Elle Varner reunites with Darhyl “DJ” Camper for new song “The End of the Beginning”

Elle Varner has debuted a new song online.

The singer and songwriter posted the audio clip for “The End of the Beginning” to her SoundCloud channel on Wednesday (May 13, 2015).

Production duties on “The End of the Beginning” were handled by Darhyl “DJ” Camper, who previously teamed with Varner on hit single “Refill.”

Other notable credits by Camper include Tamar Braxton’s “Love and War” [Epic Records], Keyshia Cole’s “Trust and Believe” [Interscope Records] and Nicki Minaj’s “Favorite” f/ Jeremih [Republic Records].

Meanwhile, Varner is expected to release her sophomore album “Four Letter Word” later this year under MBK Entertainment / RCA Records.

The follow-up to 2012’s “Perfectly Imperfect” will be executive-produced by Jeff Robinson, whose also overseeing the careers of Justine Skye [Atlantic], Tiara Thomas [Interscope], Gabi Wilson [RCA] and Daisha [Epic].

On the production front, “Four Letter Word” boasts contributions from Boi-1da (Drake, Kelly Rowland), Hit-Boy (Brandy Frank Ocean), Benny Cassette (Miguel, Sevyn Streeter) and Shama “Sak Pase” Joseph (Rihanna, Alesha Dixon).

Tinashe announces new mixtape “Amethyst”

Tinashe has announced the title for her new mixtape.

The singer/songwriter dubbed her fourth mixtape “Amethyst” and will release it on Monday (March 16, 2015).

“Amethyst” serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Black Water,” which included the Boi-1da produced “Vulnerable” and Devonte Hynes-assisted “Fugitive.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Tinashe is currently recording new material for her upcoming sophomore album under RCA Records.

Her debut studio collection “Aquarius” – featuring hit singles “2 On,” “Pretend” and “All Hands on Deck” – peaked to number 17 on the US Albums Chart.

Lewis Hamilton teams with J Doe, Boi-1da for debut album

Lewis Hamilton has teamed with J Doe and Boi-1da on new material.

The British Formula One driver is currently recording his upcoming debut album and may release the still-untitled project later this year.

On the songwriting front, J Doe – real name James Smith – co-penned songs for Jennifer Lopez (“Acting Like That”), Keyshia Cole (“No Complications”), Sevyn Streeter (“nEXt”), Tank (“You’re My Star”) and Danity Kane (“Damaged”).

Meanwhile, Boi-1da recently produced six songs on Drake’s latest album “If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late” [OVO Sound / Young Money Entertainment / Cash Money Records]. Amongst the tracks in question are “Energy,” “Know Yourself,” “6 God,” “You & the 6” and “6 PM in New York.”

The Canadian hitmaker – born Matthew Samuels – also worked with the likes of Kelly Rowland (“Red Wine”), Tinashe (“Cold Sweat”), Nicole Scherzinger (“Casualty”), Nicki Minaj (“All Things Go”) and Chris Brown (“Party Hard”).

The singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Where Your Man Is” to her official SoundCloud page on Friday (January 23, 2015).

Production duties on “Where Your Man Is” were handled by Shama “Sak Pase” Joseph, who is also co-responsible for Tank’s “Thanking You” [Atlantic], Kid Ink’s “No Miracles” [RCA] and Jennifer Lopez’s “Emotions” [Capitol].

Varner’s sophomore album “Four Letter World” will hit stores and digital outlets later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The follow-up to 2012’s “Perfectly Imperfect” is executive-produced by Jeff Robinson, who’s also overseeing the next projects by Gabi Wilson [RCA], Justine Skye [Atlantic], Daisha [Epic], Tiara Thomas [Interscope] and Brandy [TBA].

On the songwriting front, Varner recently wrote “Personal” for Jessie J along with Jenna Andrews and William Wiik Larsen (Will IDAP). The track appears on the British artist’s latest album “Personal,” out now via Republic Records.

Further songwriting credits by the “Refill” star include Miguel’s “Use Me” [RCA Records] and Tanika’s “Run Away” [Tim & Danny Music / Capitol Records].

Polly A. has announced the title for her upcoming project.

The singer/songwriter – real name name Meleni Smith – christened her next collection of songs “Ghetto Gold Dreams” and will release it early next year.

“Ghetto Gold Dreams” serves as the follow-up to “Distorted Fairy Tales,” which features the Matrax-produced / Frankie Storm-assisted single “Nature.”

As a songwriter, Polly A. penned songs for Alicia Keys (“Love is My Disease”), Natasha Bedingfield (“Happy”), Selena Gomez (“Bang Bang Bang”), Angel Haze (“No Bueno”), J. Cole (“Crooked Smile”) and Kat Dahlia (“Mirror”).

Her resume also includes works with hitmakers Stargate (Rihanna, Katy Perry), Toby Gad (Madonna, John Legend), Salaam Remi (Usher, Jordin Sparks), Boi-1da (Tinashe, Kelly Rowland) and Syience (Beyonce, Emeli Sande).

Nicki Minaj has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The rapper, singer and songwriter posted the Hannah Lux Davis-directed clip for “Only” to her official Vevo page on Friday (December 12, 2014).

“Only” – featuring Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown – is lifted from the artist’s upcoming third album, “The Pinkprint,” out on December 15 via iTunes in partnership with Cash Money Records and Republic Records.

Production duties on “Only” were handled by Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald (Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne), Henry “Cirkut” Walter (Rihanna, Miley Cyrus) and Jeremy “JMike” Coleman (Selena Gomez, Britney Spears).

The follow-up to 2012’s “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” also includes previous promotional cuts, the Ester Dean-assisted “Pills N Potions” and Da Internz / Polow Da Don -produced “Anaconda.”

Tinashe announces sophomore album plans

Tinashe has announced plans to initiate the process of recording her upcoming sophomore studio collection in January, 2015.

For the still-untitled project, the singer/songwriter – born Tinashe Jørgensen Kachingwe – hopes to reunite with DJ Mustard (“2 On”), Boi-1da (“Fragile”), Stargate (“All Hands on Deck”) and Mike WiLL Made It (“Thug Cry”).

Her debut album, “Aquarius,” was released earlier this year in October via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records. The studio collection peaked at number seventeen on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

She also provided guest vocals on songs including “Jealous” by Nick Jonas [Island Records], “Body Language” by Kid Ink [RCA Records] and “Dollar Signs” by Calvin Harris [Columbia Records].

The hip hop artist posted the lyric-based visual clip for “Only” – featuring regular collaborators Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown – to her official Vevo page on Friday (November 07, 2014).

“Only” – helmed by Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, Henry “Cirkut” Walter, Jeremy “JMike” Coleman and Rock City – is now available for download via iTunes.

The track follows previous single “Anaconda,” which peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

Elle Varner has released her new single online.

“Fuck it All” is now available for download via iTunes (US) in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The track – which was produced by Warren “Oak” Felder and Andrew “Pop” Wansel – is lifted from the artist’s sophomore album, “Four Letter Word.”

MBK Entertainment CEO Jeff Robinson will executive produce the highly-anticipated studio collection. He is also overseeing the next releases by Gabi Wilson, Justine Skye, Daisha, Tiara Thomas and Brandy.
