productions and songwriting contributions from Laconic, Hannah Yadi, Kasper Larsen, Negin Djafari, Shea Taylor, and Future Cut.

British singer/songwriter Cassandra-Malika Hamza, known mononymously as Hamzaa, has delivered her new EP online.

“Phases” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The highly-anticipated collection features five songs in the shape of “Sunday Morning,” “Home,” “Hard to Love,” “Unlucky” and “Someday.”

Among the musicians backing Hamzaa on “Phases” are Grades (Kelis, Zara Larsson), Dayyon Alexander (Tamera, Dua Lipa), Rykeyz (Fantasia, Pia Mia), Levi Lennox (Anne-Marie, Zayn Malik) and Laconic (Joy Crookes, Olivia Holt).

Ella Eyre has shared her new single online.

“Mama” – featuring Banx & Ranx and Kiana Lede – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Eyre and Lede alongside Dyo (Lauren Jauregui, Zara Larsson), Shakka (Kamille, Sean Paul), Zacharie Raymond (Jason Derulo, Craig David) and Yannick Rastogi (Dua Lipa, Stefflon Don).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Eyre’s upcoming sophomore album, which serves as the follow-up to 2015’s “Feline,” is expected to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Island Records UK.

The still-untitled project reportedly features additional songwriting contributions from Linnea Sodahl, Grace Barker, Caroline Ailin, Natt Dunn, Jin Jin, Chiara Hunter, Sarah Aarons, and Caitlyn Scarlett.

On the production front, Eyre has teamed up with Lostboy, Jay Weathers, Tre Jean-Marie, Laconic, Andrew Wells, DannyBoyStyles, Hitimpulse, Di Genius, Moon Willis, Jordan Riley, Elof Loelv, Mojam, and Invisible Men.

Joy Crookes has teamed up with Shea Taylor for a new collaboration.

The American record producer and songwriter is known for her helming Beyonce’s “Love On Top,” Mariah Carey’s “A No No,” Frank Ocean’s “Thinkin’ Bout You,” Ne-Yo’s “Lazy Love,” K. Michelle’s “Love ‘Em All,” Nicole Scherzinger’s “Happily Never After,” and Bridget Kelly’s “Street Dreaming.”

Taylor’s extensive resume boasts additional works with Rihanna (“James Joint”), Lianne La Havas (“Midnight”), Daley (“Blame the World”), Rita Ora (“Uneasy”), Janet Jackson (“Discipline”), Solange (“Told You So”), Brooke Candy (“Pop Rock”) and Paula DeAnda (“When It Was Me”).

Hamzaa has confirmed the details for her new EP.

The British singer/songwriter (born Cassandra-Malika Hamza) has christened her second mini-collection “Phases” and will release it on August 9th via Warner Music Group / Parlophone Records.

The highly-anticipated project – featuring five songs in the shape of “Sunday Morning,” “Home,” “Hard to Love,” “Unlucky” and “Someday” – delivers productions and songwriting contributions from Grades, Dayyon Alexander, Rykeyz, Levi Lennox, Britten Newbill, Dan Parry, and Laconic.

Hamzaa’s current promotional single “London” – which was co-written and produced by Ollie Green – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.
