Treasure Davis debuts new single “Heart Flavored Sucker”

Treasure Davis has shared her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Heart Flavored Sucker” to her Vevo channel on Tuesday (May 26, 2015).

Production duties on “Sucker” were handled by Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge, whose other credits include Chris Brown’s “Autumn Leaves” [RCA], K. Michelle’s “Love ‘Em All” [Atlantic] and Kandace Springs’ “Love Got in the Way” [Capitol].

The Luke Christopher-assisted track is also lifted from the Davis’ upcoming mini-album, “Heart Flavored Summer,” out soon via iTunes in partnership with ByStorm Entertainment  and RCA Records.

Other musicians backing Davis on “Heart Flavored Summer” are Warren Felder (Usher, Jennifer Lopez), Andrew Wansel (Miguel, Alicia Keys), Steve Mostyn (Tamia, Emeli Sande) and Ronald Colson (Brandy, Wiz Khalifa).

Avery Wilson drafts Kirby Lauryen, Rodney Jerkins for new single “If I Have To”

Avery Wilson has announced the title for his debut single.

The singer/songwriter christened “If I Have To” as the first promotional cut from his upcoming debut project.

“If I Have To” was co-written by Kirby Lauryen, whose other credits include Jennifer Lopez’s “Let It Be Me” [Capitol], Ariana Grande’s “Break Your Heart Right Back” [Republic] and Rihanna’s “FourFiveSeconds” [Roc Nation].

Production duties were handled by Rodney Jerkins, who is also responsible for Mariah Carey’s “You’re Mine (Eternal)” [Def Jam], Leona Lewis’ “Shake You Up” [Syco Music] and Mary J. Blige’s “Doubt” [Capitol].

Wilson’s debut project is scheduled to hit stores and digital outlets later this year under Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The still-untitled collection will feature additional collaborations with Sean “The Pen” Garrett, Alonzo “Novel” Stevenson, Shama “Sak Pase” Joseph, Harmony Samuels, Carmen Reece, and Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge.

K. Michelle shoots music video for new single “God I Get It”

K. Michelle has filmed a music video for new single “God I Get It.”

The track is lifted from the singer/songwriter’s sophomore album, “Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart,” now available for download via Atlantic Records.

“God I Get It” was written by K. Michelle along with Bianca “Blush” Atterberry. Production duties were handled by Ronnie “Lil Ronnie” Jackson, B.A.M., Phillip Cornish, Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis and Arden “Keyz” Altino.

Other singles included on “Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart” are “Love ‘Em All,” “Maybe I Should Call,” “Something About the Night” and “Hard to Do.”

The follow-up to 2013’s “Rebellious Soul” boasts further productions from Jesse “Corporal” Wilson (Ne-Yo, Celine Dion), Shea Taylor (Rihanna, Janet Jackson), Eric Hudson (Omarion, Chris Brown) and Soundz (Usher, Jasmine V).

In related news, K. Michelle has penned a song for label mate Jojo’s upcoming third album. She also provided guest vocals for Jason Derulo’s fourth studio collection “Everything is 4” [Beluga Heights / Warner Bros. Records].

Kandace Springs works with Carmen Reece for debut album

Kandace Springs has worked with Carmen Reece for her debut album.

Reece is known for co-writing Ariana Grande’s “Almost is Never Enough” [Republic Records], Teyana Taylor’s “Put Your Love On” [Def Jam Recordings] and Michelle Williams’ “Say Yes” f/ Beyonce & Kelly Rowland [eOne Music].

Her resume also includes works for Samantha Jade [Sony Music Entertainment Australia], Melissa Steel [Atlantic Records], Zendaya [Hollywood Records] and Little Mix [Syco Music / Columbia Records].

Meanwhile, Springs’ first studio collection will be released later this year via SRP Records in partnership with Capitol Records and Black Note Records. The still-untitled project is executive produced by Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken.

On the songwriting and production front, the still-untitled project features further contributions from Rodney Jerkins, Andrea Martin, James Poyser, Stacy Barthe, Andre Harris, Dan Wilson, Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge and Jack Splash.

Chris Brown premieres “Autumn Leaves” music video

Chris Brown has premiered a new music video online.

The R&B singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Autumn Leaves” to his official Vevo page on Thursday (January 22, 2015).

“Autumn Leaves” appears on the artist’s latest album, “X,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The Kendrick Lamar-assisted track was co-written by Leon “RoccStar” Youngblood, who previously teamed with Brown on hit single “Fine China.”

Production duties on “Autumn Leaves” were handled by Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge, whose other credits include K. Michelle’s “Love ‘Em All” [Atlantic Records] and Kandace Springs’ “Love Got in the Way” [SRP Records].

In related news, Brown recently completed shooting the music video for the DJ Mustard-produced “Post to Be” with Omarion and Jhene Aiko.

He also features on regular collaborator Sevyn Streeter’s latest single “Don’t Kill the Fun,” which is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Warner Music Group imprint Atlantic Records.

Kandace Springs hits the studio with Dan Wilson

Kandace Springs has recorded new material with Dan Wilson.

“Had an amazing day in the studio with Dan Wilson cutting a dope song, then rehearsed with the band for Kimmel tomorrow!!” the singer, songwriter and pianist tweeted on Wednesday (January 14, 2015).

Wilson is responsible for co-writing and / or producing Adele’s “Someone Like You” [XL Recordings], John Legend’s “You & I (Nobody in the World)” [Columbia Records] and Pink’s “The Great Escape” [RCA Records].

His extensive songwriting and production resume includes further works for Taylor Swift [Big Machine Records], James Blunt [Atlantic Records], Paloma Faith [RCA Records] and James Morrison [Island Records].

Meanwhile, Springs is expected to release her full-length debut album later this year via SRP Records and Blue Note Records.

New York-based songwriting and production duo Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken will serve as the executive producers for the still-untitled project.

Among the musicians backing Springs on the keenly-awaited album are Jack Splash (Solange, Alicia Keys), Stacy Barthe (Rihanna, K. Michelle), Andre Harris (Usher, Melanie Fiona) and Andrea Martin (LeToya Luckett, Ella Eyre).

Her self-titled EP is now available for download via iTunes (US). The mini-collection features singles “Love Got in the Way” and “West Coast,” as well as contributions from Steve Mostyn, Jessyca Wilson, and Brandon Hodge.

K. Michelle has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The R&B singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Maybe I Should Call” to her official YouTube page on Monday (November 17, 2014).

“Maybe I Should Call” – which was produced by Eric Hudson and Andrew “Hit Drew” Clifton – is now available for download via iTunes (US).

The track appears on K. Michelle’s sophomore album, “Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart,” out in the United States on December 9 via Atlantic Records.
