MØ releases new promotional single “Imaginary Friend”

Danish singer/songwriter Karen Ørsted, professionally known as MØ, has released her new promotional single online.

“Imaginary Friend” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Noonie Bao alongside Billy Walsh and Illangelo, who are also responsible for Post Malone’s “I Fall Apart,” Alicia Keys’ “In Common,” Majid Jordan’s “Something About You,” and Emeli Sande’s “Starlight.”

MØ’s upcoming sophomore album “Forever Neverland” – featuring previous singles “Nostalgia,” “Sun in Our Eyes” and “Way Down” – is scheduled to arrive on October 19 via Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

The highly-anticipated project boasts further songwriting contributions from Ilsey Juber, Jozzy, Cara Salimando, Alexandra “Shungudzo” Govere, Sarah Aarons, Madison Love, Jaramye Daniels, and Charli XCX.

On the production front, MØ has worked with Stint, Frank Dukes, Scribz Riley, John Hill, Diplo, King Henry, Hudson Mohawke, What So Not, James Flannigan, MantraBeats, and Stargate.

Khalid liberates new promotional single “Stay”

American singer/songwriter Khalid Donnel Robinson, known mononymously as Khalid, has liberated his new promotional single online.

“Stay” – which appears on the original motion picture soundtrack “Uncle Drew” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Scribz Riley alongside Billy Walsh, who has also worked with Alicia Keys (“In Common”), The Weeknd (“True Colors”), Camila Cabello (“Real Friends”) and Emeli Sande (“Starlight”).

Production duties on “Stay” were handled by Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen of Stargate, whose other credits include Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes,” Daya’s “New,” Majid Jordan’s “Body Talk,” Tinashe’s “Faded Love,” Ne-Yo’s “Push Back,” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Almost Love.”

Khalid’s upcoming sophomore album – featuring productions and songwriting contributions from Sam Romans, Hit-Boy, and Darhyl “DJ” Camper – is expected to arrive later this year via RCA Records.

Lykke Li confirms new album “So Sad So Sexy”

Lykke Li has confirmed the details for her upcoming album.

The Swedish singer/songwriter christened her fourth studio collection “So Sad So Sexy” and will release it on June 8 via LL Recordings / RCA Records.

Current promotional singles “Hard Rain” (produced by Rostam Batmanglij) and “Deep End” (co-written by Ilsey Juber and Stephen “Koz” Kozmeniuk with collective production duties from Jeff Bhasker, Malay, and T-Minus) are now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Lykke Li’s last album, 2014’s “I Never Learn,” peaked to number twenty-nine on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles “No Rest for the Wicked,” “Gunshot” and “Never Gonna Love Again.”

Diana Gordon reunites with Justin Tranter for new collaboration

American singer/songwriter Diana Gordon has reunited with fellow musician Justin Tranter for a new collaboration.

Tranter and Gordon previously co-wrote “Tension” for Fergie alongside the song’s producer Alessandro “Alesso” Lindbald. The track appears on Fergie’s sophomore studio collection, “Double Dutchess,” which peaked to number nineteen on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Tranter’s credits also include Janelle Monae’s “Make Me Feel,” Billy Raffoul’s “Acoustic,” Julia Michaels’ “Are You,” Camila Cabello’s “Into It,” Nick Jonas’ “Home,” Selena Gomez’s “Bad Liar,” and Britney Spears’ “Slumber Party.”

Gordon’s upcoming project – which reportedly features further contributions from Chris Loco and Devonte Hynes – is expected to arrive later this year.

As a songwriter, Gordon recently co-wrote “The Kids Are Alright” for Chloe x Halle alongside Tayla Parx. The track appears on the duo’s debut album of the same name, out now via Parkwood Entertainment / Columbia Records.

Gordon also provided guest vocals on Somewhere Else’s current promotional single “Uh Huh” and co-wrote it with group members Billy Walsh and Carlo “Illangelo” Montagnese.

Charlie Puth drafts Kehlani for new promotional single “Done for Me”

American singer, songwriter, and record producer Charlie Puth has drafted fellow recording artist Kehlani for his new promotional single.

“Done for Me” – which was co-written by Jacob “JKash” Kasher and co-produced by John “JRY” Ryan – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Puth’s sophomore album “Voicenotes” – featuring previous singles “How Long,” “If You Leave Me Now” and “Attention” – is scheduled to arrive on May 11 via APG / Atlantic Records.

The follow-up to 2016’s “Nine Track Mind” reportedly boasts further contributions from Ross Golan, Johan Carlsson, Ammo, Rami Yacoub, Carl Falk, Sean Douglas, Jason Evigan, Billy Walsh, Ian Kirkpatrick, Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder, Ilsey Juber, Eskeerdo, Toby Gad, Pharrell Williams, and Babyface.

“Camila” – featuring promotional singles “Havana,” “Never be the Same” and “Real Friends” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The highly-anticipated project was prominently produced by Frank Dukes, whose resume boasts additional works with Lorde’s “Greenlight,” Zayn Malik’s “Still Got Time,” Nicki Minaj’s “Regret in Your Tears,” Frank Ocean’s “Biking,” Bebe Rexha’s “Comfortable,” and Justine Skye’s “Good Love.”

Kali Uchis announces new promotional single “After the Storm”

Columbian-American singer, songwriter, and record producer Kali Uchis has teamed up with Tyler the Creator and Bootsy Collins for her new promotional single “After the Storm,” out on January 12 via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

As per BMI’s Reportoire, “After the Storm” was co-written by Uchis (real name Karly Loaiza) alongside Chester Hansen, Alexander Sowinski, Matthew Tavares, and Leland Whitty of Canadian music group BadBadNotGood.

Uchis’ upcoming album – featuring previous singles “Tyrant” and “Nuestro Planeta” – is expected to arrive later this year via Virgin EMI Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly boasts further contributions from Linda Perry (Pink, Christina Aguilera), Sam Romans (Alicia Keys, Jess Glynne), Billy Walsh (Raye, Emeli Sande) and Autumn Rowe (Kacy Hill, Dua Lipa).
